It is a quaint place. The rooms are updated and the bathrooms are modern. The restaurant was exceptional!!!

Beautiful setting!!! Clean room. Nice size room with love seat, another chair and the great deck with Adirondack seats on the 2nd floor. Comfortable mattress. Great band music on a Thursday night. Friendly staff. Too cold to use the pool for us. It’s not heated.
Only complaint is we would have loved a weekday breakfast buffet. Continent breakfast choice of a muffin (little dry) and a yogurt parfait were not enough choices.
So remember to bring your own food for breakfast or head out.
Also no microwave in room but there was one in the vending room.
I do, however, highly recommend this place.
Very relaxing.

Plum Point was so peaceful and comfortable. I was really impressed with the high quality upgrades in our room. I recommend this lodge for people who want a quiet getaway and a convenient location to the west shore wineries and Watkins Glen.

Beautiful lakefront property. Our suite was beautiful and faced the lake.

Very pleasant surprise. Quiet, clean, nicely updated. Dinner was delicious yet pricey, but what isn’t today. Beautiful scenery. Walking outside to get my morning coffee was the only downside.

Fun experience. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a pleasant surprise, roomier than expected. The soap was fabulous looked locally sourced. The only drawback was it was extremely hot until we were able to get ceiling fan working (breaker was tripped) and even then it was warmer than I like. It would be fabulous in the spring and fall months. it is most pleasant to sit on the dock across the street.
Take note the on site restaurant is not open Tuesday and Wednesday.

This property was amazing, i stayed for two nights and had a wonderful stay. It was so quiet and peaceful, check in was super easy and convenient, the view of the lake was absolutely unreal!!
Rooms were comfortable and clean, the pool was great, and i loved the fire pits!
Will definitely be back.

Truly Beautiful and amazing place. We loved our two night stay and would come back again and again. Loved the food from Sapalta and breakfast buffet was stellar (for purchase). The team of people working were lovely and made us feel very welcome!!! We were one of the last people to stay as it was the end of season but they never made us feel that way!

The room was dirty. Our room was only cleaned once in the entire 7 days we were there. We repeatedly asked for our room to be cleaned to no avail. Restaurant food was horrible. After the first night, we had to drive 20 minutes to find somewhere to eat. This is the worst place I ever stayed at. We should get a refund.

Beautiful view right on Seneca Lake! Quaint and serene, just what I needed!

Great setting right on the lake, a view across to the eastern shore. Fire pit for evening gatherings. Nice restaurant, if you wanted to stay in for the night.

The photo they use for the property suggests a great lodge. That building is the very over-priced restaurant. The rooms are small in a motel-type building. We had reserved a king bed, lake view room with a balcony many months in advance. When we arrived, we were assigned to a room on the first floor with a patio. We said we had booked a room with a balcony. We were told there were none available and a patio was the same. When we got to our room, we found a very small room with no closet and only one chair. We went back to reception to ask for another room and told that without moving more than once, we could not get something else. We were told they would bring us another chair the next day. The chair never came. The next day we asked if we could leave after two nights and get a refund for the last three nights. The cancellation policy suggests that only the first night would be charged if you canceled. The front desk clerk said it would not be refunded but she would ask the owner and call us back. We did not get a call back and there was never an attempt to upgrade the room or in some way make us feel better about our disappointment in our room. In fact, we were told that the balcony that was clearly listed on our itinerary was only a request, and since we booked through a third party, was not a guarantee. We stayed for all five days in a room that was smaller than any rooms we have had in NYC, had to grab a hard chair from the restaurant patio. Not close to any restaurants.

Very nice. Comfortable. Nice big bathroom. Very clean

Not 5 stars because of a couple of things they "say" they do but didnt. Also, $15 for a standard hotel free continental breakfast and over priced meals at the restaurant. so 4 stars over all

We stayed in a yurt, it was fun but could easily hear the neighbors. Not enough light. Yurt pretty dark. Bed comfy, heater great. No coffee machine or microwave.

Very Friendly and hospitable beautiful place on the lake found folks coming here come back again and again something to be said about that!

We really loved staying here. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Room and yurt were clean and decor was great. Dining options- breakfast buffet with local farm to table options. No lunch options on site. Dinner menu appeared well thought out and I bet it was quite tasty. For those with a simple pallet or children, probably not the best place to eat. Plum Point Lodge really reminds me of a Dirty Dancing resort. What’s missing is the activities. For the price of the stay, I would have loved to have seen simple activities like Salsa or yard games on the front lawn.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying here for our anniversary getaway. The room was small but very nicely updated and comfortable. The balcony had gorgeous views of the lake. Our dinner at the restaurant, Sapalta, was absolutely delicious. The location was perfect for hitting all the local wineries and breweries and visiting Watkins Glen. We'll definitely be back!

