This Motel 6 was in the right place at the right time, so we opted to try it out. The girl at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. Check in was simple. The room was clean, you can tell the hotel was old but recently renovated. For the price it was an excellent value.

Room

Basic room. Bathroom design so-so. Parking space so-so.. Everything else is good.

We checked in and went to the room to find it did not have jacuzzi like it was suppose to. Went back down and the front desk worker was super rude and at one point called me a liar as I was showing her what we reserved. I told her I would take it up with Expedia. We then got a call in the room that we had 3 choices. Leave on our own, be made to leave, or stay and be charged double. We left and demanded a refund. Worst experience ever.

Checked in the room was not as advertised switched rooms because a heater was not working the bed had body glitter on the sheets and the pillows were dirty the room also smelled of body odor smoke and just plain old funk. Got refunded after the clerk shrugged off the room’s condition and argued that the room was clean. Go at your own risk!

I will NEVER go back I booked a dining room got a non smoking room and it was freezing outside and our room was so cold ur feet can't even walk on the floor our room was freezing and the next morning we complained and after 3pm we got it into a smoking room that was so perfect I just feel like I should have been put there in the 1st place

Upon check in the front desk lady was very rude. Room was clean and as to be expected. Pillows were very then and uncomfortable. Area around the hotel was pretty shady. Check out was at 11...at 10:45 we get a knock on the door from house keeping. We inform her that we were still there and that we were packing up and would be out shortly. She then responds with "you have 5 minutes or you will be charged another day and won't be refunded your deposit." Was not happy about being rushed out. Then when we go to turn in the key, the front desk lady (same as the night before front desk), found out she was also the housekeeping, shouts at me from the 2nd floor to come back up to my room, where she then proceeds to look through the room with me standing there. Unreal. I have never had to do this at any place I have ever stayed.

A budget, pet friendly, clean room and good service is what I look for when travelling and this scores a 5 for me. Front desk was great! I had trouble with the key card and was moved to a different room right away. Both rooms were clean. The shower was perfect, easy to use and water temperature and pressure were perfect. Linen, floors, fridge were all clean. On my way to visit family I just needed a place to sleep. As previous reviewers have mentioned, you can hear the traffic, but that doesn't bother me. When I travel, I'm lucky to be awake 5 minutes after my head hits the pillow (which had better be clean and fresh!). This is not an upscale place... if you are looking for that, go elsewhere. But if you want sleep in a clean room and you want to feel safe and don't want to spend an arm and a leg to do it, then this is the place. If there are issues, you want friendly staff who treats you like a valued customer. I have two routes I can use to get to my destination; I will go out of my way to stay here next time I travel. Side note: I have travelled with my pets, staying at Motel 6 for over 20 years. This place takes a deposit which is something new for me. I don't like it, but I understand the reasons. My dogs are well trained so my deposit isn't at risk, but I know that isn't the case with all travelers and the owner has to protect his investment. One thing to consider about the room is to place the desk near an outlet. I would like to be able to plug in my laptop.

There was alot of mosquitoes in the room, i got bit like 11 times by them

Hotel is dated. In a not so great area of town. Cheap rates and the staff was really friendly and helpful

We checked in quickly and efficiently. The room was recently renovated and was very clean and had new laminate flooring which feels very clean as opposed to carpet.

I have never been so disrespected and talked down in my life. We had to stay here because of our house burnt. And the people that worked there are heartless and cold. And told me that i could have 3 children in my room only two. It was just a horrible experience. I give them negative 5 stars. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

I come out at 10 58 to put a couple things in the car. Guy says in 2 minutes I'm keeping your deposit. Not only did he steal my deposit he was aggressive and rude at check in. This place run by trashy people with service skills. They're theives

It was very horrible stay the room was nasty there was mold roaches burns on the bedding the door looked like someone had kicked it

Hot tub was awesome. Very nice area.

Room was dirty. Old used soap bars on the bath tub blood on the sheets cigarette burns all over the bed spread tables were all sticky floor was not swept. Bathroom door would not latch towels were dirty and no toliet paper in the room.

The agent inside the office was nothing but rude and judgmental towards me and my girlfriend. And when I went to ask for quarters for the laundromat he again was rude, and unhelpful. I will not be staying again.

Every check-in required the assistance from a 2nd person from the mysterious back room. They always need my ID. I expect booking through Expedia should expedite the check-in process. I wish that part was smoother too.

The room was the dirtiest room I’ve ever booked. Holes in the wall, the sheets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in forever. And the faceplate on the bathroom light switch was exposed for anything to get electrocuted. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone, and now be Leary if any place in Huntington to stay.

Where to even start?The floors had not been swept in months,there was hair in the bathtub (NOT MINE),we had half full toilet paper roll that was in a puddle of water in the floor beside the tub.There were blood stains on the walls, as well as on the comforters.It is a no smoking hotel but there were ashes everywhere in the room.I do not believe the comforters have ever been washed just sprayed with fabric refresher but that only works so long. When I checked in, my reservation was for a king bed downstairs, with coffee maker. I got a double bed room, upstairs, with no coffee maker(there are no coffee makers at this hotel now because of people stealing them the hotel refuses to replace them).Then the lady tried to charge me $13.43 even though the whole stay was already paid for. She could not tell or show me what this charge was for, and I refused to pay it, she said I could ask the owner when I checked out It was there because she changed my room to a double beds room.... Why would I pay for this change I did not want or ask for? Luckily I travel with my own cleaning supplies, and I understand stand this isn't a 5 star hotel but cleanliness should be anywhere a person stays, especially with COVID out there,they say they us COVID cleaning checklist, but if that was true then I wouldn't be writing this long review, that checklist would have taken care of most of the complaints in this review.There was no one in office when we checked out so I was not able to complain in person.

Very run down, blankets had holes in them, mold in the shower and no hot water. I just needed to sleep for the one night but if i go back the west Virginia never going back to this motel
