Maja at reception was incredible
She was extremely helpful with the check in, she gave us loads of recommendations, helped up with our ticket for parking which had become damp in the storm and even wished us well on our travels on the last night.
The breakfast was lovely in the garden and the hotel staff were generally very accommodating

We had a 2 day stop over in Split before our trip to zagreb and slovenia and decided to stay at Hotel Marul based on reviews..Its a small hotel with limited facilities. More like bed and breakfast. Staff at reception and breakfast was good. Location is very close to major tourist spots which is a plus. Rooms r small and very basic. No points there. Overall an ok experience

We had the most amazing time at this hotel. Beautiful, comfortable rooms , strong AC, located in the middle of the historic district , walking distance to the best sights. A nice balcony was a bonus. Excellent breakfast in the garden. Staff members were so welcoming and helpful. Thank you hotel Marul - I recommend this hotel to anyone coming to a gorgeous city of Split .

Booked 2 nights with my wife and 2 kids but stayed only 1 night due to unsafe room. Stayed at one of the top floor rooms with terrace where they transformed the attic into a room with pitched ceiling. The problem is that the pitched ceiling is way too low and unsafe. The kids bumped their heads against the ceiling twice and both me and my wife bumped our head once. It is such a health hazard that it should not be operating as a guest room. The room is also dirty with hairs, dust and spots all over. The Hotel is located literally in a small back allay with dimmed lights and small front door. The hotel also refused to refund the 1 night that I didn't use due to unsafe room condition.

Great location, breakfast was amazing with lots of options, staff was super friendly, offerred directions and suggestions for day trips and could leave bags when waiting for ferry. Was quiet and well air conditioned given the heat. The courtyard was well maintained and there was live music one evening.

Very good location, at old town and close to Riva and the seaside. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast, and nice to garden with possibility to sit outside. very helpful and friendly personal. Transportation from and to airport by the Hotel.

The people running this hotel are amazing, wonderful humans. Everyone goes out of their way to help ensure your comfort and security. The location to the shopping, beach, nightlife etc, can’t be beat. You can not beat the price and location without sacrificing comfort and beauty.

Good stay in general although one reservation was changed from one room to two rooms, room was 38 degrees when entering and a hopeless aircondition system. For a four star hotel and a price around 2200 c. Per night for four people this didn’t match. Service was fantastic anåd friendly.

The hotel is in a great location, only a few blocks from the waterfront but in a quiet area, however if youre driving, parking is a pain. The main lot is only 20 yards from the hotel but its a public lot with not nearly enough spaces. We had to circle for about 15 minutes before someone pulled out and there as a lot of competition for that spot. But the hotel is nice, modern and great staff, Id highly recommend it.

Wifi non existent in the bedroom
Room very small - a double is 2 single beds pushed together and 1 side pushed up against the wall so you can’t get out easily.
Design of hotel means that entertainment in the lobby area sounds like it is right outside your bedroom door - and we were on the top floor.

Hotel transfer from airport Split good and fair value. Reception nice and quick. Breakfast was okay.
In front of bathroom wet stain which good bigger after showering. Strange smell of that stain.

I spent 10 days in Croatia and stayed at 4 hotels, of the 4 Hotel Marul was my favorite. Its location was perfect, not to close to the center but in no way far. It was clean and the employees very friendly and accommodating. We even extended our stay at Hotel Marul for an extra day. Note, if you have a car there is a parking lot you can park in and it wont cost a thing. We enjoyed the dining area, it had a great breakfast and later in the evening you can try out different Croatian wines. It was a wonderful experience.

Our first time in Croatia and Split. What a superb hotel in a superb location. The old town and seaside promenade are all a very close walk. The staff are incredibly professional, speak brilliant English and are incredibly helpful. The room was very well appointed and beautifully clean. Great, comfortable beds and spacious with fantastic water pressure in the very modern shower. We needed to get to the Marina to board a yacht and one of the owners gave us a lift there in his own car and then offered the car to us to go and buy groceries etc. Amazing experience and highly recommend the hotel as they really are amazing people.

Excellent location and service. They picked us up from the ferry and took us back to the ferry which was a very nice and convenient service. Breakfast was good with very good cappuccino. And the people are so nice and kind.
