Easy and breezy checkin, outstanding front desk services, outstanding housekeeping and room preparation, large and spacious rooms, and the best of all? THE FANTASTIC LOCATION! This weekend stay was excellent! Could not ask for a better location! The room was comfy and very clean and the hotel personnel on point! EXCELLENT and I highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Silver Gull. Location is absolutely perfect. The balcony had an ocean view and you are just steps from the beach. The coffee is lobby was delicious! Parking is free and right under the hotel which was really nice. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. I love the beach access from the hotel, esp when you have little ones.. it makes it way easier to enjoy the beach. Cant beat the sunrises and sunsets right from the hotel - Thanks for a great stay Silver Gull!

We have stayed here before and it’s very convenient if you’d like Johnny Mercer Pier and good fishing. Nice large room and friendly assistant.

Great little find right on the beach. Staff was amazing…let us check in early and stay a bit later. Private walkway right to the beach. Minutes from shopping and restaurants.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Silver Gull Motel. The staff was extremely kind, easygoing, and accommodating. You can't beat the price and location. We will definitely be back!

Overall, the unit was dated. The kitchenette appliances seemed at least 10 yrs old and had rust on them. The room itself was a decent size and could have fit a sofa for added confort. The bathroom seemed like they were trying to update to make it more modern but use of cheap printed ceramic tiles made it look cheap. Mold stains in the grout lines made it feel dirty. The proximity to the pier and the pillows on the bed were the highlights. 2nd floor hallway reeked of fish 24/7. Also, they only have 26 parking spots for 32 rooms. So when booked to capacity, 4 patrons have to riskbtickets on the street. Family had been going here off and on for 50 yrs, not worth $250 a night so we will most likely not be going back. You are paying for proximity tonthe pier. Caters to fisherman. Owner could update and make the place great again worthy of $250 a night, even $350-400 a night.

Check in was the worst part of the visit. The room was dirty but met the bad expectations after the awful check in. First impression was a very rude staff and then absent throughout the visit. I will not stay again. Made the first trip to NC beaches a bad experience. Sucks!!

Very good family friendly place to stay. It's right on the beach with a beautiful view and has covered parking which is also nice so you don't have to pay to park on the street. Housekeeping daily brings you clean towels and takes the trash. Will clean up your room as well if you want. Super awesome location. Would definitely come back. Great for families that want to fish as well because it's right beside the fishing pier. Not a roach in sight. Very clean room and bathroom.

The place was good, only there were insects around the balcony, I informed to the service personal and they immediately clean the issue.

great spot - obviously no pool or much in the way of amenities but its right on the beach and has its own parking. Very clean and friendly staff. If you come, pulling a large pickup into the ramp can be a pain but otherwise it was a reasonable price to be right on the beach at peak season. Pier is right there as well.

We loved the location of the Silver Gull and those views! Every balcony has an oceanfront view and it’s very quiet. Walkable to the loop and other restaurants. The beach is gorgeous and the water was very warm which made our stay even better. We stood in the water and talked for hours! We will be back!!

We liked this property, parking was a little crazy but it was under shelter which was nice. Nice & quiet, beds was comfy!! Over all, we enjoyed our stay!!

This is right on the beach with, our balcony looked to the street with a slight view of the ocean but there was a deck at the end of our hallway on second floor where we sat to hear ocean waves at night and the sunrise in the morning.

Wonderful location right on the beach. Property is very clean. Adjacent to it is a public parking and beach access area. So, it is very busy right outside the window and often noisy. Facility is very old. Refrigerator did not work hardly at all and had obvious rust over most of the outside.

John was super helpful the night we checked in. He called to check on us as we traveled! Felt like the 80s again with that personal touch.

Loved having a little balcony this is a busy busy public beach area so be aware. Pleasantly quiet at night though.
Black mold in the bathroom that could easily have been cleaned prior to our stay.

The staff was very friendly and the room was dated, but clean. It was noisey during the night and with the staff not on site , we just put up with it.

The silver gull has been a Wrightsville beach staple for decades. My mother stayed here many times while I was in college so I returned with my family just for the weekend. The room was comfortable and clean and we had a great stay.

Rooms were clean and location was great. It is an older hotel so some equipment dated. Everything however worked as intended. Would stay again just for location.
