Penzion na Grunte is very pet friendly, clean,cosy, modern and tidy with everything we needed. It is very convenient to have a fridge and little kitchen with private bathroom in the room along with a kettle and hospitality tray. Communication with the hotel is very good and helpful. The staff go over and above to make you feel welcome and I can’t recommend this place enough. Very reassuring to have management on site all the time. Excellent and top standards with plenty of woods around if you need to take your furry friends for descent walk. Keep up the good work Penzion na Gurte. You are a little diamond. Thanks for making me and my pupps feel so very at home. Definitely I will stay there for my next visit.

It has a generous-sized, free car park separated from the main building by a small access road for a few cottages. Entrance and check-in is done at the bar, the furthest door from the car park. You will walk through a small beer garden before you get there. Once inside there is a small pub/ restaurant selling some local speciality beers – more expensive than normal for the Czech Republic, but well worth sampling if you like beer. The restaurant serves very good home-made food. I had a Czech pub staple – marinated Hermelin cheese. This was imaginatively served in a glass jar and the portion was generous and well-flavoured. At the back there is an attractive small garden, which you will pass on your way to a discrete entrance reserved for the use of guests only. We stayed in the loft-style family room comprising two double beds with a partition between them, a small kitchen and dining area and bathroom offering both shower and bath. The décor was simple white and wood and finished to a high standard, the beds comfortable and everything spotlessly clean. For the price paid, it represented fantastic value for money.

Nothing really bad about this place. On the Booking.com website, it stated that breakfast was available for an additional 80 crowns (CZK) in Czech money (about £2.80 at time of writing) but on enquiring, we were told it was 100CZK. It might be as well for someone to update this information. It didn't matter, with the kitchen in our room we were able to prepare our own.
