We stayed in this hotel, but couldn't sleep at all. There is no airconditioning and it was a hot day. The room temp was over 35 degrees and it was impossible to sleep.
The hotel is on a busy road. The noise isolation is perfect since you don't hear anything. But opening the window, made it sound like sleeping on the highway itself. So it was either being terrible hot, or crazy noisy. Would definitely not recommend this hotel in the summer.

I am always inclined yo book corporate, branded hotels e.g. Mercure or Novotel, so when I booked this hotel (with Guesthouse in the name) I was a little apprehensive. HOWEVER, I had nothing to worry about; after a pleasant welcome, the gentleman was extremely helpful and informative about the area, best places to eat etc. The room was very spacious, it was clean and had everything we needed.
I couldnt have been more wrong with my initial reservations.

Europe has been having a lot of heat this summer. As with a lot of homes and buildings in Europe there isn't much air conditioning. The hotel was very new so not having at least a fan surprised us. The rooms had an air circulator which DID NOT help at all. Any other times, that were not hot, I'm sure the place would be great. We could not sleep at all. The rooms are very modern and tastefully decorated. No tissues or face clothes, which is also a European thing. The floors were heated if you wanted them so, which made no sense to have spent money on that.
It was a good experience otherwise. Security system (key cards) worked VERY well. There was body wash/shampoo.

What a great find! We booked this hotel as a last minute change and what an excellent decision that turned out to be! Superbly comfortable beds, large and spotless room with everything you could need. Lovely staff. So helpful. Excellent restaurant right next door which is part of the hotel and right on the lake. Couldnt recommend it more highly.
