The hallway carpet on the 4th floor looked as if it had not been vacuumed in days. We were given a handicap accessible room (with hard floors and no bathroom countertops) when we were not handicapped and did not order one, there was no complimentary breakfast like most places offer, and I would have been charged $3.00 for a generic brand bottle of water if I had opened it in my room. Very disappointed!

So the rooms shown on their website are completely different than the actual room. Our room had zero carpet, no room decoration, no ambiance. The ONLY thing that was good was the bed. Will never stay here again.

Major issues, booked a larger room with king bed and corner tub to help with travel pain, prepaid 5 days in advance. Got there , " we have no kings" then " we have no tubs" " we have no larger rooms" " Yes there was painting on each floor " sink did not drain, air conditioner thumped loudly all nite. no coffee downstairs, no breakfast. We have asthma , staying in a freshly painted space was not ok. Elevator taped off and dropclothed etc. Website does not reflect any of this, no heads up for health issues etc. No offer to mitigate issues. Just 4 word responses . Absolutely worst experience and we've stayed all across usa. Never felt so poorly treated. We are Hilton honors... and chose this because we can count on the Doubletree. or could, apparently not anymore

The staff was friendly however scarce... No instructions where to go to find the elevator to get to our room. Breakfast was supposed to be included when our stay, went down for breakfast. The girl told us that there is no complimentary breakfast and didn't provide any more information so we left.
The place is under construction as they are remodeling.However, the remodeling work looks poorly done.
The room felt cold, looks wise...had no appeal.

This was an overnight stay for an awards banquet. Room was nice.

No where did it say on the Hilton app or on Expedia that the hotel was undergoing renovations. Lots of noise and workers in and out. Would have been nice to know during booking process.

The room was clean and great for the weekend trip that we needed visiting family. But they FALSE ADVERTISE their supposed “free” breakfast. They tried telling us that it was only a credit for two people when we had booked a room for FOUR people. How does that make sense. The staff also thought it was ridiculous. They said that they are sorry but that’s what they did for COVID. If you are coming hoping to get a fairly priced room and breakfast I would go somewhere else there’s better options.
Oh and get this if you go over your credit they will charge you more what a scam. At least just be truthful about what you advertise.

The hotel staff were kind and personable. They were constantly working hard to make our stay enjoyable. It was clean, the pool was beautiful the food was amazing. It was like being home away from home. The best kept secret and our permanent favorite hotel.

We were very impressed with the staff. They were all very welcoming and bent over backwards to ensure that our stay was amazing. Very clean facilities and I was impressed with everyone and everything. I would absolutely stay here again.

When we returned to our room on the evening of 8/5 the AC was not working. We went to the front desk and were told maintenance had gone home and nothing could be done. There were three of us and all they offered was one King room. We asked for a roll away and were told that was not available. Eventually, we accepted the one king room and one of us slept on the floor. This is absolutely unacceptable. I paid for 3 people to have a place to sleep. I believe I should recieve a refund / compensation for this event

Room was clean but not well furnished. Large room with tiny closet. Faucet was broken. "Pool view" was the parking lot. Pool was very nice but not cleaned and had lots of bugs in it.

The good: Nice facade and great location. Nice size pool, adequate gym, comfy bed & pillows, breathable bedding, good size room. The front desk employees were pleasant. Main lobby is clean and inviting.
Not so good: I was disappointed to receive a room with double beds rather than the King I reserved via Hotels.com. Upon investigation, I learned When booking a room via A third party, you are not guaranteed the room you think you are reserving (my husband and I slept in separate beds). The hallways, bar & restaurant are a bit dark & outdated. Needs a little TLC in different areas. The tub & grout need updating.

Location was good. Staff was xlnt. Unfortunately the hotel itself needs a full facelift. Pictures must be from when it first opened because it is not the same. Room was large but very stark and dated. Hardwood floors make for lots of echoes when there is no furniture. AC roared like freight train. Rusty bathtub/shower. Disappointing for a Doubletree

Nice pool but dirty with leaves and bugs (black bees). Furniture was old and mattered.
The first night a fire alarm went off. I have a back injury. Needless to say it wasnt a pleasant stay

Property was decent. Definitely some maintenance that could be done for things like loose tile. The bathroom lights were compact fluorescent lights which was interesting...state of the art lights 20 yrs ago. We thought the lights were broken, but they just take a minute to get bright. The cookies at check in were amazing. Would have been great to have 1 every day.
The biggest problem is with marketing. I searched on Expedia for hotels with free breakfast. This came up. It appears that this hotel figured out a way to avoid being filtered by offering one hotel option with breakfast for a much higher price and then all other options without breakfast. I was tricked by this scam when I didn't realize the other options that had the breakfast symbol were not free breakfast. I won't be staying here again.

In the past, I have Love staying at the Doubletree hotels maybe it’s because of the cookies I don’t know but this trip made me a little sad. The hotel seems to be very rundown. I had to change rooms because my shower had was not working in the room needed a little bit of repair, the staff was excellent check-in was very easy and cookies were warm!

The highlight was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful!
The hotel overall was not clean. The bathroom left much to be desired. There was pubic hair and dust on the edges of the walls and the tub needed a good cleaning. The fixtures and caulking around the tub were rusty.
The room looked like someone was was moving out but they hadn’t taken the large furniture, haha! The rooms feel pretty bare. The wood floor is nice, but it makes the room feel even more bare, and loud because there is nothing to dampen the sound.
Overall, we lived but we wouldn’t stay again. At least, not until they do some updating and clean the place up.

Property nice. It across from Top golf which was a plus, and 10 minutes away from our softball field Cactus Yard. We there for a softball tournament.
The room were clean and well organized. The dinning breakfast you pay advance is a little confusing. Do it if you plan on eating there. If not, than don’t. You get a deal when paid advance or else it real expensive.
I just didn’t like coffee not free, and doesn’t get brewed till 7am. We are early people and had to be out the door to field at 6:30am.

Just a so-so experience. This wouldn’t be my first choice in hotels if I return to Gilbert. Nothing stood out good or bad. Very average. I would have liked at least partial carpet in my room. All wood floors weren’t comfortable to me.

Had a nice stay. Thomas the bar tender diner server was a good guy, served us well.
The air conditioning is very noisey, my mother I law said the same for her room as well sounds like a truck starting up. The ada accommodations need to be upgraded. Room Toilets are really low or people who are older and have a hard time getting up.and most lobby chairs are to low as well. But still not a bad place to stay. Just need some upgrades.

The woman at the check in counter could not be more kind. Maybe because of the kitchen it smelled of grease cooking which I didn't like. Everything else was great.
