Our youngest son had a school camp, which gave us a quick romantic getaway. However, with Ernesto lurking, we scratched Turk and Caicos, due to strong winds, and Bávaro Beach due to rain… this left Nassau as our best option. I had lived in Nassau when I was a child, and had snubbed the Island for years… we are so glad we visited Nassau. The Goldwynn was a perfect hideaway, mostly adults, quiet and a clam beautiful beach, and outstanding pool. The staff was wonderful and the meals very nice. We will be back, besides, it gave me some time to visit my old school and home. We also had a wonderful meal at the Fish Shack, as well as at the Graycliff Hotel… superb trip. BTW, I left the lights on the car the night before we left, and the staff had contacted Avis, to ensure they had a car brought to us, without being prompted to do so… honestly, we loved the place. I had my doubts on the beach, I love clear and calm waters, but go ahead and book, the beach and the place are wonderful.

Every moment we spent at Goldwynn was perfect! It was quiet, and all the facilities were very clean, and the staff were all so friendly! The room was beautiful and modern. While there aren't many restaurants, you can use the Kraven delivery app. If I return to the Bahamas, I will definitely stay at Goldwynn again!

Beach was wonderful. Restaurant is poor. You have to self cater or go out for every meal. Cabs are expensive so plan accordingly. Hotel was lovely and clean and spacious close enough to Baha Mar. we would come back.

Visited Goldwynn for our 30 year anniversary. Breathtakingly beautiful hotel. Infinity pool overlooking the beach. Close proximity to BahaMar. Friendly staff. Very modern and beautiful rooms. No crowds at all.

We decided at the last minute to book a quick trip to Nassau. We were a little hesitant because it is a little more expensive than some of the other places to stay. However, from the second we arrived, they literally took care of every little thing we needed. The staff were all incredibly kind, friendly and so helpful. We felt like family. The food and drinks are all absolutely amazing. The rooms are top notch. I can’t say enough good things about our trip and stay at The Goldwynn. We stayed in an ocean view studio. The view was beautiful. The room was also so well appointed with so many little touches that make life just a little easier. Filtered water and a nice insulated water bottle is provided. The toiletries are nice. Great towels, bathrobes, and even slippers. The beds were so comfy. And the room keys are silicone bracelets so no more lost room keys and having to go to the front desk when you forgot it. I just kept mine on the whole trip. Also the location is perfect. It’s quiet and on one of the most beautiful beaches you’ll ever see. Close enough to get to the different attractions but also far enough from the hustle and bustle of the large resorts, downtown, and the cruise ships. All just a short cab ride. We will definitely be heading back as soon as we possibly can. Treat yourself. It’s absolutely worth every penny. The only thing is we would’ve liked the pool bar to stay open a little later to sit out and watch the summer sunsets with a cocktail at the beach.

An elegant and well kept property with very helpful staff. The pool and beach are superb and the food is excellent. The rooms with a sea view are great. My wife and I had a wonderful time.

This property has a lot of potential because it’s new, clean and quiet. The staffing definitely needs improvement, and I strongly believe that management it’s the root cause of this issue. To be fair the staff at the front desk was very nice and helpful. There’s definitely a lack of structure and communication among the other areas/departments in the premises. That being said, the staff it’s scattered throughout the property but when you truly need to be assisted you need to be looking for them. For instance, during breakfast I had to look for a waiter to take our order after 25 minutes of being seated. When I wanted a drink at the pool, I had to go look for a waiter as well and the waiter at the other side of the pool ended up assisting us. When I went to the restaurant for dinner I was told that certain meals that were on the menu like a cheese burger was only available to order through room service. Well, a couple that arrived after me and next to me were served fries and a burger which I was told I couldn’t order. I brought that up to the manager’s attention and unfortunately he replied with excuses instead of taking ownership of the situation. He replied “well that’s on the kids menu”, which is not true. When I cheeked out I requested to see the bill and I’m glad I did because I was being charged a $90 dinner that I’ve never consumed. Overall, nice place but terrible service.

Beautiful property, however, a big lack of customer service at check in. There was no one greeting or assisting with luggage which I would have expected at a luxury resort.

This is by far the most beautiful resort in the Bahamas. Our room was stunning, the finishes were high end and every design choice was thoughtful and luxurious. From the lobby to the lounge and pool side it is just beauty all around. I especially loved their commitment to showcasing local art and this is evident throughout the entire space. The staff here are so kind and attentive. We will absolutely be recommending the Goldwyn to everyone we know. Glad we didn’t book anywhere else. Baha Mar is definitely more lively and is fun to visit at night (quick 5 minute drive or you can walk along the beach), but we loved being able to come back to our beautiful and peaceful space.

I enjoyed my stay here, everything was almost perfect. One day the pipe burst and we did not have a working shower until about 3pm and when the water came back on it was running brown. Aside from that everything was cool. It wouldve been nice to have been compensated for our troubles or even have it acknowledged, but hey business is business right.

Lovely resort, people are very friendly. Only limitation is that there are not many dining options on site. If you go off-site to other resorts you need to book the reservations well in advance. Also the food is very expensive.

Staff friendliness

They have the most wonderful and friendly staff. The property is absolutely beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable. I gave four stars because on our last day the showers stopped working. When they did work, the water was brown. We finally were able to shower at 9pm, but it was a bummer after swimming at the beach and not being able to clean off. Other than that this resort is astonishing.

Beautiful ocean view rooms which are extremely quiet! The heated pool and beach are directly on the ocean. Hotel staff was plentiful and took care of all of our requests .

Beautiful property . Amazing and quit beach and wonderful pool

Goldwynn is a very nice place. My wife stayed in mid-May (Sunday - Friday). Here’s the good and not so good. Good: Nice, clean and spacious rooms. Ocean facing rooms have automated black out curtains. Beautiful pool. Relatively small property, so it’s easy to navigate the hotel. The front desk staff is helpful. Plenty of beach and pools chairs - this was never a challenge for us. Nice and spacious gym. It’s a beautiful property on a nice, private stretch of beach. It’s about a 15-18 walk to Baja Mar where they have a casino and a lot of OK restaurants. Not so good: The staff isn’t motivated to be service oriented. A lot of standing around by the staff including the beach staff. Only one restaurant. It’s Ok, but definitely nothing great - especially for the prices. Breakfast is very marginal. It’s a “sleepy” resort without much activity. They do have a deck DJ on Wed - Sat which helps. Nassau: Prices in Nassau are outrageous ($95 for two burgers and two ice teas). Taxis are at least $20 for two people no matter how far you’re going. The people don’t seem too happy or appreciative of their main resource - tourism. Overall: Turks is much better. If you can, go to Turks and your experience will be twice as good. This has less to do with the Goldwynn and more to do with Nassau.

The pool and beach were amazing as was the room’s balcony. The robes in the room were soft and the bedding was comfortable. The kitchenette was perfect and well equipped. The spa staff was incredible. Nothing much in walking distance of the property yet. The gym was all new and had ample equipment. Staff was very responsive to our needs.
