Dirty floors all over, Sheets not changed in days. We changed our room for a less smelly one. Bathtubs and bath curtain was the worst. The front door was hard to close and had a gap. For $200 a night it was a rip off. Very unpleasant !

Place is located well near the Naval War College and also Newport area. It is an older location and was ok with older type air conditioner. Shower was a bit slow and strong pressure. So a bit pricey for what you get. Fairly clean but just old property that could use an overhaul.

If you need a cheapish place to stay around the area then this is fine but not worth the price. Only have the bare minimum and during the entire day and night, it smelled like poop outside. As if they were cleaning out the septic or something

A very well run budget propery. Worth the money spent. Would stay here anytime. The only downside is the wifi is very spotty. The upside of that is less distractions. 👍

We had two different stays a few days apart, 1st stay the beds were like rocks! and a couple was fighting so bad they sounded like they were coming through the wall at 11:30 at night. The woman was screaming for help at the top of her lungs. We were waiting for fun shots or cops, when it was mentioned to the management, their response was why didn’t you call the cops? Ummmm NO phone in the room and WIFI and internet SUCKED!!!!! Her response well it’s over now and there’s nothing we can do but move past it. The second stay was great, beds were comfy, but the ice machine was broken….it was much quieter and we enjoyed it. Why twice you ask, they didn’t have a room available Fri or Sat and we were there till Tuesday morning working the US Open!

The entire experience was kind of meh. Checking in I wanted to change my reservation to stay one less night and the clerk said that that was not possible. So, I paid for it and did not stay for one extra night. I was promised daily maid service which did not happen. Granted this is a budget motel, but even then, I would expect friendlier service and a better experience. Next time in town, I will look for other accomodations.

As soon as I arrived at Harbor Inn I knew I had made a mistake, but it was too late to book anywhere else… The Harbor Inn sheets are threadbare and the beds have no padding, i slept on top of the comforter and the comforter from the other bed and I could still feel the springs in my back… The Harbor Inn bathroom has rusty fittings, paint peeling off the walls, light is wired to a very loud noisy fan, tiny towels feel like sandpaper and the water is barely warm enough on full hot… The entire vinyl floor was COVERED with black dirt, and I had to clean it myself with a towel, there is NO housekeeping - an obese lady brings towels if you can find her… There is NO coffee anywhere at Harbor Inn (I tried the front desk at 8:45am and the door was still locked), no phone in room, no clock, no hairdryer, two out of order ice machines from the 1950s (filled with leaves) and an empty, out of order vending machine… The icing on the cake was going to the Harbor Inn front desk and there was no one at reception, so I said “hello” and waited a minute, then said hello again a little louder and waited another minute, and five minutes later the “manager” who looks 10 years old came out yelling at me for being rude?!? I was shocked… I’ve never seen a worse place (besides horror movies) and I can’t believe that any website has them listed in their database!! I guarantee every good review is a fake autobot. Pathetic excuse for a place to stay…

Motel badly in need of renovations. Old and dark. Room had to be changed due to possibility of flood from bad drainage. Bed clean and comfortable. Front desk Christine friendly and welcoming.

It was convenient clean and less expensive than other places.

They did not service the room for the 4 days we were there. No clean towels. No emptying trash. There was no weather stripping on the door and bugs came in. The WiFi NEVER worked the entire time we were there. Went to office 5 different tines and nobody was on staff. Note said to call front desk from room phone.. no room phone! Instructions said to maintain safety deadbolt your door....no deadbolt on the door! Horrible hotel. Stay somewhere else

Horrible experience: room was filthy and some of the furniture was damaged. Also, you have to press a buzzer or call a phone number to get into the front office, lol. Go elsewhere.

Very friendly young lady at the office. Property priced correctly for the product you get. Shower was stained and room very dated. Ok for a quick stop.

The room was very quiet and parking was very convenient right outside the door. The floors were new hard surface floors. Very clean and modern. The bedding was new as well. Beds were made nicely. The bathroom is a little dated but acceptable for the price. The room was clean. We were also able to regulate the room temperature to our liking.

We stayed in Newport 1 night. The location was perfect, we felt very safe. The room itself was O.k. bed was comfy. The room was clean enough--if you move furniture to access outlets you'll see it's not deep cleaned. Floor felt like they swiffered it instead of a good vaccum and mop. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! Would stay again for the price

The hotel was perfect for what we needed it for. We were only in Newport for one night for a family wedding. We really only needed a place to dress for the wedding and sleep for the night. This hotel was clean quiet and it seemed to be have been updated pretty recently. The lady at the front desk was friendly and kind and we immediately knew we had made the right decision with this hotel.

Minimum effort on behalf of owner to provide anything for guest. Coffee was supposed to be available in mornings, office not open before we left at 8pm.

There was no one at the front desk after 11pm when I went to check in. So if your flight gets delayed and you arrive after 11pm you will not be able to get to your room, I slept in my car ugh

This inn is better than other inn or motel in the same price. The is clean and spacious. The bedding is form and the quilt is confortable.

Staff was nice, but the room was terrible. Beds were lumpy, the place smelled like urine, and not sure if any of my towels and rags were clean. One towel had toothpaste spit on it and one towel had smeared make up. GROSS! The bathroom floor was sticky and the refrigerator looks like it was made in the 60’s and was extremely loud.

There was no coffee provided and no instructions how to check out as well

The “Bates Motel” as we referred to this pit immediately was dirty, had springs sticking out of mattresses, had cigarette burns on the sink, had a constantly dripping shower, a bathroom door that didn’t lock, and stains on the comforter. It was gross. The staff however were very friendly.

Even though the reviews said the property was dated, we were looking for just a clean room to sleep in so we did not have to drive back to our home state after a wedding. Upon checking in we noticed that it was not only dated, but also not maintained. I’d say the worst thing of all was that it looked like the sheets had not been changed….The pillow cases were all wrinkled, and one of them had a black (possibly mascara mark) on it. Also, we paid a lot for this room. Lastly, I tried calling management twice and both times no one was available to speak to me. I left a message for the first time and within a number of days did not get a callback. This is an honest review. I was almost considering sleeping in my car as opposed to sleeping in those sheets.

Business trip. We wish to have an ice maker next time in 2023. And hope coffee at the room may come back!! Nice quiet stay for sure and love here. We will be back again!! Thank you.

While the clerk at the desk could not have been nicer, the room itself was awful. While the sheets and towels were clean, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The shower was filthy and there was a dirty washcloth left behind. The refrigerator was also rusty.
