We have stayed here previously. It has gone downhill for sure since last year, at least the room we were in.
Corners of the bathroom were filthy. Black mold on the ceiling of the shower. A really loud bathroom fan that didn’t even work.
Within an hour of us checking in the front desk lady came barging in with her key, obviously the wrong room, apologized and left.
The next morning housekeeping was outside our room pounding on the freezer of a mini fridge, trying to defrost it. literally smashing the ice out of it. Then housekeeping came pounding on our door like the FBI and we told them no thank you for service. I was plenty loud, yet housekeeping tried to open the door and come in, but this time we had the latch on it.
Our freezer was also encased in ice, and it offered very little usable space in the freezer compartment.
Both mornings that we were there, it was 17°and 19°, there were no blankets. Our beds had a sheet and a thin bedspread.
Because they have the typical heater/AC unit through the wall, a lot of cold air gets in.
I’m not sure what the heck’s going on but somebody there needs to pay attention.

This is our favorite place to stay in Moab—smart + thoughtful facilities, newly remodeled, nicely priced. We love staying here!

This trip started out as a stay through Hilton but was cancelled because as always they are rude and do not care about their guests.
That being said Expedition was AMAZING! The front desk was extremely helpful with recommendations for food and sites. Everyone was so friendly. And yes they have a TRUE continental breakfast.

I loved this place! It was super clean and comfortable and in a good and walkable area. Especially nice if you have a group and or pet! The owners/people working are really nice and super genuine.

Comfortable beds and spacious room. Kids loved the arcade and the breakfast had many options including waffles and breakfast sandwiches.
Pool was over-chlorinated and very strong! Toilet was way outdated (5 gallon tank?) and the bathroom could use an overhaul as it had leaky spigot and staining.

This an 70s motel that has for the most part has been remodeled. The bathrooms are still retro avocado green but the room itself is upgraded to modern design and comfort. I have stayed multiple times. It is nice when traveling with friends they have rooms with three queens so nobody has to share a bed. The pool would be a lot of fun for kids it has a waterslide. The property is with in walking distance to restaurants and shops and about 10 mins from Arches National park entrance. For a budget it’s fine and comfortable.

Check in was smooth and the woman checking us in was very knowledgeable about the area and upcoming events. The room was clean and beautiful. Huge rooms. My kids absolutely loved the arcade room and it was nice for them to have something to do while mom and dad recovered from a day of hiking.

Great location. Comfy room of good size. Fun pool. Laundry facilities handy. Very clean. Breakfast had a good selection but far too much single use plastic and other disposable items.

Our first time in an 8 person in a room with only 1 bathroom. Not convenient at all especially with the only 1bathroom. Clean facility though.

We had a room overlooking the street(I had requested a corner room and it was) and racing vehicles could be heard. Glass windows were double pained and helped to an extent. Otherwise, all was excellent.

Great place to stay to visit Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The kids loved the pool and games room. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful with info about the town and the parks.

Reto decorations throughout. Nice pool,didnt use. Only problem is we reserved a main floor room and ended up climbing outside stairs. Then the s hower had no hot water. Dink did not the shower. Not what you need in the morning little upset about that. Other wise nice place looks can be deceiving.

Clean and convenient. Tub drained slowly and some of the trim around the tub and door had water damage. Those concerns were minor issues and we would stay again.

This is my second time staying here and I will come back again. The rooms are a good size and clean. The staff, especially the young woman at the front desk (the managers daughter) is wonderful and always makes our stay pleasant and helps with anything we need. The pool is awesome for the kids and the water slide is a big hit! The complimentary breakfast is really nice. There's a game room with free OG video games and a ping pong table. Board games available in the lobby. This is a retro motel, not a fancy modern hotel, but this is exactly what I look for when I travel, I love retro! It's also located in town so you can walk to various shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

My family stayed here as part of a multi-city, multi-state trip through several national parks. Of all the places we stayed, this hotel had the best pool and the best breakfast (both options and facilities). The only sour notes were the floors would turn our feet black if we were barefoot and there was a small leak in the shower, which was quickly fixed when we asked. We would stay here again without hesitation.

The kids had fun in the pool and played some ping-pong and arcade games. We think the room could've been a little cleaner. It's an old motel but has had some updates. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were not. It was the cheapest stay on our family vacation so it was ok for the money. We didn't get to eat breakfast as we left before 6 am to go to Arches.

We absolutely love staying here! The pool could use a good cleaning though, there is mold growin around the top of the pool tiles and slide.
Some of the staff were very helpful, while a couple were obviously not happy being at work and were rude.
All that being said, we still LOVE to stay here, and will continue to stay here.

As a family of five, we were glad to find a room with three queen beds. The service was excellent. And the Expedition Lodge is close to downtown Main Street and only ten minutes from Arches.

I hate to leave a poor review. Service was great and friendly but the room didnt seem clean. It had a bad smell. Like aloppy wet pool clothes had been sitting around for a while. The bathroom smelled like pee. I got the feeling it wasnt super clean in there.

It was so cute and unique! My family enjoyed the mix between classic, retro and modern esthetics. It was also super clean. My family also enjoyed the classic video games and ping pong table after the great breakfast. The pool was great as well! Overall, we loved our stay! 👍

We absolutely loved the Expedition Lodge! We have a larger family so the bedroom with 2 queen bunks was an amazing idea and worked perfectly for us, plus the many shelves for storage and retro fridge, microwave and decor were an added plus! The breakfast offerings and large 1950s type dining area far exceeded our expectations and everything was super clean. Huge thank you for a fun and unique, affordable, clean and super convenient stay in Moab!

Funky retro interior. Pool is a plus and great location walking distance to all shops and restaurants on main street. The person at the desk couldn’t recommend one place to eat which was surprising but i had a travel book that i was using anyway. Convenient breakfast included. The air conditioner was very loud but i was tired and the bed was comfy so i slept well
