Good Location. Old and remodelled with hardly any light to read a book ...very dim.
The heater takes a long time to work , still most of the room remains cold.....not recommended in cold season .
The beds are comfortable .

Wonderfull. We used the Hotel as base for our 6 days trip into YOSE. Hotel is old, historic site but cosy and super comfortable. Thank you very much.

This is a super cute throw-back hotel. In general, it was very nice for a one night stay. The only things that were problematic for me were: the bed was not comfortable for me; and the toilet was so short that it hurt my knee getting on and off...think "deep squats". I wanted to love this place, but the bed would probably stop me from staying there again. The main street being torn up with construction, made it difficult to to get to the hotel, but that was not the fault of the hotel.

We stayed here several times about 5 years ago. It was older but well maintained. Never again. Run down, dirty and when we got into bed we both rolled toward the center. Mattress should have been replaced. The walls had chipped paint. There was a big gap under the door to the outside where the door had rotted away. They tried to repair it with a piece of rubber on the threshold but the gap was was big enough for rodents to get in. The entire time there was no staff member on the premises. There was a chalkboard near the door with a name and room number and the key. The outside was not maintained. This place should be a tear down. We had reserved 2 nights but cancelled the second night due to the deteriorated condition. Hotels.com should consider removing this property from their listings.

A cute little place so close to Yosemite NP in a small town full of character with the best coffee shop right there across the parking lot. A great deal!

It was good for the price, however if you are a light sleeper like me it could be an issue. Construction going on right across the street during work hours and other guests coming in late at night and standing out in front of the main area talking, all easily heard since the place is small. If that stuff doesn't bother you than you should be fine

I always enjoy going to this hotel to enjoy some peace and quiet especially to avoid fireworks. This is walking distance to restaurants at downtown Mariposa. There was a forest fire last time I went and the owners were gracious enough to refund some of my booking since I had to leave early.

Very hospitable host/caretaker, her name is Lonia. She’s very friendly, welcoming and gave us lots of info as tourist.

Room was clean and comfy, with zero issues. Check-in was a bit odd with the key left in the door and assignments via chalkboard, but ended up working very well. Staff was fantastic - polite, courteous, and welcoming.

I don't want to give it a bad review because I never want to damange anyone's business but I also think it's important to be honest so people know what they are getting. We arrived late at night and were very exhausted from a long day of travel, had a hard time locating the room in the dark, the room smelled like a smoker was in it before us, the bathroom smelled like sewage, we ran out of hot water every time the 3 of us showered and the lights were very dim.The place needs an update. It was clean and the staff (although I never saw them) did come and empty our garbages every day and gave us clean towels once. If you're not too picky and looking for a reasonably priced place to stay near Yosimite this is your place.

The check in was very strange. We were told to read the Chalk Board and it told us the key was in the door to our room. Several problems with the room. The outside light at our door was not working, so entering the room at night was tricky. The bathroom has several issues: a leaky, dripping shower that could not be stopped, a slow draining sink, and the tank on the toilet is loose (we thought it was going to fall off the bowl). Also, checkout was not explained, so we did what we thought best.

Old building; old, outdated rooms, but clean comfy beds in a quiet area. Room had a leaky faucet. Small and pricey cafe 5 feet away

Nice spot. Thought it was a little strange they left the key on the door when we checked in late. Seems unsafe? Otherwise, it was fine for an night. I’d suggest a rug or something in the room

Older place in town. The AC was lacking but did cool down in the evening.

Since it was a very old motel I expected things to be quaint and not up to standards of a large hotel chain - I was totally fine with that and that was fun. Also it was very close to the walkable town which was great. The check-in was a bit strange, but OK. But we got stuck next to the restaurant (which I previously requested we did not have that room). Very loud starting at 7am! Also, they were doing roadwork outside one day which was hellacious - not the motel's fault other than our room placement. It's also kinda weird there is no staff on site although they were prompt with a text. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

we stayed in a small peaceful apartment for one night. The area seems to be very safe to the point that the staff left the keys on the door. I have a pretty light sleep and the dripping shower bothered me during the night, but apart from this detail, everything went smoothly.

There were some issues with the hot water; otherwise I would have given it all 5 starts.

Wasn't sure where to leave the key upon check out. Never saw any staff. Bed was firm, room nicely decorated.

Yes, vintage, so a bit of nostalgia - if you arrive after hours, the keys are in the door . . .so that also speaks to the safety and friendliness of the neighborhood. Don't mis coffee or your morning drink of choice at the cafe. A charming find.

I wanted to rate this property higher due to the location being right in the middle of Mariposa and the historical factor. The water pressure in the shower was truly amazing, and the bed was super comfortable. The detrimental factors were the bottom of the room door to the outside having a 1-2 inch gap at the bottom which allowed in cold air, some rain, etc. The front shade was a light color and allowed the street light across the street to shine right in across the bed at night. When we arrived, there was a sign with our name on it that said our room number and that the room key was in the door, which it was. I grew up in this town and found it quite safe, but the availability of access to our room was a little off. There is a cute little coffee shop that shares a wall with this room, but you get all of the associated noises. All in all it was okay, but the property is in need of some upgrades and/or maintenance.

Sweet old school motel with hands-off checkin has lots of room and nice furnishings including comfortable bed. Nice outdoor seating. Sink and shower drip.

It was odd but excellent to sumply arrive and go into our room with the key left in the door. Breakfast in the morning was incredibly good with excellent service....not free but reasonable.
