Lovely helpful staff

Great value apartments and great location only being a mile from keswick. Staff were very helpful.

Turned up and had to prove we had already paid so bad start. Cant really comment any more we had to leave the next norning due to family emergency

Reception was brilliant. Made to really feel welcome. Apartment was ok. Felt a bit tired and needed work. Kitchen was fithly and I had to clean it all. As it was dog friendly, you wouldn't expect 5* but a certain level of cleanliness. Curtains in bedroom fell off the rail. The location was ideal; just a 10 min walk to Keswick and walks from the doorstep. Lovely area with very pleasant people.

The cottage at the back was well tucked away and had no look out over shadowed by the main building. We didn’t know where to book in until a passing receptionist helped. I had no bedding for the downstairs bed as they presumed we were a couple. There was a smelly nappy in the lounge bin from a previous occupant. Some kitchen pots were not clean. Quite a lot of reachable cobwebs in the place. We did have a good holiday though but apartment was expensive for what we got. WiFi terrible and no info about anything touristy or how to work stuff.

We were aware when we booked this place that it wasn’t going to be luxurious, but cheap and cheerful, part of the reason we chose here. It was basic and clean and the chap that showed us round was more than helpful and did state that it was an old building and not to expect too much. It had everything we needed and served its purpose well. Would happily stay there again.

Wonderful old building. Interesting history. Beyond amazing garden that is a wetland. Amazing views down Borrowdale. Pheasants and amazing bird life. Very sunny garden where you can watch suns gradually leaving mountains. We even got snow on the tops in April. Lovely bar and bar food, leading onto garden. Footpath thro fields of sheep into Keswick.

Derwent Manor Apartments are perfect for getting out on walks with a dog. All the pubs in Keswick seem to be dog friendly but for evening meals the apartments are more convenient than eating out. Lake walk close by and Keswick easily accessible.

The property is really well located, both for access into Keswick and for walking in the Lakes. The apartment was really well sized and the kitchen, bedding, towels etc. were very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and more in terms of appliances and utensils; something which can be a rarity in holiday lets. On the less positive side - yes, the apartment was very dated. We didn’t see the decor as a problem, especially as it is dog friendly. However, there’s clearly work to be done. The boiler was in a cupboard in the bedroom and was noisy. For all the work it was doing the heating never up above the mid teens (despite the thermostat being set and the radiator thermostats being checked). The hot water was also very intermittent. It rained heavily and some water came in through the wall in the lounge. This looked to be an issue with the guttering. The hotel look to be updating the property, and took my maintenance related comments on board, so hopefully they will be resolved. The price, location and size of the apartment, plus all the amenities, made it a good value for money stay. We will be back and hope to see a few more improvements next time.

We stayed here withnour two dogs. Great location. Property was dated; tired decor and grubby furniture. Kitchen was adequate but again, needed a lot if TLC. Cupboards not fitting, seal on oven was broken. Laminate to cupboards was missing. Extractor hood greasy and grubby. Tap leaked. Lots of problems but could be easily rectified. Ideal for doggy friendly holiday. Customer service was exceptional.

Initially the apartment offered was not suitable, a double not a twin, they gave us another apartment which was a twin and more spacious . The heating was not on so the gave us radiators for the night and sorted it the next day. Our apartment was fine but the entrance to the apartment a bit tired looking , new carpets but the paintwork a bit scruffy,

Lovely apartment cleanliness 10 out of 10.Kitchen everthing you needed more than we have at home could not fault anything would definitely stay there again and recommend this to anyone. Great for families.

Excellent location. Staff clearly very busy / understaffed, this impacted upon service. Communication was brief and cleanliness not great either. Shower did not maintain temperature. Nearby building works noisy. Birds nesting in roof of apartment also noisy

The apartment was dated and old fashioned the carpet and furniture were dirty there was also a Musty smell to the living room furniture.The hallway was old and dirty The bathroom had black marks On the shower screen the bedroom window had bird waste all over it .

Property was in a bit of of a tired state . Bathroom/toilet did smell a bit when door closed not sure if drain issues . Food in restaurant not very good . Large portions but pretty tastless and bland . Wine recommended by waiter was dreadful and we couldnt drink it but they exchanged it for us

It was a memorable stay for the family. the staffs are really friendly and informative, all precautionary measures (social distancing and all that) were observed. Will book again in the futre.

Really nice apartment for a couple of days, great access to walks in the lake district. Could do with a bit of modernisation. Very close to the Lakes Distillery which is worth a visit
