The room seemed clean when first arriving. But it could have been better, dust and dirt under the bed. Near the coffee & tea table it had junk down the back. It clearly hadn't been deep cleaned in a long time. The air-conditioning hadn't been serviced or cleaned in a long time. When we turned it on as the room was warm, it smelt of damp and wet dog really bad. The main issue we had was that we was located in room 1 in the basement, this room was next to the hotels server which was extremely loud. We spoke to the person on reception and we went down to check, they was surprised that we could hear it. This kept us awake both nights due to it being so loud. No solution was offered, no apologises. Other rooms probably would be fine but when you are paying nearly £185 per night you expect to be able to sleep at the minimum.

Fun and funky spot near the Jordaan and a reasonable walk from the central station. In an old row house / building which gives it a lot of character; might not be a great choice for someone mobility impaired or needing a lot of space.

I had a canal facing room however little did I know there would be roadworks right in front of the hotel so I was greeted to a crane and workmen waking me up with noise from their tools each morning of my stay. I wasn’t best impressed and when I spoke to reception about it they simply said nothing to do with us and we don’t get told about. Nothing was done to appease my frustrations either. The room although worn was acceptable however every time I showered the drain wasn’t able to contain the flow and flooded the bathroom each time so I had to use excess towels to soak it up. Again I told staff who said it was seen to. It wasn’t and each day of my stay I had to put towels down to stop the flow. With these things being said, the area is very nice as you re on the canal belt which is beautiful. Although I had issues I was out all the time so didn’t allow it to grate on me but given I spent a lot on the room to be able to enjoy the view I wasn’t pleased that the hotel simply were indifferent so for me I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great hotel - highly recommend! The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The room we had was big with a large bathroom. Close to the train station and convenient walk to all the sights we wanted to see. Overall, 10 out of 10!

Nice quiet neighbourhood. The quadruple room was very spacious and ideal. Bathroom has bath tub and shower. Lovely Rituals toiletries too. Would highly recommend.

a beautiful hotel, excellent location, wonderful staff! Very lovely part of Amsterdam to be in (away from the main tourist places) and walkable to much in Amsterdam (especially the Anne Frank House, less than 5 minutes away). Will definitely be staying here again when I'm visiting Amsterdam!

Fantastic location in Amsterdam, with easy walks to lots of great dining options. Room was large and well appointed. Staff was super responsive. Will stay here again on our next trip thru Amsterdam.

Great location, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The front desk person was multilingual and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Their front desk and bar area is very nice. They had good breakfast options and you must order a day in advance. Rooms are nice. Air Conditioning Unit was not adequate for the size of our room. Room was nearly 30 Celsius (86 Fahrenheit) using the AC full speed and a stand up fan. For those experiencing Europe for the first time; not having AC units working properly is a thing across multiple countries. You’ll struggle finding decent Air Conditioning. =) great location, we were able to walk to main attractions and the Centraal Station. Overall good experience.
