Such a beautiful hotel, the rooms were extremely stylish with luxurious soaps and the fluffiest towels! The parking is a little weird, this parking info would have been handy to know before arrival. It is well situated for the Louvre Lens, a must see. A lovely boulangerie is a moment away, and the hotel restaurant is very good, and super dog friendly. There is a park nearby to walk your dog, but the space in the room is tight if your dog is not a miniature type. Also, access to a bin for their mess would be super handy. The main town is a little walk away. We had an issue with air con in our room, which was a shame, I’d be very happy to stay there again and recommend to others.

I thoroughly enjoyed these aspects of my stay. However, I must address a weak point that detracted from the overall experience - the breakfast. Considering the hotel's name, "Esprit de France," which evokes the culinary excellence for which France is renowned worldwide, the breakfast experience fell short of expectations. Given the caliber of the hotel, I had anticipated a truly exceptional breakfast, reflecting the culinary heritage of France. Unfortunately, the breakfast offered did not live up to this standard. I believe that a hotel of this stature should strive to provide a breakfast experience that matches its name and reputation. By enhancing the breakfast offerings to showcase the exquisite flavors and delights of French cuisine, the Hotel Louvre Lens - Esprit de France would undoubtedly elevate the overall guest experience. I hope my feedback serves as constructive input, inspiring the hotel to refine and improve its breakfast offerings to align with its esteemed name. Fantastic boutique hotel in a fascinating area of Lens centred on the regeneration of a mining area and village. Great facilities (including free pool table and table football, very good bistro with excellent wine list and reasonably priced, and very clean and comfortable. Staff could not have been more helpful and our dogs were welcome (with lots of walking space for them. Thoroughly recommended

Hotel was clean, modern. Staff spoke good English and were pleasant and helpful. We had a meal in the evening, which we had to pre-book, not a great choice on the menu, but what we had was very good. We only stayed one night before returning to the UK and this was a convenient stopping point. Room was clean although quite small, bathroom had a reasonable shower, and the toilet was separate. small although clean. There was a safe, coffee machine and bottle of water but no fridge.

Accommodation, decor and service was excellent but the food was pretty terrible. The steak we had was full of gristle and fat and inedible. The desert was meant to be a creme caramel but in reality had the consistency of the cheesecake with too many spices. We appreciated the effort but the food was too try hard.

Really lovely clean stylish hotel, free parking, staff very helpful especially Vikash, We had the 8euro breakfast which was more than adequate with Juice, hot drink, breads and croissants. We had 2 triple rooms and triple room is perfect for 2 adults and a pre teen child. We would definitely book again or book another Hotel within the group. Right opposite the Louvre Lens which is well worth a visit, We popped back to the Hotel for Lunch but it was very busy which led to a slightly erratic service.

The hotel opened in November 2018 and was originally a row of miner’s houses. Modern with lots of exposed brick. The rooms are beautifully appointed, great bed, rain shower head and lots of little extras. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. Lots of choices for breakfast and dinner was great as well. Good food and presented beautifully. The restaurant has a huge patio; perfect for having a drink or dining outdoors on a warm day which it was. It was Easter so on Sunday they hid Easter candy in the shrubbery around the patio which I thought was a nice touch. Perfect place to stay when exploring the Canadian War Memorial and other memorials in the area.
