The hotel is a bit tired. Could use a refresh update. Otherwise just fine.

The hotel was clean and breakfast was good. Staff were nice and friendly. The sofa bed is old so would recommend replacing the sofa bed. Whirlpool and pool was nice.

We arrived late to find our room had never been cleaned and had garbage and wet towels on the floor and the bed was unmade. When we went down to get another room we found that there were no others and no one who was willing to clean ours. We left and had to contact hotels.com to get a refund, who had to get a"courtesy waiver" of the fee, even though it was all their fault.

Conveniently located hotel in Devils Lake close to shopping, gas stations, and restaurants.
The staff were friendly and seemed to care about their responsibilities.
Our hotel room was clean and comfortable, although it seemed the walls in the hotel were a bit "thin", as you could hear a fair bit of peripheral noise.
The complimentary breakfast was tasty and met our expectations.
Overall, the Devils Lake Holiday Inn Express was worth staying in, especially at the rate we were able to get.

Front desk seemed like she was maybe having a bad day. Not much info just fill this out and heres your key. Carpet in room was disgusting needed replacing long ago. Being a fishing and hunting town they should probably go vinyl. Shower curtain smell so sour and mildew it was bad. For a holiday product and for top dollar for that town pretty disappointing. And the card swiper on the east end of the building didn't work but the dooer didn't shut right anyway so didn't matter.

Dingy, homeless in the nearby park, soap shelf in the shower broke off & fell at 2 am, musty smell, & not where I would stay again.

Friendly and helpful staff, especially Nathan at check in. The hot tub was not very warm and jets not working properly. The carpet in the room was worn and needs to be replaced.

Terrible offerings in the am. coffee was the worst ate a bluberry muffin, ended up puking, old moldy, will never go back to that place again, no one at the front desk,

This is our favorite place to stay in Devils Lake. The staff is so kind and caring, willing to help if you need anything. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is always good and hot.

I have stayed at this hotel before a few years ago and it was nice. This time the ac unit was broken in my room and when notified nothing was done about it. The place has been run down.

Twice we were sent to rooms that had all of the furniture stacked up and carpeting was soaking wet because the carpets had been cleaned. Third time was the charm. Overall the hotel was clean, just annoying to be sent to rooms that weren't ready.

Lovely big room. Nothing fancy but very clean and adequate. Only complaint is that I like having my room made up everyday and they don’t there. We had to call the front desk to get dry/clean towels. And someone came up immediately with a huge stack of fresh ones!

Never towels for the pool. When I asked the front desk they stated ‘Oh and walked away’. I thought are you brining me some?Room had left over sauce packets behind the fridge. Room service gave extra towels but did not remove all garbage. Cleaning could have been more through.
Breakfast attendant was very helpful and kind! My child struggles with the pancake maker and he helped (and stayed) until the machine made him the pan cakes properly.
Be aware if your skin is sensitive to chlorine, the pool has A LOT.
