My suite was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a big balcony. The bathroom was kinda small and very basic. There's no air conditioning at this property; they provide fans, though. The room is advertised as having a mountain view, which is sort of true. I would have preferred a room with views over the castle and fortress, which I could glimpse from the end of the balcony. All in all, it's good value for money. Nothing spectacular, just adequate. The only real con: There's no peephole and no dead bolt on the door, just a regular lock. As a woman traveling alone, this didn't make me feel very safe.

Nice little hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Nice staff. A good restaurant on site and a decent breakfast. Parking available. Easy to walk into center of Sion to see all of the historic sites.

Big junior suite, very comfortable for family of four at a good price for the region. Staff set up pack and play for toddler. Room had lovely balcony overlooking the mountains. Staff was very helpful. Good breakfast. Small playground outside breakfast room for kids to play while parents have coffee. Good restaurants close by. Would stay again.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was substantial. I would happily stay here again. The property is a little dated.

They had missed to make the converible sofa bed although the booking clearly marked that we were 2 adults and 2 kids so we had to call reception and ask for that to be done. The coffee machine wasn't clean and the small milk containers to use for the coffe were past due date. All in all, not a great experience.

The staff were all nice and friendly, the location is nice, walking distance to most everything .My main objection is the bathrooms. They are very small and poorly lit. The shower is about the size of a telephone booth, and scant space for holding bathroom essentials. The cafe is nice, excellent coffee for breakfast, though the buffet seemed to shut down very early in the morning. All in all, I would go back if I ever return to Sion.

The location is great. I can see the basilica from my room and it was just 5 mins walking to the city center.

Room was nice and clean. Great view of Basilica. Staff was very friendly and made nice recommendations for activities and sightseeing. Breakfast was very weak.

My husband had a small operation in a nearby hospital and we stayed the night before going home. They couldnt do enough for us, really lovely friendly service. Great staff and a nice place to stay.

We came for an active holiday (cycling and hiking) and stayed at Hotel Castel for several days and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and there was a safe space to store our bikes. The location is well situated, right beside the river and well within walking distance of the train station. The room was very clean and comfortable.

I had a wonderful stay in the hotel. The staff were friendly and were helpful when in need of assistance. The rooms are comfortable and the a/c is nice. The restaurant is fabulous with a wide ranging menu of food and wine. It is a perfect location for adventures to the Monte Grappa and surrounding countryside. There are also camping sites available. I really recommend this hotel.

When we arrived at around 6pm on a Sat eve, we were told that there would be no food available that evening (no reason was given for this.). The lift was not working during our stay. Breakfast was basic and guests had to ask if there were more croissants. Room was clean and comfortable. Just not a very welcoming stay.
