A wonderful weekend away, a charming country pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent and the service at is first class, he staff are friendly and attentive, and always happy to help. A great place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable break in the Peak District..

Wonderful old hotel . The only surprise was the steps to get into the comfortable bed! Lovely food. Also free electric charging for my car!

The Devonshire Arms at Pilsley was a delightful place to stay. The room was spacious, warm and well equipped. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Cleanliness excellent and food delicious. Nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly go again.

Absolutely wonderful. Comfortable accommodation and pub, which offerred a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. The food was very good, and the staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Social distancing was present in the bar and dining room, with hand gel available both by the pub door and before you enter the bar area. All tables were throughly cleaned, both inside and in the beer garden, when ever tables were vacated. Scenery around the Inn and accommodation was stunning.

My only problem was WiFi that kept going out. Guess service doesn’t connect on those old thick walls. ER. Regardless, inn is lovely & wonderful

Quintessential Inn, beautiful scenery overlooking the Peak National district. Quiet, safe, staff very engaging. Dinner reservations suggested. Limited menu but food was good & unique.

I love this hotel!!!!! Staff are so friendly. The restaurant is great. The room is beyond our expectations. Though it’s a little bit small but it has everything. They even provide cookies and cute teabags in the room. Location is little bit inconvenient but the bus stop is only 3 minute walk away. As long as you pay attention to the bus time table, you’ll be fine. It’s also close to chatsworth house. Love this place.

This is a lovely hotel in a perfect location. Clean, beautifully decorated, good pub/restaurant. The staff is terrific. Only slight minuses - room was fairly small, and there is no comfortable common room for guests to spend time in, just the restaurant. Nevertheless, I have given it five stars because it is such a great place to stay.

wonderful service and ambiance in the beautiful Peak District. Quaint hamlet - an unbeatable experience! Several complimentary items come with room including baked goods from Chatsworth Farm Shop. Good food and free breakfast w/room. Five minutes drive from Chatsworth House.

Great pub in the hotel. The food was wonderful. Rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. Chatsworth Manor was close by to visit in the Peak District. Just a great place to visit.

Wonderful night - location, ambience,service - all excellent

It was so beautifully restored and the room was so very comfortable with the exception of no blackout shades which made the room too light at 5:00 in the morning. With that exception, it was great.
