No complains, got what I paid for (which was very little)

I stay here every time I'm in Darmstadt. It is in a central location handy for transport or walking. Only downside the pillows are a little on the thin side but otherwise no complaints

Room hadn’t been cleaned, fruit & water still on the table plus bin hadn’t been emptied. Bits of rubbish on the floor too. Plus the electronic check in wouldn’t allow me access although I had the correct code so had to go to the neighbouring hotel to sort it. At least the a/c worked although noises.

Absolutely terrible, avoid at all costs. Super rude staff and facilities are awful. It says Aircon available but the hotel won't turn it on, one person said they only turn on in summer, it was 27°C but they refused to turn it on. Another person said that the caretaker isn't here but they will switch it on tomorrow, the so called manager said next morning that it's broken, after telling her that one of the staff said they only turn on in summer she changed her statement and yes that's true... We requested for fans if they cannot turn on the AC for any reason and they refused at first then after said that all fans were being used by other guests. The check in was terrible as I had prepaid everything but their system said you have prepaid too much. Apparently I had to pay the tax again. Upon checking into the room, the exhaust doesn't work in the toilet, the shower and toilet is separate with the sink outside in the open... The shower door is see through :( which was one of the biggest issues and is almost always visible from all angles of the room. Due to this we asked to change the room and the staff member said all the rooms are same and said you can just book another room that way you can stay separately. After the 8 hour journey I was too tired to argue so booked another room at a much higher price at which point the only reason I booked this hotel was that it was slightly cheaper than others...The parking was the hotel is very expensive, €15 for the night and $1.50/h.

Good price/quality and good location. Problems with the automated check-in were solved by the nearby THE Hotel reception. Not possible to temporarily store the luggage after check-out. Problem solved at the reception of the THE Hotel

The broken lift of the hotel & complicated check-in does not make one feel welcome

The self check in machine was useless. Never got a booking reference. Really fiddly to use. No one wants to get stuck with this stupid machine after a long and tiring journey. In the end The Darmstadt receptionist checked me in easily anyway, so why not just let me check in with a human next time?

The bathroom is see-through. There is no bath curtains, no hairdryer. I am travelling with my friend, not a couple.

Convenient location near center and not far from train station. Overall good conditions of room and hotel and service. Due to environmental reasons (?!) rooms are not done unless requested one day before

The pillow was so small, I had to put my handbag underneath my head. I asked for bigger or more pillows but didn't get it. I just don't understand the idea behind putting a baby pillow!! The parking fee is 7 euros which was not mentioned. The check-in 4:00 pm and out 11:00 a.m are not convenient. check-in 1 hr early will cost you 30 eu!! Otherwise ok

Convenient for a short overnight stay

Overall good and convenient accomodation in the central area of the city. The check-in was rather confused: got first a wrong room. Then 2 times non working key-card.

Nice hotel centrally located in Darmstadt. Modern, simply furnished, well connected to station and city center. Kiind staff. Good quality vs price. Only minus is that room cleaning is not done unless requested

The hotel was centrally located and close to the things we wanted to see. The modern decor was the style I really like and the room was extremely comfortable.

Although I showed a fully paid voucher and also showed them the bank charge, the reception desk man (Bender) demanded that I must pay again or sleep in the street (it was to late to find another place) alleging problems in the reservation. Despite he was being called from expedia to assure him that the room was paid for, he refused to refund my money, and the people from expedia told me that he refused also to refund and give them an explanation. Minutes after they had the same problem with another 2 customers, nevertheless he allow them to access the room, but he denied my reimburse. I have scalated the problem in expedia, but if expedia does not refund my money, I have literally been robbed!
