This is a top-notch hotel that is within a complex, which has some amazing restaurants and other things to do that are very close by.
I definitely give her praise to the hotel, and to the more modern section of the town, and which it sits.
The one very distinct downside to this hotel and the immediate area surrounding is that phone reception was almost nonexistent.
My phone and my fiancé‘s phone, which are on two separate phone plans with two separate carriers experienced the same problems. The problem was no service, then all of a sudden service and then in the middle of that service no service again.
Marriott and the surrounding complex should attempt to have a cell phone repeater station placed on their substantially large property to mitigate this problem. It is definitely a big problem. I stayed at another hotel in a older part of the city about a month prior and phone service was amazing. So I know that Mexicali has very good cell phone service so there should be some way of resolving this issue. With that said, I am hesitant to stay at this location again only for that specific reason other than that it’s a beautiful hotel wonderful employees super clean everything and amazing restaurants just a few steps away.

The architect design is up today, the staff is nice , friendly and knowledgeable. The food is good. The room is spacious and clean.

This is one of my favorite hotels. Parking is usually not an issue, however, when there is a big event or events at nearby facilities, parking becomes valet only due to overcrowding.

First checkin experience was overwhelming, got to the hotel. The employee asked me to sign a paper with no background information whatsoever and i asked what it was for and they got upset for asking a genuine question. They asked me how i would like to pay when the reservation was fully paid for through hotels.com and kept insisting it was not paid for. After resolving that issue i headed up to the room and to my surprise they did not give me the room i had booked for (double room) they gave me a single bed room so now had to go downstairs and ask for my original room that i paid for.

One of my favorite hotels for location, close to the US border, near restaurants and shopping malls, great customer service, always welcoming, clean rooms, quiet, family friendly.
Overall a great place to stay.

I showered the first night and the shower was clogged along with the sink, I notified the front desk and nobody came around to fix it. I kept waking up at night because some machine type of noise kept going off all night.

I have stayed here many times and always have a good experience. The staff is nice, friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the only thing is this time we stayed on the fourth floor right under the gym and the noise was bad, don’t know if it was the sound of the weight’s being dropped on the floor or what but it was loud. Could have slept an hour more if it wasn’t for the noise.

Great hotel, good location, very clean and comfortable. The staff was fabulous. Very friendly and attentive. I go to Mexacali often and have always been disappointed by my choice in Lodging. I finally found my go to hotel on future visits.

I would have loved if there was a bellboy service as we had a lot of bags with us. But other than that it was great! My favorite hotel here in Mexicali so far.

Second time I've stayed here. The first was flawless! This time, a few minor issues but I chose not to report them until checkout. I did have to ask twice for linens for the sofa bed, but very simple issue.
