Wonderful stay in the Cromwell suite. All the extra beds were made up when we arrived. The suite was clean, spacious and comfortable. The dining area was lovely, the service great, as was the food. The continental breakfast in room was super with plenty of tasty food. The view, atmosphere and service were excellent. Lovely stay at a lovely property.

The location and views are stunning and there is something very novel about staying at the top of a tower, however the shower was unreliable and and not as clean as it should have been.

Historic and quaint. Not the place to come if you want modern or a night life. You’re 8 miles from town with no easy way to get there. (We took a taxi). But it was beautiful and exactly what we were looking forward to—the English countryside.

Beautiful grounds, great pub garden for a sunny day and incredible sunset views. Free breakfast included is a great touch. The room was really cute and comfy, staff were really polite and helpful, lovely venue.

Wonderful pub with castle and large rooms. The food was excellent and the view at breakfast was superb. The only thing was that the hot water is on demand electric but didn't work very well.

Best way to describe this stay is unique. The suite was spacious, enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Basic continental breakfast (croissant, cereal, fruit yogurt, orange juice) was provided in a little box, and were able to eat in our room. This helped a lot with having one child with ASD. Staff were friendly, best that I have had in a UK hotel so far. Would have loved to spent more time here, so could experience the restaurant.

We stayed in the Cromwell Suite, oh my goodness!!! Absolutely awesome, a huge living room, with comfy sofas and a huge tv. The bedroom was beautiful, such a comfy bed. Bathroom can only be described as brilliant.

We stayed in the Cromwell suite for a birthday trip. The room and property was beautiful. The staff was amazing. So helpful and friendly. The restaurant downstairs served excellent food. Overall the stay was amazing. Would definitely recommend! It was the highlight of our stay in England.

Our family of 5 stayed here for 1 night. My children loved staying in a castle! The staff was very nice, especially the bartender who checked us into our room. Beautiful views of the area from the dining room. We stayed during the weekend so had the pleasure of the full English Breakfast. The suite was updated nicely with the exception of the flooring. And the shower caulking was in dire need of replacement as it was black all around the shower pan. We did appreciate the sofa bed and cot being set up prior to our arrival and my kids loved the free juice in the fridge. The parking could be challenging as they have a small lot and was full when we arrived, although this was during the dinner rush so probably a big part of it. Definitely a unique stay.

Amazing setting and very friendly and welcoming staff. We stayed with our dog and she also enjoyed the stay. We will definitely come back again.

We stayed at the Castle for the 2 nights before my wedding at Hadsham Farm Weddings. We ate dinner in the pub/restaurant, and had continental and cooked breakfast. The food was delicious on all occasions, the staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the rooms were beautiful. We've already recommended the hotel to others to stay and we will definitely be back

Weather not in our favour so could not enjoy garden etc. Room adequate for needs. Nice breakfast in room due to early start and enjoyable evening mral in restaurant

Overall an enjoyable stay; but 1 - check-in time is totally inflexible (we flew in overnight and we’re up for over 24h when we arrived, exhausted) and 2 - the bathroom had an unpleasant smell (a bit like cat urine?). Once checked in though, the room was spacious and comfortable. The grounds unique and historic and the staff was great!

I was in the Sir Jacob Astley suite which was lovely. The only fault I had was even with lights on the bathroom and dressing table area was very dark so I ended up doing my makeup by the front door. I appreciate the darkness may be caused by the renovation work with the scaffolding etc outside the window by the dressing table.

What a lovely quaint castle. The surrounding areas are so lovely to explore, I'm certain we'll be back.
