They definitely need to remove the weeds from the flower beds in front of our room. They were over 2 ft tall and spilled into the elevated sidewalk. Lots of bugs and spiders in the mess.

Took a few to get into the room as they couldn’t get room key to work on 2 different rooms. Pics look like they are old ones cause it didn’t look that nice

You'll get exactly what you expect from this vintage beachy motor inn - an older property with adequate amenities and a well-worn charm. Nothing was overly notable or fancy, but neither could it be called barely tolerable or rundown. It was clean, the locks locked, the bed wasn't lumpy, the hot water was hot, and the A/C worked. It met our needs for the night at a price that didn't break the bank during beach season. If you seek modern, sleek, and professional, then you'll want to budget a bit higher and look elsewhere. But if you are like me and relish the experience of a classic roadside motel with pared-down mid-century beach vibes and interesting characters on staff, then this might be for you.

This is an old motel, but the price was right. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. We didn't use the pool, but it looked inviting. The bed was comfortable. The bedspread had a tear in the fabric, but everything was clean and the staff was friendly. The free parking right outside our room was nice.

This property is only 10 minutes from beautiful Stone Harbor Beach. We prefer a littel space from congested beach areas so this worked for us.

I would definitely recommend staying at the larger suites with the kitchen. They are in better condition.

I needed something affordable, for one night only, and not too far from my brother’s place in Cape May. The Hyland met my needs perfectly. My room was clean and roomy and access to The Parkway was simple.

While the property is dated, it was clean and the service was good. The beds were comfortable. I would stay again.

Centrally located for MY trip and in a peaceful area

We were in a room all sandy and the shower was not working. We just had the bath, that was really old, patched et not that clean. At least, we were juste there for the night.

Good bargain for being close to the shore in July. Older facility but mostly clean and comfortable.

It may look a little run down, but it is very clean and professional.

The smell in room was unbearable. Carpets were very stained and worn.

A quaint motel for our stopover trip to our beach rental. Desk attendant was friendly. We would have enjoyed the pool if it had not been raining.

The parking was nice, the pool was great. The rooms were ok. Definitely need to renovate the rooms (painting) , and the beds would always move (they have wheels) . We stayed for 3 days, the never changed the sheets after our first night. They only came and did the bed with the dirty sheets, and how i knew? Because my toddler had her milk bottle and some seipped to the sheets that first night, the next morning we went out and came back, the bed was done, but the same sheets were on there. Very dirty they dont really clean, staffs have to do better, they didnt even put new toulet paper after the first day, we literally had to wait tille the next day to go to the office , which the office opens after 9am.

We actually checked in and checked out about 2 hours later. We were able to get into beach place earlier then expected. So we did not stay. Staff very nice, rooms ok bathroom need updated.. Strong smell of cleaning liquid in room .

Beautiful property, and amazingly quiet given its proximity to the Parkway. However, this old place, and especially our mattress, should be torn down and replaced.

The gentleman in the office for our check in is super!! Always good to us!!

Sorry to report but this older hotel needs an update. It was sufficient for a quick overnight on a road trip but I was disappointed in it appearance. Location was good and easy to check in

Needs some updating. Room is very clean.

At checking, we were charged $50 incidental fee. No previous mention of this. Beds were NOT comfortable. Room was non smoking, but smelled of smoke.
