Great stay - bathroom needs a plumbing update but great stay. Really wanted a bath but the lulling under the tap seemed either dirty or rusted and didn’t feel comfortable.

Super well located. Rooms could use with some updating but suited the purpose and can’t complain.

Super run down. Did not stay so lost $200 but didn’t feel clean or safe.

Amazing location in beautiful Sechelt! Ocean walk right outside the Driftwood! Ocean water clean for swimming or paddling. Rocky beach so bring your water shoes! Shopping and various dining options just a few blocks away. This location is a little piece of heaven!

The property was clean staff very friendly was ok for what we asked for. No dining open which was kind of crummy

This probably won’t get posted but I feel the need to warn others/provide feedback to encourage change by hotel. I checked in, viewed my room and immediately booked an alternate hotel. The manager refused to refund (as communicated to me through the kind front desk lady). I will preface this with, I am not a princess, I’ve stayed in some less than ideal hotels but this was beyond what I was willing to sleep in. This is my first poor review of a hotel in my 45 years of travelling. Hotel room smelled like urine, stained bedding, stained chairs, broken curtains, flickering lights and bathroom light bulb had a nice to touch it to make it work (faulty electrical?), filthy, booger on the wall (yes you read that right), bathroom mirror had I don’t know what on it but it was hard to see through. I took several photos which I’ll share on trip advisor. It was not up to basic cleanliness standards. Until these reviews are taken seriously by management the situation will not improve.

Was put in room next to ice machine, people using it constantly while trying to sleep.

The proximity to the ocean and the path along it was great. The proprietor was very nice. Room comfortable and clean. All in all , very good. Thank you for a pleasant stay

Location is great, beach is directly nearby, and gener area around the hotel is gorgeous but the hotel is in poor condition. Feels like the building is ready to be torn down but is still operating until the last minute.

The staff was pleasant. Older motel however it reflected that they have done a few upgrades and improvements. They were near the walking path along the water which was scenic.

Generally Ok. Only problrm is clean issue. Not feel very safe while sleeping in the room.

decent place for the price

Just what we needed and close to the beach. We also unfortunately forgot our keys after front desk hours and they were quick to respond and get us a new set of fobs.

Air conditioning worked well. Comfy bed. Quiet area. Right on a nice walk along the water. Close to amenities.

Everything on the sunshine coast is both weird (in a quirky way) and wonderful - that is what makes it so special. The hotel is no different - weird in it has had a few minor upgrades, but is still relatively sub standard (especially the exterior), and wonderful in it has a fabulous location on the seawall / ocean, and a few blocks from food and shops. And the bottom line - it is the only hotel in Sechelt, so we keep going back.

We were upgraded to the penthouse. That was nice.

Room was cleaned everyday and had an ocean view. It is an aged property but they took good care of the rooms.

It’s not fancy but it’s convenient. The beds are comfortable and the location is excellent.

Ready to be condemned! There was no smoke detector in our room, we had spiders and centipedes crawling around the head of our bed, black mould in the shower, an ant trap in the closet, multiple lights were burnt out, the AC was broken and it’s filters black and disgusting, the TV was from 2002 and also didn’t work and finally… The internet was broken. This dump is not up to fire code or basic health standards. I’ve alerted the fire marshal and would not be surprised if they shut this place down. Sleeping in your car is a better option than this place.

Comfy bed, nice clean thick towels. Room door and exterior door are very loud. Receptionist on check-in was moody. They didnt want to be there.
