Price for room was minimal and is in a wonderful location. Having a security door for the accomodation area is excellent. Promotes people to socialize in a lovely environment

Blonde bar attendant who poured a complementary pint down the drain was the only downside . Seemed to get pleasure while doing it well. Beyond moronic . Other than her stupidity, it was an enjoyable stay

Really liked the room, the social space and the shared bathroom as there was 4 toilets and showers. I was expecting normal loud bar noise after reading previous reviews, but it was ridiculous how loud it was on Saturday night until 2am, even with my very heavy duty earplugs I knew what song was being played downstairs and then music again at 8am on Sunday morning. Such a shame as really enjoyed it otherwise and weeknights were much quieter

Great location, pretty nice old building. Staff was pleasant. Style was not totally to my liking but pretty nice. For the price, it was great!

Pleasant stay with the kids with friendly service from staff.lovely food served up with excellent refreshing drinks. A little noisey but was a friday night but we got our sleep.easy check out and we we're on our way.thanks for the stay

The only problem I had was that the shower wasn't hot enough. The nightclub was loud, but is a warning when booking, so people know what to expect.

There were no towels provided in the room, and no-one could be contacted in the morning to assist, so we couldn't shower. My phone charger was left behind, which was my error, however upon inquiring I was told it was not found in the room, which was clearly incorrect. When I first phoned to discuss, I was told someone would phone me back the following day, which they didn't, and when I again phoned the next day there was no attempt made to rectify these problems, instead I was made to feel like it was my fault that I hadn't noticed the missing towels until morning, and that I was lying about the phone charger. All up, a very poor experience.

Being a pub hotel, there were issues with noise from the bars (not the nightclub noise) and no guest reserved parking. Reception check-in was unusual, with having to press a very high up the wall intercom and then wait for someone to turn up, in the hallway. Was asked to pay a room bond of Aus$100. No info given about breakfast or other things (like tea/coffee making). Couldn't open windows or balcony door for some fresh sea air

Trying to sleep in the middle of a nightclub is torture. Bed was shaking and not in a good way.

Great location. Easy access to beach, nice 30 min walk to train into Adelaide. The noise was too LOUD, difficult to sleep. Instant coffee provided, but no coffee cups. Sink in common area was often full of dirty cups. Put do not disturb sign on door, housekeeping came in any way.

Really beautiful location, great building and I had a lovely time there. However, all 3 days I used the showers they were out of shower gel - I should have complained but every day assumed they would have been refilled. It also wasn't very clear from the description that the bathrooms were shared. Coffee mugs were dirty and apart from water the amenities weren't great. I was lucky I'm a heavy sleeper as on the Friday night I could hear every word of the songs in the bar below. There was a warning about noise but it was worse than anticipated (especially as Friday was the most expensive night).

Noisy with windows that don’t open ( just double glaze them) stop the road noise and let everyone know about the band noise before booking.

The room had no ventilation the only way to get ventilation was to leave the door open!

This is the absolute worst stay I have ever had in 40 years of travelling and I have lodged a formal complaint with Ramsgate Management. We were kept awake till 2:00am with the extreme noise from the DJ and guests downstairs, of which we were NOT advised at any stage, despite a call to Ramsgate the night before, checking on availability. The fire alarm system went of during the night with an ear piercing sound that awoke everyone upstairs and created a panic as all thought there was a fire and attempted to exit the building in pyjamas and dressing gowns. The alarm sounded for some time and seemed like nobody downstairs even cared. Then to top things off, my partner Glenda had to go to the toilet at around 12:50am and was confronted at the door to the ladies amenities, by a naked man coming out and attempting to wrap a towel around himself. As soon as he had exited, Glenda stepped inside to be confronted by a naked woman, who had obviously been engaged in activities with the man that had just left. I find this entire experience totally unacceptable and a serious breach of Ramsgate's due dilligence. myself and my partner are both in our sixties and I must say that when I heard what had happened when Glenda came back to the room very distressed, I was ropeable as this scenario could very well have turned nasty and may have ended in the need for an ambulance, or worse. Consequently, I request a full refund and acknowledgement of actions, or I will be escalating the matter.

Old world charm and style comfortable bed. The automatic timer on the light in the mens bathroom was too slow to activate and too quick if you needed to have a shower in the evening to get ready for dinner The 10 minute fire alarm at 11 am didn't help but beyond control

The check in process was a bit messy because the staff member didn’t realise that we had already paid in advance of our arrival. Facilities including the shared bathroom were great.

There was no parking around the hotel. I was expected to lug my suitcase over 1 km to get to my room. Then there was a function going to 3 am, and their solution was to offer free drinks. I wanted to get up at 7 to go and do a Park Run, so it wasn’t suitable at all for me. They refused to give me back my money. So I spent $147 for NOTHING. No accommodation; nothing. They stole my money and even though they room was unsuitable and I didn’t find out until I arrived, after driving from another state; they didn’t care a bit. So I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Ever. Thieves.

Room, whilst clean and tidy is very basic. No in-room facilities other than TV. No ensuite, no tea/coffee, one towel only, no onsite carparking. The vendor demands a further $100 deposit upon arrival, none of which was disclosed on the booking listing.

I would highly recommend staying here!
