Anyone with mobility issues should look only at the newer units on the property.
The charmingly uneven floors of the original, vintage structure can prove difficult for some guests.

Sandaway was the perfect 3 night stay for my husband and me. The room was beautiful, the sheets and bed was luxurious, and the views of the water in our screened in porch was fantastic.
The owners couldn't do enough for us. The communication was great and they left plenty of snacks and coffee which was appreciated. I asked for a few more towels and it was delivered to our door within minutes. We will definitely stay again. Thank you Gibson Family!!

Beautiful property with an amazing view. Staff went above and beyond in every way. The area is lovely and quaint. Don’t forget to take the ferry to St Micheal’s!

Loved this gem of a hotel in Oxford. Perfect for a short getaway. Lovely property with chairs to sit right by the water and enjoy the sea breeze. Room was adorable with a view of the water. Oxford is a cute little town and everything is easy to get to from the hotel. Highly recommend Sandaway.

Sandaway is a great place for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. If you like the serenity of a beachfront property with tons of history, then Oxford is the place to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets- and everything in between.

We were updated by th owners due to heat wave they upgraded us to a room that was cooler. Best part it had a balcony which we enjoyed. The inn was perfect for our stay.Wish we could of stayed more nights. We will definitely be back

I took a solo trip and picked the perfect spot. This family owned inn is great for a family trip, a romantic getaway, or for a quiet escape by yourself. The owners are such a welcoming family and made me feel very like VIP. I will be going back and recommend Sandaway to anyone looking for that getaway in the Eastern Shore. Thank you Gibson Family for a wonderful experience!

What a wonderful place !So many extras made it feel like home …. Extra trash cans in the room and 2 in the bathroom!… lots of chairs outside and special hammock like chairs on the porch! So many nice touches … lots of lamps on the room … nice … the only downside was NO BREAKFASTS! When we pay $ 300 a night we expect breakfast … and the place the owner told us we could go and buy breakfast was closed the whole time we were there for 3daus! Just a little continental breakfast would have made this perfect

The bed in 109 needs to be rotated or flipped. It dipped at the head board.

Absolutely beautiful!! Perfect setting for a quiet getaway. Loved the room. Quaint but spacious. Had all the amenities and lots of privacy. We had our own screened in porch. The welcome gift pack on arrival was such a nice touch. There is not much to do in the town and the few restaurants were closed. But we found a little market and made do. The employees were super friendly. A beautiful town for a nice walk or bike ride. Overall a great place to stay for a quiet getaway.

We had a great time and really enjoyed this place. The setting is gorgeous. We especially loved the Easter Basket surprise. Nice touch. Perfect place to get away and disconnect.

This place on on the Tred Avon River with great views and across the street from the Robert Morris Inn, which has good food. It is dated and probably a two and half star hotel without the view and a 3 star with the view.

The property and facilities are well maintained,and every possible need is supplied..they even had a wine opener which was a nice touch. the only minus we noticed was the musty smell in the rooms. However, I appreciated the extra touches overall.

We had a wonderful stay! Quiet and relaxing. Places within walking distance to eat. Beautiful water views. Comfortable room with a great screened porch. Ice provided in a cooler and some snacks upon arrival. Overall a great time and we hope to return!

Very nice relaxing waterfront stay - due to COVID restrictions a lot of restaurants were closed or on limited schedules but the town of Oxford is very charming and the residents were extremely friendly - Will definitely visit again

This is a great place to get away from the commercial aspects of Saint Michaels yet be close enough to enjoy it. It is also a great place for biking.
