No AC, lots of stray dogs, neighborhood kids moving freely inside the hotel, dirty linens, no private toilets. no shower, not suitable for anything.

Mediocre bed, skewed mattress No towel. However very authentic 60's decoration and in the vicinity only couple of hotels so in that sense this is the only sensible option to experience this area. Taxi cant go directly to door in other hotels.
I recommend for couple of nights, not more.

No towels. Single pillow only. No lift- difficult with heavy suitcases. Very friendly. Excellent breakfast.

I didn’t like the way the mattress smelled, they need new mattresses, If you use Uber you have to insist they pick you up from the hotel, the neighborhood is called the City of the Dead and it does appear to have a lot going on. Do not get into Taxi cabs you didn’t reserve online or get out of a Uber in a location other than your hotel, one Uber driver eventually had to admit that I was directing him to the correct hotel after he wanted to drop me off somewhere else, I’d walk up to the Main Street the night before and noticed the businesses that were at the corner of the street and that how I was able to safely make it back to the hotel. You can’t use your debit card anywhere near the hotel, Uber to the grocery store, there are businesses in these neighborhoods in Egypt that will allow you to use your debit card, you need to use your debit card rather than Egyptian money so that if something were to happen, the bank can advise where you were spending money last, I used Uber to go to the grocery store twice while staying there. You can hear talking all night some nights in the neighborhood and there some sort of religious belief that are communicated multiple times of day and night using loud speakers. I also didn’t like the way the pillow smelled.

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience overall! Egyptian Oriental Breakfast was not served as it's advertised for. Some of the staff members was rude, disorganized and lack professionalism. All they care for is money. (Others were friendly though). Smoking cigarettes is allowed in all rooms and you can smell the sting of it creeps in to your room. Some guests were loud almost all night no one bothered to inform them to be considered of other guests sleeping. No quality service whatsoever.
Location is good that's about it.
I won't be repeating my stay.

Abbas truly is incredible and made my trip to Egypt even more enjoyable. The location is somewhat hidden so it was nice to be away from the busy streets and the rooftop was also a nice perk as well.

The hotel is close to where I needed to attend functions, shopping and dining. The staff are very nice people to deal with.

The costumer service was fantastic. Ayman was a decent, kind and helpful person. The property was pretty clean and well organized. The hotel is in a walking distance from Islamic Cairo. My favorite part was the free breakfast. There was plenty of food and was so yummy. I highly recommend Arabian nightd hotel.

Just had a good and memorable 3 week stay in Egypt at Arabian Nights hotel. The location is great; situated right in the heart of Old Cairo and close walking distance to many local facilities and even a few popular tourist sites. Staff members were also friendly and helpful, promptly responding to any problems we had. Our morning breakfast was really nice with both options (Arab/continental) sufficiently varied and tasty. The room itself was comfortable and decent in size, while the WiFi generally worked well during our stay too. Overall, great value for money.
Considerations/improvements: the local area isn't the cleanest and has several stray cats/dogs, which cause noise during the night that can be a nuisance for sensitive sleepers. The shower cubicle only has a partial screen, which results in water spillage onto the main floor after a shower. The fridge/cupboard were usable, but ideally could do with replacing.

The only thing that was ok was the owner........This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in ......we changed hotels straight away.... Don't just read the reviews, check who wrote the reviews, because the whole area was the same .

The customer service we received at this hotel was of the highest quality. Mahmood and his staff were the most helpful. 10/10 recommend it. The rooms are comfortable from what you would expect from a budget hotel. Its basic but comfortable.

It was too good to be there. Mr. Mehmood and Muhammad do every possible thing to make their customers satisfied with their stay. Both of them understand/speak English because I have had no knowledge pf Arabic language so it was a great help. I felt secure and contented their as in the first 3 days of stay I was alone, later my husband joined. Hotel area is like downtown and in Islamic Cairo, there is too much to explore and eat. It was not a lavish hotel but it was equipped with everything we need at home. I am really happy with the stay there.

The location of the hotel was convenient to some of the sites we planned on visiting in Old Cairo. The hotel is excellent value for the money we paid.

