Very Inexpensive compared to surrounding hotels, but this is more like a hostel than a hotel. Every possible cost savings is evident, but it gets the job done. Just don’t expect it to compare to more expensive luxurious accommodations. The rooms were clean, safe, and their surrounding area was good. Beds were comfortable. Very utilitarian, but there isn’t a cheaper way to sleep three people in the area that I could find.

Quiet and respectful staff

Hotel was adequate for a one nights stay, good service, clean room, great parking garage. However, bed with a bunk bed on top not great.

Rooms were too small and the bathroom and toilet were not appropriate.

We did not venture out intonthe rain to much.. room was small for 2 people.. and there was no privacy for shower as it and toilet was pretty much in the room with ya.. I would not stay here again.. breakfast was decent tho.. and was cheapest around..

Average Ibis hotel. Bed very comfy. Take #9 tram from trains to hotel. Good value for cost. Would stay again.

Hotel was reliably Ibis Budget. Clean,sparse, short ride from center, healthy cold breakfast with great coffee, friendly helpful multilingual staff.

Hotel overall was good. Staff friendly, building modern. Plugs were very limited in the rooms and there were no safes. Toilet door had gaps at top & bottom (noisy). Went to do work on first floor breakfast space. They were unable to turn down the loud music because connected to lobby sound system. Location: Not close to city center but transit is so amazing in Bern it doesn't matter. Location was a non-issue.

Well located next to tram stop- 10-12 minutes to old town. Room basic but very clean. Staff very helpful. More power points would have been welcome.

We’ve enjoyed our stay. I was afraid that there was no A/C after reading one of the reviews saying a/c would be nice but there is actually a/c in the building but it is centrally managed and you can’t adjust it in your room. Room temperature was very good and pleasant so no complaints.Room was very clean and hotel was quiet.

It was nice and well connected

Nice hotel, well-run. Bern public transporation pass included with hotel is a plus.

Perfect location for Stadion Wankdorf and the Expo centre

Everything is good

The room is small, but it contains everything you need. The location: it is so far from the city center, but there is a tram stop at the hotel. The breakfast was so poor.

This was part of a multi stop trip. We also stayed at the Ibis in Kriens. We paid almost the same for both hotels, however the hotel in Kriens was much much nicer than this one. The nice thing about this stop was that we could get free transport into Bern.

Overall good for budget and cleanliness. Only downside was that the electric outlets/plugs were too far from the beds.

We had to upgrade as a couple from the budget 3 bed room ( queen and a stupid bunk) to a standard 2 bed in the standard Ibis floors. We got ripped off to upgrade Air con was poor. Distance to centre is not walkable up and down hills for 45 mins. Only option is using the tram to the centre

Location of the hotel is good. Alps view from the hotel is amazing. But the hotel itself was not comparable to ibis standard. The room was very small, toliet room door was a like a normal wooden sheet without any latch or hook to close, bathroom didnt have any place for towel holding. Room service knocked door at 8am for service. In all, we didnt feel we stayed at ibis. It was more like small budget room for a tourist. Not worth the price for me.

The room felt like a modern day prison cell. We booked a room for 3 grown up adults. Our 28 yr old daughter had to sleep in a bunk bed, which was on top of the full bed, so while getting up or laying down couple of times I banged my head. The misconception that the 3rd person might be a child is really a big problem that neither Expedia or Hotels work on the specification of the customers needs. Though the Hotel staff were very nice but they could not accommodate us, even though the Hotel and not Expedia assigned the Hotel room to us. We took pictures to show the size of the room. There was no phone in the room to call reception. We were given only 3 medium size towels. The window could only open 5/6 inches. The room was hot and uncomfortable but later we had to ask for a fan and were provided a small mini portable one so thank you for that, at least we could rest.
