Property was great, modern and clean

My husband and I recently spent two nights at The Wildset exploring the Historic town of Saint Michaels. The hotel was amazing on many levels. The room was clean, beautifully decorated in a Scandinavian style, and comfortable. The breakfast provided rivals European breakfasts and offered a selection of pastries, quiche, fresh fruit, and yogurt. All you need to start the day. In the back of the hotel is a gorgeous area with seats and a fire pit. Thoughtful touch…..Make-your-own s’mores kits are provided at the check-in desk. The hotel staff was always friendly and helped us with everything we needed. I want to give this hotel a score higher than 10! I’m pretty picky and this hotel knocked it out of the park.

This hotel was wonderful overall and we will stay there again. The hotel has a brand new feeling and it’s impeccably clean. The room have a lot of light. However, I will need to bring an eye mask because I need it darker for sleep. I will also request a room away from Talbot street because we could hear the cars throughout the evening. The bonfire and free snores were wonderful and the free bike rental is a nice touch as the town is very bike friendly. The free breakfast was a nice touch too!

Beautifully landscaped boutique space with great service from hotel staff. Very comfortable stay and a good value.

This is a really great boutique hotel. Everything is new and crisp. They have wonderful amenities, such as complementary bike rentals, evening s’mores at the fire pit, etc. The hotel is walking distance to everything in Saint Michael’s, which was a total plus. Parked our car when we checked in and didn’t need it again. Complimentary breakfast is also nice.

This hotel was very nice. Room was very spacious and clean. The people at the front desk were very nice. I love that everything was walkable. That was really nice. The was a nice size parking lot so we didn’t have to move our car at all since we walked.

Great service and friendly staff. Convenient location to everything.

The room was very clean, which I appreciated; however there was an overpowering smell of bleach/cleaning solution when we first entered the room that lingered for quite some time. Perhaps you could consider a solution that is as effective but less toxic smelling. The property is beautiful, and we were delighted that Ruse was open for dinner on this visit, as we had an exceptional meal. Our server, Brittany, was personable and efficient. I found it strange that an up cocktail was served in a coupe type glass usually used for champagne; however that bothered me far less than the fact that the bartender did not know how to make a gimlet. I received something that resembled a margarita made with vodka, and the glass had a sugared rim! Perhaps some remedial training would help.

Awesome redone hotel, right in the heart of the action in st Michaels. Would definitely stay here again for another wedding if given the opportunity.

We stayed one night for the St. Michaels Running Festival. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating, very easygoing and helpful. The location is great, and the rooms were clean, well designed, and spacious. As someone with Celiac, they even have gluten-free breakfast options for guests. The beds were comfy; the shower was nice. One thing I'd love to see is a small lamp for the rooms, because the lighting was too strong at night and in morning when waking early for the race. Yet, there was nothing from wanting us to return to this place the next time we do the running festival (we live in Annapolis, but I'd recommend to those coming in for longer stays).

This spot was absolutely perfect for our weekend. We ran a running race that went through town so this was a central location. The finishes are top of the line. The beds are unbelievably comfortable and the staff was so so accommodating. It’s absolutely perfect. Can’t wait to go back!

I really wanted to love this hotel. The design is clean, simple, and lovely. But there were too many areas where odd choices or lack of attention to detail made it miss the mark, especially at this price point. In particular, breakfast was disappointing. While the plates were nice (and not disposable) and some of the napkins were fabric, the coffee cups, utensils, and other napkins were all disposable. In addition to being an environmental nightmare, it’s a really unpleasant experience as a guest to be eating with plastic. The breakfast was also the same as at the cheap chain hotel in a previous stay - I would have expected something more in keeping with the level of the hotel, particularly at this cost. Also, there was a very loud machine noise in the restaurant space (it seemed to be coming from the soft ice cream machine) that made it an unpleasant environment in which to eat. The rooms looked nice but there was nothing to absorb sound in the hallways, so I had to put on my white noise machine to block the sounds of other guests (who weren’t even being very noisy). The bathrooms also had loud exhaust fans that turn on if you walk past the bathroom door (seemed to be on a motion sensor and there was no way to turn it off). It was cold and rainy and we weren’t permitted to use the in-room fireplace - odd given the weather. At checkout, someone was repairing a toilet and left the replacement seat on the counter where the coffee machines were. Just gross.

Very nice place. Room was nice and everyone was friendly

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and catch a break. Leaving aside that the town of St Michael’s was redoing the sidewalks by the hotel and waking us up with the noise of jackhammers before 8am (for which the hotel can’t do anything), we really enjoyed our stay. We loved the design of the room, its spaciousness and airiness, the wonderful smell of the soaps provided and the smores by the fireplace in the evening. The town is very charming and walkable, and we loved taking the complementary bikes for a cruise around town.

Great property! Close to everything, clean, friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back again.

It was a clean and trendy lodging

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. The place was clean and right in walking distance to town. The only negative is that the noise from other rooms is a little loud.
