Good check in. Plenty of free parking (July). Room was very clean. Nice bathroom. Bed was fine. A/C was fine. Microwave and fridge worked. Adequate pool and deck area. Great access to beach. Tiki bars close by. I’d stay again for the price.

My fiance stayed there and the room smelled really musty and he did not feel safe. We will not book again.

Very good place

I was there on a solo trip..just a one day getaway to unplug. It was just what I needed! The lady at the front desk was friendly and impressed me that she knew my name before I could tell her. The room was very clean, the beach was super accessible, and the privacy I was looking for. I will absolutely return for another solo getaway 😌

Overall good stay for the price. Great little beach room!! Loved the walkway between the rooms. GREAT view if the water. Clean pool and very easy access To the beach! Had issues with the gate getting back into the pool area but would most likely stay again.

Cockroaches!!! Definitely is NOT an 8.5 rating!!! VERY MISLEADING!!! Big, small, & everywhere!! They will NOT refund your money no matter what. They say they’re working on it, then in same breath say last week people left due to COCKROACHES & they still hadn’t done anything before my stay OR at least warn me prior to staying there!!! They relocated me, to a higher floor- still COCKROACHES. They offered no help sanitizing my belongings- I had to throw away most of my belongings in fear of carrying them home! Front desk said the manager- in California- would call me- It’s been 4 days, no call- so surprised, NOT. I told them I would give them time before leaving my review- they honestly do not care!!! They just want your money & expect you to deal with it. Poor, poor customer sensitivity & NOT satisfaction driven. Definitely not in business for the customer, their health or welfare!!! No wonder they’ve changed their name so many times, to outrun their reputation. DONT STAY HERE, you’ll save money by going to a more expensive hotel in the long run. Lesson learned, cheaper IS NOT better on any platforms in this case!!! I wished I would’ve taken pictures- I was too distraught in trying to protect myself- Never, never thought I would have to, front desk said she took pictures & sent them to her boss. I honestly thought they would have done the right thing… Very disappointed & saddened with humanity & the level of care or consideration represented at this Motel!!

Sandcastle is a smaller motel but it is clean and they have done alot of improvements this past year. Their pool has been reopened and you can also access the beach again. It is conveniently located to restaurants and the Eagles. We would stay there again if visiting the Daytona area.

If you are looking for a big chain type hotel this is not your place. But if you want a clean and comfortable motel right on the beach this is it! We were thrilled with everything about this little gem. Check in was smooth, the room was clean and comfortable and we could see the ocean from the porch in front of our room. The motel is definitely old but that just added to the charm for us. It had the feeling of the old Daytona Beach we new as young adults (many years ago). Easy access to the beach and a pool on the property. We were able to walk the beach and view a spectacular sunrise. This was a stop on the way to Port Canaveral for a cruise and we will stay here again before future cruises. So glad we found it.

Such a great little motel to stay in. Yes it's a little dated but it's very cozy. Staff was very attentive and friendly.

The room was dirty!! No access to the beach.

This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. The kitchen table and counter were sticky and visibly dirty. There were dirty dishes in the cupboard. The bathroom floor had not been mopped for a long time.

This a very clean but very dated place. It seems like the rooms have been recently painted. The door to our room was less than 3 feet from the bed and had a large crack that went around the top and one side of the door. Lots of outside smells getting in. The bathroom in our room was very new and very modern. This room normally goes for $85, but during Bike week and Supercross it was three times that price. Not worth that price, but worth a $100 at the most. Had a swimming pool and beach access. The parking is very limited. Not even enough parking for all who stay there. We had to call one night because of no place to park. Ended up parking across the street. I would stay here again but not for 3 times the normal price and I would definitely want a larger room.

Clean, no issues

No real complaints. Clean and organized well enough, room well equipped. Parking was a little lacking but not much they can do about it. They were accommodating with regards to "creative" parking so don't be afraid to park where you fit!

I was charged a $50 security deposit upon check in that was not detailed when making the reservation. The pool was closed. The room was not serviced during my stay.

Floors were dirty, the room hasnt been upgraded in a long time other than the shower which had to done after the hurricane. The rest of the bathroom was sketchy. Neigborhood seemed good.

This place is not bad for the money. It definitely looks like they are trying. Place was moderately clean and smelled fresh. Positives: Nice TV, Large room, Location, water pressure, very quiet, climate control Negatives: Mattress is extremely firm - almost hard, very outdated furnishings

Being on the ocean, clean room

The manager was super nice and helpful me carry my suitcase up the stairs because they didn’t have a handicap one available. My issue not theirs. Still in repairs due to hurricane Irma so not so pleasant on the eyes. Big things I hated was bathroom sink barely drained and no hot water either morning to shower. Almost felt like it was already used up. In a lot of physical pain so a hot shower would have been nice.

The manager at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We arrived earlier than check in time but he checked us in anyway. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

When I entered the room smelled clean and I was impressed with the size. My room 109 had a stove, microwave and full refrigerator. I like the step in Shower instead of a tub. I also like the no key enter. Convenient Laundry access. There was a deck on the second floor to see the ocean. At this time the pool and beach entry was not accessible because of hurricane damage. I could see the ocean, but no access. There is repair being done. Access is easy, only one lot over to a public access. This is not a fancy place, it is a motel. Expect that when you are looking. I had an excellent stay and recommend it for someone who wants to relax by the beach and feel safe and clean accommodations.
