Had a good stay

Well situated to transit options with a nice food truck park close by with many food options.

Cons: Paper thin walls. Loudest hotel we have ever stayed at. Cheap extra firm spring mattresses. Front desk lacks customer service skills. $40 valet parking. Pros: Centrally located. Parking garage near by has $15 overnight self parking- forego valet. Breakfast included. First time we called to request early check in front desk agent named Cambria answered the phone with Hello? Needs to be trained on how to answer a phone at a business. Was not helpful. When we checked in at the desk we asked again for an early check in. The lady blamed systems issues on Microsoft outage just like Cambria. The systems were up and running to check in and out, how are you unable to accommodate? Told they were sold out. That we had no choice to wait till 3PM. A man behind us walked in to ask about room rates. Lady proceeded to say we have multiple rooms available. The front desk employees lack good customer service skills and enthusiasm. They represent the company and I personally will not choose a Hyatt again due to this poor experience. We came to the lobby with our bags since we were driving from southern oregon for a wedding and sat to wait at 1:45. About 10 mins later the front desk lady says we have a room ready now. Why make it harder for someone when they are asking for 1-2 hr early check in? I worked in hospitality for many years and we always had people checking out early and rooms were done way in advance. Just be honest and helpful.

It was perfectly located for my intended activities and did not require a car. The breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold items. It was a great stay.

Close to downtown activities

Everything about this hotel was nice. Easy check in, beautiful lobby, nice employees. It’s in a nice area with lots of food options in minutes walking distance. Will definitely be back here!

The staff and valet were so pleasant and efficient. The room was clean and welcoming. I will stay again next time I am in Portland!

Excelent service and the room were clean

No parking

Parking is a challenge for a suburban hotel but the property is otherwise first rate.

Check in time was 3 PM but the property wasn't ready until 4 PM. We had travelled from far and wanted to just take rest. Moreover, should we go over the check out time, they would charge based on other reviews. Also, valet parking for $30? However, the property is located in a good area, was clean, had breakfast included, and nice rooms. So I will deduct 1 star for the delayed check in.

Microwave broken. Refrigerator in lobby broken.

Nice two day stay. Room looked different on Hotels.com, but was still ok. Everything was fine, except the parking was a bit inconvenient. Only Valet at the hotel itself, otherwise there is a parking lot up the street. Super limited street parking, no spots at evening time.

You really enjoyed our stay and we love that we had a great view of Mount Hood, our kids especially thought it was really neat to stay at the top floor. We consistently were impressed with how kind and knowledgeable the staff were. I went on several trail runs and at the recommendation of the staff, found some wonderful Parks and trails to hit up.

Separate parking fees are charged and parking is difficult.

One of the hotel check-in staff was rude. We did not receive room service! I was told at checkout, you were supposed to request it. Overall, the room and bed was comfortable and very welcoming. There were No pet amenities, i.e. pet bowls, towels, or pads for inside use. There was no designated pet area for outside use. It was Valet parking only at the hotel. You could however find street parking and a near by parking lot.

Really nice petite property. Only two complains: 1) the bathroom door should have a door stop so the door doesn’t bang the wall and 2) in this technology age…if a person needs a phone charger they should be able to rent one.

Beware of hidden costs.

We didn't like that it was an extra $30 to park for one night, just in the back lot of the hotel

Great customer service

The hotel charged the pet fee without asking us whether our dog is service animal while we are checking in or any time during the stay and suddenly put a charge on both rooms two weeks after we checked out. And refuse to refund even I reached out to the customer service on Hotels.com and call the hotel directly. The staff at the hotel was rude and just kicked me back to the Hotels.com customer service without giving any further comment about going against their own policy and unfairly charge on service animals nor apology for the wrong DOUBLED charges. Horrible experience.

Easy , friendly check in, valet Wilson very helpful with information about valet. I love the texting to request your car. My dog was with me during visit. A chose this hotel Because they allowed a dog . We drove from woodland wa for my dog to have surgery on both of his eyes. This hotel worked out perfectly. Thank you Hyatt House
