The staff were lovely and helpful when parking, checking in and checking out. The room was clean and comfortable. As a historic property, the floors did groan a bit at times, but that makes sense. The shower was a little fidgity to get started, but the tub was incredible! We had so much space. Breakfast was delicious and filling - so nice to have a solid, hot breakfast before a day out. We would definitely visit again.

A really lovely place to stay in Hebden Bridge, right in the heart of the town we stayed in the newer section of the hotel and the room was one of the best and most comfortable hotel rooms we have stayed in in a long time. The breakfast and evening meal were top quality and the staff were friendly and extremely attentive I thoroughly recommend staying in this hotel if you’re visiting Hebden Bridge. 5⭐️

We stsyed to do avtivities with friends. When we arrived there was very little space for parking but your excellent staff encouraged us to park in a place that we didn't think we should use. They assured me that it was okay to do so.The e staff were very helpful throughout our entire visit. Our room was lovely and right next to the river and weir, it was spacious and clean. Although we arrived early they made the room ready for us to usr immediately. Food was extremely good, and as six other friends joined us each evening,they also reallyvenjoyed the food choices. I would definitely stay there again if we are in that area also I will advise friends to do so when looking for accommodation in Hebden Bridge.

The white lion was very professional and the room was excellent the staff polite and very friendly and professional I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

The hotel was absolutely amazing! Located right in the heart of Hebden bridge. The room we had was gorgeous, very spacious but also impeccably clean and a really fancy touch to it. We stayed here for our wedding night and couldn’t be happier with the service. The breakfast was also amazing! It was such a calm and organised morning where the staff greeted us to our assigned table and we were offered a range of different breakfast choices. They catered brilliantly to vegan which was great! Would definitely stay here again, thank you.

I have stayed quite a number of times and often eat lunch there. I have never had an issue with the service. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I enjoyed breakfast too.

RENOVATION WAS A LITTLE INCONVENIENT HAVING TO ROLL CASES AROUND OUTSIDE BUT WE WERE ALLOWED A LATE CHECK IN SO IT OUTWEIGHED THE EXPERIENCE AND IT WASNT RAINING AND THOSE NEW ROOMS ARE SUPER (WATCH YOUR TOES ON THE BED LEGS THOUGH!!)

It was my 4th or 5th stay at the White Lion and I can honestly say that I love this place with one reservation. Some of the furnishing needs updating or at very least a very deep clean.

Charming hotel which has been recently refurbished. We stayed in an excellent room and the breakfast was delicious. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. Will definitely stay there again. Mark and Karina

The White Lion is so quant and in the middle of the town center. The hosts were kind and the beds were low to the floor. They have a cute restaurant in the hotel.

Would stay again

Nice clean friendly hotel in a good location with excellent food. Can't understand why the bar closes so early, about 9.30pm even though it is busy and some customers still enjoying their evening meal. Maybe on a weekend it closes a lot later.

Excellent service from very friendly staff. Our room was spotlessly clean, large and well equipped. The accommodation is centrally located with adequate parking facilities.

A lovely stay as always.

This was the best property so far that my husband I stayed in as we do some hiking on the Pennine Way mixed with local day hikes. The White Lion was simply the best—especially the luxurious bathtub! The staff is top notch. The food is great and you couldn’t ask for a better location.

Every thing was ok

The hotel/pub is in the centre of Hebden bridge. The town has a nightmare parking situation especially at weekends. We were very lucky to be able to get a parking space at the pub. The staff were lovely and friendly throughout our stay. The room was huge. Very clean and nicely decorated. Only niggle was it was incredibly warm and no aircon. We mangaged to open a window which i think was paint stuck. The other window wouldn't budge. The bathroom was huge with a big tub, nice toiletries and fluffy towels. We had a double and a single bed. But the room was so big a super king would easily fit and be better for guests. The breakfast was outstanding 10/10 utterly delicious and best ive ever had in a hotel. We will 100% be booking to stay again.

A stunning old hotel nestled in the heart of the also stunning wee village of Hebden bridge makes for a glorious stay for exploring the area. From check in to check out the staff couldn’t help us enough and the food was amazing including breakfast which set us up for a day of walking. Room was spacious and comfortable and as we had our wee dog with us we had a lovely quiet courtyard room. We will return

When we arrived we’re told our room had a leak so was not available. Offered a much lower standard room so did not stay.
