Room was spacious with a lovely outlook over the river/Marina and very clean. Perfectly acceptable pump pack shampoo etc in the bathroom. Really nice pool which looks out over the river. For the price it was great! There was also free undercover parking, decent free wifi and very friendly, helpful people on reception. I’d definitely stay again if I needed to be in this particular neighbourhood.

Definitely not a four-star hotel experience - I'm suprised they can say that. The hotel is very old fashioned looking and the room was nothing like on the photo. Very dated and old with the tiniest single beds for the twin room.
Tea making facilities were also very basic and cheap brands of tea / coffee. The balony was very dirty and the curtain to balcony door was dirty and moudly. Rest of room was clean though.
Water in shower was good though - very good pressure and nice and hot.
Position is great too - very close to transport and the Newport pub.

The walls of the room were filthy and covered with thick layers of dust. When you turns the bedside tables on, the light highlighted the absolutely terrible dust. Great location, great view, but budget dirty accomodation.

Airconditioning did not work ,no dining facilities or suitable substitute black mould in shower, . I realise that some parts of the building were being repaired but this was not satisfactory

We stayed in spacious room with a fantastic view out over the pool and marina. The staff were professional and there was on site parking. Room was clean, however showing signs of wear and tear.

However it is a across the road from“The Newport” where lots of Pubs, cafe’ and restaurants.

Room was filthy and dirty there was even someone Elses hair in the bathtub, air-conditioning rattled all night could not get any sleep. Dirty carpet and old dirty furniture that i Remember being there 25 years ago place is just so old and overdue for an update.
Staff where good they moved us to another room and comped us breakfast and a bottle of wine.

Worse accomodation I’ve ever stayed in, old half the lights not working, smoke detectors removed, smelt like mould, feel like we were in the dungeon of the building.

Some parts of the room needed attending. Stains on the lounge, TV needs upgrading, spa had a crack on the side. Shower head leaking. Staff were nice. Parking was ok. Within walking distance to coffee shop and Bar restaurant. All together a nice place to stay and will be coming back.

Just a 1 night stay, catching up with friends over the Easter period. Great location, lovely view, pool was fantastic.
Comfy beds basic rooms but everything was clean, comfortable and fresh. The building is just a little worn out. But for a 1 nighter it was perfect.

Unsuitable car spot, the room was dusty and there was mould everywhere. We stayed there 5 days and the staff never made up our room, once we ask at the reception they said as it was long weekend they were just doing cleaning for new arrivals.

The waterfront room views and the pool were the strengths of our stay, but the hotel itself is “very” deteriorated and no breakfast was offered because it was Monday.

The property was very nice. I love the quiet and that I had no stairs to climb. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall a very pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel for convenience, comfort, cleanliness & the quiet atmosphere. Thank you for an enjoyable experience.👍👍👍👍👍

Was quite old and looked aged. Conveniently right opposite The Newport pub. Parking on the property, if you have a smaller type car, is fine but for anything bigger you’ll be parking on the street

Our 2 night stay was quite good however property has Hugh potential for update and is really needed .. it was a very convenient location for us.. on site parking was very difficult with tight spots.. staff were extremely accommodating and very helpful. Price was great for our lovely view although a balcony would have been fabulous

This hotel is very tired and nothing like the photos. First night I was kept awake with doors banging and people talking. We booked 3 rooms, the room on level 1 ( they had a baby ) outside their room was a common area and after they came home from the pub, stopped outside near the pool and smoked and were very loud. Booked for 3 nights didn’t bother with the 3rd. Very disappointed.

Stayed at the Mirage for a staycation up on the Northern Beaches. Yes the property is tired and really there aren’t any facilities you’re going to use except your room, but that’s what you get for the price. It’s priced appropriately, and well located for everything Newport, Avalon and the northern beaches offers, and right opposite the Newport Arms and Bert’s (the new fine diner within it). The staff couldn’t be friendlier and more accomodating too. Is it fancy? No. Is it priced accordingly? Yes. Just don’t expect more than a bed for the night in a great spot. And take your ear plugs, rooms are a bit noisy.

We checked out after 30 mins the bed was so hard you couldn’t even sleep in it it was bad enough just sitting on it. Badly needed updating and cleaning!!

The staff were very professional. They were each exceptional.
The room was comfortable but there is mold on the ceiling above the entrance and above frig cabinet.
The parking garage is a nightmare.

Moldy room. Got upgrade after we gave notice. Pretty run down and water damaged thoughout though. Very pleasant staff, and great neighboring restaurant/venue!
