The handicapped bathtub was to high.

We have stayed here now five times in three years. This location is perfect to get to the fwy to the local target and not far from the malls as well.
The rooms are just wonderful.
The beds are great condition.
The breakfast is great.
The staff at the desk and cleaning crew are just awesome!
You need to stay here when visiting San Marcos.

This was our second stay at the Ayres. It is a lovely property that is well cared for. The staff is friendly and helpful, including the lovely ladies who make breakfast time cheerful and delicious. Our room was comfortable, with cozy beds to look forward to at the end of busy days. The outside seating area is relaxing and attractive. The gym is well equipped and the pool area is nice too. We look forward to staying at the Ayres Hotel again in the future.

We loved this property. The property is clean and we enjoyed the inside and outside sitting areas. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The room offered a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and safe. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast had numerous options to choose from. The workout room was spectacular and the pool and spa were open. A great place at a reasonable price. This will be our go to place in the future.

The hotel itself was amazing. The staff was great. My only issue with the stay was the horrible people who had a Room above us…. They let kids run back-and-forth for hours on end stomping and jumping to the point where we couldn’t even enjoy our vacation/ relaxation….

Excellent. Spacious king room, puppy friendly, big oval tub shower combo, everything worked, quiet, bedside plugins for phones, etc. Nice breakfast buffet, bar in evening with flatbread pizza. Brissi Ranch 2 miles with upscale grocery stores, restaurants, drugstore, shops. Stay price super.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Iris Hotel. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. Communication was smooth, and everything met our expectations. We would recommend this hotel and might choose to stay here again on our next trip to San Diego. The only issue was that the bathroom could have been cleaner, as we found some hair in the tub, when we arrived. Other than that, everything was great, and we loved it!

Mark at the counter in the morning has the worst customer service approach I’ve ever experienced. He has great difficulty talking to guests. He can’t handle a basic checkout.

King bed was very uncomfortable. Very lumpy. The pullout sofa mattress had a giant urine stain on it. The shower curtain was stained. The single ply toilet paper was torture to my skin.

It was excellent and the staff was very courteous and cheerful at all times. Would like to recognize Terri who was the short-order cook cooking omelets for breakfast. She delighted us during breakfast. We never saw a grumpy staff anywhere. Highly recommend this hotel.

I am a sucker for a hotel room that is clean and has a deep soaking tub - this hotel is super clean and has the deep soaking tub; rather than the gross jetted tubs. The rooms are huge!
The staff is super sweet and understanding. I didn't get to try the legendary breakfast - but will do the next time I stay.
My only complaint is that the available parking does not meet the needs of their hotel. When I stayed, there was an Enterprise moving truck taking up 3-4 parking spaces and electric vehicle charging spaces (4-6 empty spaces) and I had to wait in one of these spots to get a traditional parking space after 11pm.
But overall I will be staying here again!

Common breakfast area needs to be improved so that people can grab breakfast without forming unnecessary lines. Otherwise Omelette is the highlight which is pretty delicious. Hotel is relatively new with big spacious rooms with daily room service which is appreciated.

I stay here regularly, staff is amazing (shout out to Alphonse, David & Joy) they have handled numerous special requests - even wine recommendations! They always make me feel welcome. Hotel is newer, sparkling and has every amenity I've ever needed.

The hotel has a full bar with happy hour specials, they also offer artesian pizza on most days! The pool and jacuzzi are on the smaller side, but perfect for a quick dip.
Hotel features a full gym and the front desk offers coffee, a water refill station and snacks for purchase.
Located less than 5 mins from Encinitas which has a ton of food and bar options. Would recommend and will definitely be adding this hotel to our list of favorites!