Very poo, despite what it says this is not a hotel its a hostel. its down a really shody road and the rooms we were given were dirty, bathrooms weren't the best. stayed 1 night out of seven and switched hotels. The staff however were really helpfull and polite and even helped us look for another hotel. but would only recommend for backpackers or people just looking for a place to crash for the night.

WiFi was a problem, not being available in my room. It did work in reception sometimes. The management was friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at this hotel ten days. This is an older hotel that is very well kept and superbly managed. In my experience they really care for there patrons and do the best they can to accomodate their needs. The location is excellent; close to freeways and walking distance to Al Azhar university.

The hotel staff collected me from the airport. They were waiting at arrivals for me, which was great.
My room was huge and very clean. Couldn't hear any noise from the street and the air conditioner was a welcome feature! The shower had hot water available 24 hours a day (a rare treat in Cairo!) and the bathroom was immaculate (western style toilets).
Breakfast was cooked up in a few minutes and the hotel staff were always on hand with advice. They helped secure taxis for my journeys. They were very honest and did things out of the goodness of their heart and not for tips; this really set them apart from other hotels in the area.
The hotel proximity to tourist sites of interest is brilliant and everything is within an easy 10 minute drive (Azhar park, the Citadel and the National Museum). There are currency exchange shops nearby and a pharmacy next door.
Really enjoyed my stay here and look forward to another stay in the not too distant future!

Excellent location! A quick 10 minute taxi ride to the Citadel, Azhar park and the Sultan Hassan mosque. Khan Khalili market is a mere 5 minute walk away (through the easy-to-navigate amd safe back streets).
The staff at the hotel are fantastic. We had airport pick up and drop off service, which was on time, quick and easy. Muhammad is an asset to the hotel and went out of his way to help us during our stay. The staff are fluent in several languages, namely English, Spanish and German, which was very useful.
The ensuite room was very spacious and clean. We had new bedsheets and toiletries upon arrival. Breakfast was filling and there was always someone in the reception area, for help.
The shared toilets, landings and lobby area are very, very clean and I look forward to staying here again very soon!

Me and my partner were rather disappointed to be honest with the overall service of the hotel. We had requested for a private bathroom and double bed for ourselves but had to end up sharing a bathroom with other hotel occupants and sleep on two single beds joined together. According to the hotel manager, we had requested for a shared bathroom, which is not true, perhaps there had been a misunderstanding on their behalf. Nonetheless, the manager ensured us that he will provide us with a room w/ bathroom and double bed the following day after we had checked in but that wasn't the case. The next day he started saying that only if a room becomes available with these facilities and that he could not guarantee this to us. So we just gave up approaching them after that and we did not hear from them about this matter again. The bathroom facilities were really unhygienic, the chef during breakfast time smoked with one hand while making breakfast with the other, the kitchen too was very unhygienic, my wife stopped having breakfast after the first day of experiencing all this! The blankets/ duvets, bed sheets and bath towels were also very old and stained.

The staff is wonderful. Very helpful and nice. Made sure we did not get ripped of. Gave great advice about where to go/how to get there and set up a very safe and inexpensive personal driver. As for the room... You get what you pay for. Good value for money and great for people traveling on a budget. Breakfast on the rooftop was lovely. Just know you arent paying 4 seasons prices, you arent going to be staying in a 4 seasons room. Overall, not too bad.
3.5
Overall, the hotel is hardly worth the amount paid to stay. Double the price and stay somewhere ten times as nice. They offer round-trip transportation to the airport. This is an outright lie. Because of a reduction in tourists, they no longer offer this service.

Well, for a budget motel in Cairo, I was very pleased. It was in a pretty run-down area near Khan Khalili, but the night manager was superb, helpful, considerate, and accomodating. I did have a problem in the morning trying to get my breakfast, and there were ants in the upstairs seating area. Cairo is kind of a rough, unkempt city, so I don't know how much to be appalled by or surprised by. The hotel was extremely clean: showers, floors, sinks, bedding, etc., so that was marvelous. There was a very affordable, delicious take-pizza eaterie just down the street, not a nice place to linger at for long, as there were rabid dogs and stray cats, but to watch the local Egyptians smoking their nargileh and watching the news and soccer games was culturally interesting.
