It was so quiet and just exactly what I expected for my first time to Tahoe! Breakfast was amazing!

Utterly charming! Each cottage is unique in style & decor. Cottages are enfolded in a forest garden setting, creating the sense of tiny cozy village in the woods. Wonderful breakfast, home baked pastries, friendly staff, & just steps away from the Lake Tahoe shore — who could ask for more?

Super friendly people and you can tell they take pride in making the place great and taking care of the guests.

It was exactly what we wanted, the owner and staff treated us better then family. We will stay here again if we make it back to Tahoe.

Cottages are a unique cluster of Small cabins close to Tahoe city. There is an old tahoe feel about each of the cabins. Located off 89 a couple of miles south of Tahoe City and a short 2 minute walk from the Sunnyside Resort, it’s an ideal location for summer or winter.

This place is a gem! Beautiful location, unique cabins, delicious breakfast. Walkable to the water and a little grocery store. Can't wait to come back in the summer.

We went there for our anniversary. The lady at the desk said we did not have to stay there cause of the fires close by. The air was horrible and lots of places were closed. The cottage served breakfast each day that was outstanding. We will go back when we can just to see the area with out ash and smoke. Great spot great people.

The Cottage Inn is a very cute place. It’s quiet, comfortable, very clean and the decor is adorable. The private beach access is only a short walk. It’s a perfect place to stay. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We unfortunately had to cut our stay short due to all the smoke from the Caldor fire. We will definitely be back!

Overall good experience except that only source of temperature control was based on fireplace operated by a thermostat which was not functional. Not a huge problem comfort-wise but could have added to ambiance for Anniversary stay.

Enjoyed every minute. Great location, and wonderful hosts. Breakfasts were really, really good. The lake is a very short walk, and a market and other food options also a short walk.

The Cottage Inn is absolutely amazing, and it goes beyond the amazing rooms and the free breakfast. I had a reservation for a Thursday night and Friday night, but snow had me trapped in reno for Thursday night upon landing. Getting to Tahoe was a miserable experience, and i asked The Cottage Inn if they would be able to shift my reservation over to Friday night and Saturday night so i could spend the same amount of time there. Totally unexpectedly, they agreed AND upgraded me at no additional cost. I couldnt believe it and theyre generosity totally changed my trip. I'm super grateful for them and how they worked with me and I cant wait to come back again.These people are kind, hospitable, and run a great ship. The rooms are perfect, clean, and well-priced. Cant wait to come back.

The minute we pulled into the property, I was delighted. The grounds are well kept, each cabin so unique. It's a perfect little getaway in the woods. There is private beach access a short walk across a quiet street. The staff is helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and happy hour. A nice, quiet place for couples. Our room, Happy Camper was so cute and cozy, nice attention to detail. We visited in October, after the high summer tourist season.

This is a beautiful group of cottages with beautiful flowers surrounding their property. The beach access has great views with picnic tables, dock, and bbqs available. Bed very comfortable, breakfast good too.

The grounds are very charming and the location is beautiful. Checked in on Friday to stay through Monday and was told the private beach was not available on the weekends. Would have been good to know prior to selecting. Happy hour outside was very nice. Bathroom was very small. Not a bad stay but just disappointing from what the online profile portrayed.

The layout is so lovely and picturesque. Our room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The only "negative" thing I can say is that the room was a little too warm at night, but it wasn't a big deal. It's very centrally located, the complimentary breakfast is delicious, all staff is wonderful.