Great lakeside hotel, clean comfortable room. Excellent restaurant for dinner! Easy 30 minute drive to racetrack.

We really enjoyed this property. The location was perfect, it was quiet and peaceful but just a short drive to the more crowded area in Watkins Glen. The lake view is beautiful, you can come back from enjoying a day in nature and relax with a nice fire by the lakeside. The property itself was really cute. Our only complaints were that the AC in our room was really really loud, and the floor in the room could’ve been cleaner. Oh and there is no coffee in the room. You have to go to the restaurant after 7 to get coffee, so if you wake early and want coffee, that’s not gonna happen. The location and overall vibe totally outweighed these minor issues. We would absolutely stay again and recommend it to friends and family.

The staff at the restaurant were very attentive and personable. The portions were small and expensive, but it was nice to see that attention was paid to preparation and presentation. Very tough to get a good quality meal most places so they scored on this one. The facilities were nice and they had a fire pit that supplied the wood so another score. The pool was closed and no one, including the GM, seemed to know why or when it was closed. When asked I was told it was open so I had the GM go with me to the pool and the pump was obviously broken and the bottom of the pool was full of leaves and dirt. No apology or indication that this was a concern. He insisted that the chlorine levels were fine but refused to acknowledge the other issues. This could be a very nice place if someone cared about the details or did some training on how things work here, like the TV remotes or small things which make a stay pleasant and relaxing. The place is somewhere that I want to like and if someone cared enough to pay attention to some details it would become a repeat destination. Most weekends this place is booked solid but this won't go on forever if they doesn't address the small things. While there I spoke to many who have been coming there for years. They said that things have been going downhill the past four or five years. (covid should not prevent maintenance) They said they are given the option to book the next year when they check out and many of them have said they may not

My husband and I have stayed at this property for the past three years. We have not had any issues. It’s a beautiful hotel right on the lake. They have fires going every night. They just added a breakfast buffet which is extra, we did not try due to us bringing our own breakfast items. It’s located in the middle of the lake, so easy to get to the wineries.
The only thing we asked them to refill our shampoo and soap dispensers(which the products are wonderful!!!) when we came back it still wasn’t done. They said the would put it on top of the list tomorrow for housekeeping. The next day after visiting the wineries we checked and it was done. A very small detail.

I will definitely stay here again!! A quiet, relaxed beautiful location right in the water and close to Watkins Glen. We loved sitting on the dock watching the sunrise and under the stars at night. My daughters enjoyed the pool. We didnt want to leave!

Older motel right on the water, has dock and pool. Recently renovated rooms. Great location for touring local wineries.

Close to seneca lake shore. Stayed in yurt which needed to be cleaned better under bed, ceiling, and walls.

Beautiful lake front hotel. Clean, rooms, well kept grounds. Located in a residential area so very quiet.

We checking in late so the keypad entry was great. We did have to kill a few bugs upon arrival, and the freezer had mold in it as well as the shampoo and condition and body wash being old and used/leftovers.
We asked for fresh sheets since we stayed for 3 nights and we’re told “the cleaning girl already did so many rooms this AM and doesn’t have time” which we thought was a bit rude and unfortunate since we were there 3 nights and had to use the same bedding.
The pricing for breakfast is way overpriced - it was $19pp and it was undercooked eggs, hard stale potatoes and yogurt that was sitting out. My husband didn’t even get any pancakes and when he Asked they just said they are out.
For the price of room per night i think this should be run with more hotel service, otherwise the pricing should be lowered.

Plum Point has a beautiful vista, looking out onto Seneca Lake. Its location can't be beat.
However...
Our bed was small and saggy. Our pillows were flat and lumpy. Our bedspread was old and scary. Our sheets were cheap and ill fitted. Our room was musty and uncomfortable.
It needs upgrading.

My wife and I stayed in a yurt. It was clean, convenient to everything at the resort, and well-maintained. We will be returning.

The quietude and views. The restaurant was wonderful and they served the best wines in the area.
We stayed in one of the yurts and it was great fun.
Hopefully we can return in the fall

My husband and I have been staying at Plum Point over 10 years, even back when it was Rainbow Cove. Although the renovations are very nice, it seems the rooms and grounds are not kept like they used to.
