Bed bugs and no staff could not get hold of anyone to help. Stay awat

Found bed bug as soon as we entered the room. Tried to switch rooms mobody answered phone or showed up at the front desk. No cofee in the lobby. Giant pot holes driving in

Ok for the money.

Nobody was there when I showed up to check in. Just a note on the counter saying they’d be back by 4 pm, even though checkin is at 3.

Just not as nice as it was

We reluctantly booked this hotel with some optimism that people just leave bad reviews. We called 6 hours in advance to let them know we wouldn’t arrive until 1am and just wanted to make sure we would have someone to check us in. No problem when we arrive, he’s asleep at the desk, no problem. We eventually complete the front desk mission, then we walk up to our room on the second floor, swipe the card and nothing happens. We try this for maybe 5 minutes and then walk back to the front desk, he’s gone. Call the number. The phone at the counter rings… so I walk back up to the room and try the card many more times, recording everything. Then we hear a person coughing in the room we are supposed to be in. Wow! There were like 5 cars in the lot and we couldn’t get the right room. So we had to leave and find another hotel. Stay away

Surprisingly nice.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. The entire hotel reeks of cigarette smoke, which is crazy for a SMOKE FREE BUILDING. There is no staff, you push 0 when you walk in to get someone to the desk and wait around until they decide to show. We had a blood stain on our pillow (not pictured!, the black stains are something else I found when I stripped the bed before we left), the room was dirty, the tiling wasn’t sealed down on the window seal, no locks or screens on 2nd story windows (PARENTS BEWARE!!!), plug ins by the bed didn’t work, the blinding parking lot lights make sleeping impossible with the shades being too small for the window. For nearly $80 a night, you can definitely do better. Will never stay again. Most uncomfortable beds I believe we’ve ever slept on. Good luck getting housekeeping to clean your room. We hung the service requested sign, left for 4 hours and room was exactly as we left it. You’re better off sleeping in your car. If we could’ve gotten our money back we would have left the day we checked in.

Took an hour and a half just to be able to check in. Non smoking room but smelled like smoke. Freezer had mold in it. Third floor reeked of cat pee.

Very polite people run this establishment. Amazing room in an equally amazing location at a great price. Here is a big elephant in the room when it comes to motels within the greater Toledo area: some are cheaper but you'll be staying with drug dealers, pimps, prostitutes, and fugitives...which can be a genuinely dangerous situation...and it is very hard to beat Pier Inn, if not impossible, when it comes to the level of safety for the cost in such a close but more beautiful location.

Isn't it about time the travel companies and hotel/motel chains quit using the Covid Corona Bologna as an excuse for not providing advertised services and amenities such as breakfast. If every single restaurant in the country can be open so can the hotels. This is false advertising and very dishonest. Probably a call for a class action against both the travel agencies and hotel/motel providers.

Lost my wallet prior to checking in. It was found. Regardless.. They let me check in until I found my ID. Bed, TV etc were very nice. A block from Lake Erie. 👍

Ok thier was no body at the desk was told to call a number ,I was told my room was left open and when he got in he would call me to come down, didn't check id and my car alarm went off all night no cameras and was told to come look myself. And no phones in the room.

It was a good stay. Friendly service. Because of covid, no breakfast. But that is to be expected

The rooms were dirty there wasn’t hot water in my shower . We had to have our room cleaned before we would stay in it ! It was more like a apartment building with the people that are living there ! I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone pay the extra money for a better place an just drive to the beach !

Found cigarette butts on the floor by the check in and in our room. Smelled like cigarettes really bad. If you want food delivered to you here good luck trying to find somewhere to do so. In a location that’s too far for most places but you can drive it’s not too far really. The bed was super nice and firm though.
