Great location right in the centre of the old town, with lots of cafes and restaurants around. Beautiful historical building, nice rooms, and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

The staff was kind and friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The location could not be beat! However, the hotel is tired and the room had that smell of mildew. Also, the shampoo and soap in the bathroom were not great. But again, the people and location made our stay still a good one.

The staff at the hotel is really quite special. Thomas, Luca and Noura were welcoming, kind, knowledgeable and very friendly. All of their recommendations were fabulous and they made my brief time in Ljubljana memorable and enjoyable. I can’t speak highly enough of my stay here.

Cute place at the edge of the pedestrian area. But with early sunrise they really need to invest in blackout curtains. Shower was small and didn’t drain well. Breakfast was perfect but nothing special

The location is superb, right at the edge of the old town so not as noisy as a place right smack dab in the middle of everything but only a 3 minute walk to be right in the middle of everything. The staff are amazingly helpful, I had a medical issue and one of the staff members went really beyond the call of duty to help me find a medical provider.

This is a quaint hotel with lots of character. It’s old but it’s in the historic part so of course. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The breakfast was good and accompanied my gluten allergy. Just off the river lots of restaurants and shops. Parking is only 8 minute walk but there is a shuttle. No elevator so need to walk up stairs but they helped me with the luggage 😃

Lovely hotel on the edge of the traffic free old town. Comfortable room, friendly staff and a great breakfast. Easy walking via the traffic free area to the main sites.

The staff was amazing. The manager walked me down to a bus stop to make sure I would be in the right place to meet the airport shuttle! The location is perfect, right in the center of the old town. Many restaurants and shops a few steps away.

We loved our stay here, everybody was so welcoming and nice, from check in until we left. We got a very good sized room, and to our great surprise robes and slippers as well 😍 Bed was so comfortable! We will certainly be back! Ida and Paul

Great location - just a few minutes walk from the main tourist areas. My room was out the back of the hotel but it was warm and very comfortable. It was great to have a kettle and small fridge. I dont think it has a lift (so bear that in mind if its relevant). The breakfast was ok, a good selection of cold food plus scrambled egg and sometimes bacon or fried eggs. Wifi was good. I would stay here again.

The staff was excellent and took extra steps to be helpful. The hotel was perfectly situated within the old town. The facilities were very charming.
There was no parking available next to the hotel. Closest parking was located approximately a quarter of a mile from the hotel at €19 per 24 hours. However, I’ve found this is common whenever I stay within European old town areas.

The location of the hotel is great with easy access to shops and many top-quality restaurants and bars. However, the crowning glory of the hotel is the staff. I have traveled all over the world and I have not seen anywhere hotel staff that are so accommodating to the guests. They assist you in any and many ways. Luca and Olí are exceptional. I had to leave on a bus from Ljubljana to Zagreb to catch a flight to Istanbul but the bus was late and I would have missed my flight. Luca had researched on his own other options. If he had not informed me there was a train to Zagreb I could take, I would have missed my flight. That is just one of many ways they make sure their guests are well taken care of.

Beautiful Town, better Hotel options. Unless you don’t mind 19 step climb to very dated 2nd floor bedroom or 34 step climb to a 3rd floor bedrooms with hallway bathrooms, per advertised room rate. 4 star is a fiction. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

We stayed in room 15 and it was clean and cool and comfortable. There were plenty of towels and a good bathroom with shower. There is no one on duty between 11pm and 7am, so watch out for late check-in. We left very early for a train in the morning so we missed out on the breakfast, which starts at 7.

The staff of the Allegro went out of their way to make our stay pleadurable. We had a ptonlem with our room as there were many steps to climb. The very next day our room was chsnged.

The hotel is in a great location... and is charming. Though we were given a room on the top floor. The ceilings were all slanting and there wasn't much room where you could stand up straight - including in the bathroom. There were only sky lights so you couldn't open a window and had no view. If you choose to stay here, make sure you aren't on the top floor.
