Great service, the pool was kinda chilly ( but I like it warm). Clean rooms, clean building. The shower head needs to be drilled out to get a great shower.

Kind of a joke, the beds were fulls when they were advertised as queens. The hot tub was set at 95°, which doesnt qualify as a hot tub and should not be advertised as such. The staff claimed they didnt have the ability to adjust it. In fact the staffs ability to assist in any way was very underwhelming. On our second night there, we lost half of the tv channels and were told by the staff there was nothing they could do about it. The breakfast was by far the only acceptable amenity at this hotel. All in all, this was a highly overpriced joke of a hotel. 3/10.. will not be staying here again.

Comfortable beds, clean bathroom, nice tub shower. Hotel is about a block from busy train tracks, we could hear the train horns occasionally throughout the night. We are pretty sound sleepers, so it didn’t bother us much. Breakfast was equal to other Holiday Inn Express, not bad and not great.

The pool was clean and comfortable. They kept the pool towels full. The hot tub was a it should be. Breakfast was always full and hot, and included pancakes, biscuits, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, ham, sausage links, bacon (on one of the two days we stayed), pastries, juice, milk, yogurt, fresh fruit, and hot or dry cereal. Housekeeping did a great job keeping things clean. Great place for kids and adults. Safe area and easy parking.

Brittney was very sweet, offering us recommendations and greeting us every time we saw her in the lobby. The young man who helped with our noisy neighbors at night handled it quickly and effectively. We appreciate their excellent customer service. The hotel is clean, has free parking, and is located in a convenient and quiet neighborhood. Our only complaint was that the carpet felt sticky.

This newer facility is comfy, even if it's full. The free parking and wifi are great, breakfast has hot and cold options, desk people are friendly/helpful.
Downtown Des Moines has mostly app-pay parking; during April multi-tornados, all was well-safe. Bike paths everywhere, walking paths nearby, East Village is charming, Science Center/ballpark walkable. Neighborhood is newer with lots of younger denizens.

When we arrived they said the pool and hot tub were closed, that's way we came to swim. They checked and it opened a in little bit. The check in lady was not friendly at all. The rooms are fine, but beds are very firm, ice machine didnt work on our floor, breakfast was good lots to chose from.
