Friendly staff, but property was old and not well maintained. Springs poked through the mattress, and my wife got some bites whilst sitting on the small chair in the room. Good location, close to beach and Yacht club. Overall, would not recommend it.

Didn’t stay the night. It was so awful I left and found somewhere else. How this place can get away with charging $170 a night and advertise on your platform is fraud. Disgusting, disgraceful and it should be shut down. Pillow were wafer thin, room smelt of smoke, no WIFI, mattress had springs you could feel, not enough room to swing a cat. Marketing photos must have been taken last century. Simply a rip off. A4 pic on the wall advising that no refunds will be offered told me I wasn’t the first guest to leave. YUK!

I liked the assistance from the staff. I didnt like there were no side tables, no teaspoons, no toiletries, and I didn't like that other guests were drinking and fighting at 3am keeping me awake

You get what you pay for (bed, shower/toilet) and small room. The staff were extremely polite & helpful. Security gate made our stay feel safe. Close to Fannie Bay restaurants & Parap markets which was handy. Comfy bed & clean sheets. Shower was old & stained but clean. Thanks for fitting us in at last minute.

On arrival I thought I arrived at a abandoned building. The office was disgusting and smelt like there was a dead body in it. Was escorted to the room and was horrified by the conditions. It stank was mouldy AC was rattling it was dirty disgusting looked like a prion cell out of Bangkok Hilton. I was too scared to touch anything for fear of disease. I handed the keys back and high tailed it out if there. I wouldn’t recommend it for wild animals. STAY CLEAR !!!

I chose to stay somewhere else also due to the reputation and really shocking reviews on this place.
Wotif and trip advisor should not be recommending such a place for people to stay. You’re completely leading people to a horrible experience based on your recommendations.. this is bad !

I had a very pleasant stay at this motel. The owner is a very lovely helpful man. I felt comfortable as soon as I got there. I had a great nights sleep.

We made a huge mistake by not checking reviews. We did select a cheap motel but this was unacceptable and Wotif needs to take some responsibility by listing the filthiest place I have ever stayed. We paid for 3 nights and left after first night. The most prevalent signage was “no refunds” so clearly it is a common issue.

This property is disgusting. We did not stay but moved to another hotel. The Capricornia is filthy, unsafe and you should not have it in your portfolio. Gives Wotif a bad name

They had no after hours check in facility. No phone number to ring so e couldn't stay there but the place was pretty skanky from the outside

Very bad, no blankets available, there was a dirty bath towel in the fridge so couldn't be used at all (I took pictures) and the fridge was very noisy! No curtains to completely block the view, horrible!

Worst place. Dirty rooms and conditions of the room not up to standard. Power points hanging off the walls. Paint flaking on walls and ceiling. No toilet paper in the toilet. Drunk people knocking on the door all hours of the night. Please don't stay here.

It was cheap so you get what you pay for…but I should have had hot water for a shower. The springs on the mattress were felt and very uncomfortable.

The ceiling fan and air-conditioning unit were filthy. The fan had approx 1inch of dust on the fan blades. There was mould over the air con and coming out of the sides. Spider webs in the shower cubicle, drain was filthy. Smoke detector was removed and NO Hot Water. I have pictures to document. Absolutely disgusted

Very disappointed with the room, fridge was broken, no soap supplied, dirty floor and shower, needs a total repair and update, would not recommend to anyone

STAFF CHANGED MY BOOKING ROOM 3 TIMES AND NONE WAS ANY SATISFACTORY.
DON'T RECOMMEND FOR ANY STAY.
HEALTH AND HYGEINE INSPECTORS REQUIRE TO INSPECT PREMISES.

The room was filthy. Stains on all the walls, the door, and the bathr oom tiles which were cracked to. After pulling the sheet back and looking at the mattress I left. It was putrid! Badly stained and brown all over. I think the found it at the dump. Disgusting and I will be attempting to get my money back!

THE ROOM THAT I BOOKED ON 20TH OF SATURDAY, THE ROOM IS VERY DIRTH COBWEB EVERY WERE BATHROOM AND TOILET VERY DIRTY SO I COULD NOT SLEEP IN THAT ROOM SO I HAVE TO GO TO ANOTHER TO BOOK A ROOM TO SLEEP ON THAT DAY. This place is a health and safety hazard. Room stinks. Bedding and walls stained and mouldy. Aircon never cleaned and packed with dust. Smoke detector removed, other fire services not serviced for more than 2 years. No light on the back stairs, i nearly fell there in the dark. Emergency light broken.
I considered driving off and sleeping in my car, but there was a fight between residents downstairs and i would have to go past them to open the gate, rather locked myself in and left as soon as i could in the morning.

i did not even book in after i seen the state of the motel with doors missing, paint peeling, filthy surrounds, no body at reception. Looked like a half way house. stayed elsewhere.

This place was (apparently) the place to be a long time ago. Now it is one step off being a ruin. The only good point was that it had rooms for reasonable comparatively cheap rates. The rest of Darwin was booked out at below $300/n.
