We had a very rough start to our trip, found Avid after we previously booked a trash hotel not knowing how bad it was. Avid was beyond better than what we expected when we rebooked and staff took care of us like we were their own family. Joseph at the front desk was very kind and helped us get the best room possible and made our stay great. The showers there made me feel more clean afterwards than my own home does, and I’m a clean freak at times! This was amazing! We will stay here again and again!!!!!!!

The customer service I received here was immaculate!! I’d just booked a room a hour before arriving and my room was ready and clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the only downside is they don’t have pool.

I didn’t like my never was clean on the time I was in the hotel.

Joesph was AMAZING!!!! We had such a debacle with our team with canceled flights from Delta. Joesph helped us manage the rooms with such grace and wonderful customer service. He went above and beyond helping us even though we booked through a third party. He was a lifesaver!!!! AND he has only been on the job a month or two - he is a keeper for sure!!!! He made a crazy situation better for all of us in our group. Thank you, Joesph!!!!!

Very clean,quiet zone,frienly staff

“Worst hotel experience ever!” proclaimed my well-traveled teenage kids at multiple points during our one-night stay at this hotel. A sign in the lobby proudly announces “no one’s done it like this before” and they’re absolutely right. We checked in and were given keys to an occupied room. Amazing… never experienced that anywhere I’ve stayed in 40 countries around the world. Four stars to the super helpful and apologetic front desk guy who after several attempts with the computer system was able to get us a room that didn’t already have someone in it. Unfortunately that room had barely enough space to turn around in, broken light switches (lights stayed on all night) and an air conditioning unit that belched superheated air when the wall thermostat was set to 66 degrees and even when set to “off.” We briefly considered using the hotel-provided steam iron to cool the room (since things seemed to the opposite of what they were supposed to do) but it didn’t work either. By the time we checked out the room had heated to a balmy 82 degrees according to the thermostat. Meanwhile the hallway was 65 degrees. We’d have slept with the door open if it were physically possible. Couldn’t call the front desk because the phone didn’t work. When I mentioned to the new front desk attendant that “nothing in the room worked” I received only a blank stare. The included breakfast is what appeared to be roadkill re-branded as Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and microwaved to death.

Affordability and cleaness

The building was clean and smelled pleasant throughout. Our room was clean and comfortable, kids loved the stay. We did wish there was a microwave in the room instead of having to go down 3 floors to the lobby to heat up food but not that big of a deal. Parking was easy and the hotel is in a good part of town. Definitely convenient to the arena we were going to without being in the city itself. Would definitely stay here again!

It was good. It’s a small hotel but it met the needs.

New, clean, great location, great price, love all the room layout, including several wall hooks! They even promptly came to my room to fix my loose toilet seat upon notification. Only negative was that the TV, though the screen was huge, sharp, and smart (I could even check out from it), had a very limited number of channels and I missed seeing my home NBA team play a conference finals game, which was disappointing and hard to believe because most other hotels I stayed in on this long trip carried these basic channels -- even the ones of much lesser quality!

Minimalist, but clean and comfortable.

Room was fine. Hotel is fine. The bathroom was not clean. Hair all over the shower, it was gross. Cleaning and rinsing throughout the shower was not done.

Clean modern hotel. Love the hooks in the rooms-- why don't more hotels have those? Would definitely stay here again.

The Avid decor is fun, bright, minimalist and the rooms are spacious. We had a walk-in shower that was excellent. On the downside, there is no way to fully silence the heat/ac. Even when turned off it still buzzes. Also the matress on the bed was worn out and uncomfortable.

Great place to commute to class. Super value. Very quiet, and the gym was clean.

very unhelpful staff. rarely stationed at the desk, usually in the back room or in the bathroom. asked about a corkscrew and was told it was given out and never returned. I guess one guest can swipe a $7.99 utensil and that's just too bad for the hundreds of guests that will come after. vibe of the place is "don't bother me with your problems". was chastised by the front desk person for walking out the front doors of the hotel when someone happened to be standing outside them, after hours. As if its my job to ensure the safety of the facility, not hers. The list goes on. Get some people who understand what good customer service is and how to treat guests you hope will return. This was a one-and-done for me.

Perfect hotel for an overnight getaway. Stayed here after a concert in Minneapolis. The room was perfect for the two of us. Very clean. The furnishings were well designed with a modern feel. No extras that you never use anyway. Breakfast was very food.

The bathroom door in room 202 needs to be planed on the bottom to open and close properly. Easy and ancient for over pick and drop off in the area.

The room was clean and ready for our stay. Breakfast is ok, but limited options. Did like hot water dispenser for tea. Staff friendly. Only ice machine for property was out of order. Issue was loud neighbors and late night door slamming and loud people in hallways. The hotel isn't very well soundproofed, despite what IHG touts about this avid property design.

Front desk staff were excellent, they looked after all our needs. Property is clean, great location and quiet.

My flight got in about midnight. My son picked me up & since it is a nearly 3 hour drive to his house, we spent the night. The hotel was very clean & comfortable. We were only there about 8 hours and then left for his house. Under the same circumstances, I would definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel.

The hotel was great for the price! The staff was very friendly. The public areas were very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was fresh and sufficient although light on healthy and vegetarian options. Could the hotel find alternatives to all of the plastic used at the breakfast station? A plastic cup with a lid for one egg- not a good environmental choice. The room itself was roomy, but we found a sticky spot on the floor.
