A very nice house just off the beach--perfect for relaxing

Great week in Folly Beach at an awesome beach house. Beautiful kitchen. Spectacular views. Tons of amenities in the home. A wonderful Time had by all. Will be back for sure.

The location of the house was perfect for our family. Located 3 miles from the heart of Folly Beach, we preferred the less crowded beach towards the end of the island. We took beautiful walks to the end of every morning, evening, and at night. The house is located next to public access but that did not bother us as it was still less crowded than closer into town. The house is ocean front but partially obstructed by another house build directly in front. The design of the porch allows you to sit facing the beach and the house to our front, right did not bother us at all. The upstairs bedroom has a porch but the flooring was uncomfortably soft in areas and felt unsafe to walk around on that porch. The king and queen beds were very comfortable but the bunk room beds were rather hard. The house is pet friendly and we traveled with our dog. The house is outfitted with a central vac system. The addition of a small vacuum would have made it easier to keep up with sand and dog hair as the central vac hose was difficult to maneuver. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to cook a meal. I closely review pictures and rental property based primarily on the photos, so I was disappointed to find there were no bar stools at the kitchen counter as indicted in the pictures (we are big into bar stools and gathering in the kitchen as we cook); on the upside, there were all new, tall exterior porch chairs, not shown in the pictures.

We were so impressed with the cleanliness and spaciousness of the house. It was perfect for 2 families with 3 kids. Hope to visit again next year!

Great location. House is airy and open. Kitchen is stocked with so many things! Comfortable beds. I love the outdoor showers. Wow! I took most of my showers there. Nice that after a day at the beach I can clean up without dragging sand into the house.

We absolutely loved this home. The views and access to the beach are AMAZING!! The home is cozy and gorgeous for a family getaway. It had everything we needed and more. This was our second time staying here and we can't recommend this property enough! The home is absolutely stunning and has everything you could ever need on your vacation. The location and view is remarkable! A few miles down the road from the center of town and perfectly nestled on a quiet section of Folly Beach. We loved our time at this beautiful, well-maintained, clean beach house!! Nice beachy decorations. A beautiful kitchen with water views if you decide to cook. The house is solidly built with a gorgeous open and beautiful living room and stairs to the upper level. When you look at this listing's pictures, you’re hoping it’s as good as it looks….and it is!!! Great light and sunrises from the beach side. Easy to pop out to the beach through your own private gate in the fence. We loved the shutters in the bedrooms. It was easy to make it super dark for sleeping, or let in whatever level of light you want. Usually we’ve stayed closer to the center of Folly, but we loved this location. It was easy to walk down the beach to the undeveloped area of the Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve. We liked the peacefulness of this area, and didn’t mind the slight extra drive to go explore downtown Charleston or wherever our vacationing selves wanted to go. (Hint: Crosby’s Fish Truck!) The owner is the perfect combination of laid-back and professional. We had one minor issue related to some harsh weather right before our arrival. They were out to fix it right away. Our dog loved it here! He loved playing in the waves, walking on the beach, and swimming with all the other dogs at the James Island County Park dog park. There was a warm-water dog wash in the outdoor shower, so we could make sure he wasn’t sandy when he came inside. The only sign we saw that other dogs had stayed here was a set of dog bowls that he could use. We don’t often stay in the same house on vacation, but we’re already figuring out when we can return to this one!!!

Gorgeous home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean! We enjoyed the location near the lighthouse, walked the beautiful seashore finding tons of shells, and shopping day or night at the local market down the street! Fun trip!

I can't say enough good things about this space. The location is beautiful. We watched surfers from the deck every day. The kitchen is very well appointed. I cook a lot and found everything I needed and all of good quality for a rental. Everything has been updated and is very nice. Beds are comfortable. We had internet issues that the owners responded to quickly and we could fix. We really enjoyed the property. Folly Beach is a small beach town with just enough restaurant variety for us for a few days.

We love Charleston beaches and generally are here for Christmas with our adult children. This property is pet friendly (crucial for us) and well-located on the beach (though the view is partially obstructed) to the East of downtown in a quiet neighborhood. This house has good amenities (loved the sun porch), but it is pricey for what it is, which is three bedrooms, two with King beds and one with a bunch of bunks.

We loved staying at this property for the holidays with the family. The location was stunning and it was incredible to wake up to the ocean sunset each morning. Highly recommend!

This property gave us a beautiful view and easy access to the beach. We loved the location as it was more secluded for quiet atmosphere and low key beach, but just a golf cart ride to great restaurants and night life. Our family will hold memories of Folly Beach for years!

it was the perfect spot for our annual family beach vacation

I have been going to folly beach for the last ten yrs. Always rent home there. Dotti who is the owner was very receptive to any questions as well as calls. There was a small glitch and Dotti as well as her son corrected the problem right away. We will definitely be staying there again!!! We love our time on the beach and visiting with family.

We chose Folly Beach to celebrate 10 years of vacationing together with extended family. It was my year to choose the house and really glad I found Dottie’s house! It was beautiful, clean, bright, and so well stocked. I highly recommend it. Hope to return for another trip.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The home is beautiful with lots of windows and sunlight. We had a mesmerizing view of the ocean…just seconds from the beach. The location is about 3 miles from the main area of Folly. It felt much more private. The house has a fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of utensils for eating and cooking. As well as pots and pans. With an infant we did a lot of cooking and grilling. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms nicely appointed. The A/C worked great. Water pressure was impressive. Dottie, our hostess, was available by phone when we had questions. Great time! Great home! Thank you

We LOVED this house!! It was perfect for our family of 5 traveling from MI and looking for a beach getaway. The house and the area (Folly/Charleston) exceeded our expectations. And I couldn’t get enough of the views from the house and the natural light. Beds were very comfortable, the AC worked great and kitchen was fully stocked. Dottie was always super responsive to all the questions I had. Thank you for an amazing vacation. I can’t wait to rent this property again in the future!

Whole experience was wonderful

Great beachfront property featuring the sand just steps from the back deck providing great convenience! Beach was not crowded - just the other local homeowners. We enjoyed the convenience of being just a few minutes from downtown but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The Floor to ceiling windows in the great room have a picturesque view of the beach/ocean. Great deck with barstools showcase another great view. Rain? No worries there is also a sunroom that has more floor to ceiling windows so you can enjoy the breeze while remaining dry. Bedrooms are as advertised with VERY comfortable beds. Very easy process and Dottie was great to work with.

We had a wonderful time at this Folly Beach Oasis! We loved the private location, away from the crowds! But rented golf carts that allowed easy access around the island. The house was beautiful and even better in person! Plenty of living space, the outdoor decks a luxury and the beachfront access a breeze for our kids to run out and play! We loved seeing the dolphins fish near the rocks in the morning, and the crabs running around at night. Hands down the best kitchen rental we've ever had! This kitchen is stocked with any and all essentials needed! Even providing plenty of to-go tumblers for your party to use. Can't recommend this place more. Gracious hosts, who provide a beautiful place for your family to create plenty of priceless memories!

This house is absolutely wonderful! We stayed here for a bachelorette party and it was everything we could have hoped for. The house is right on the beach which made for a perfect beach day. The only downside is that it is difficult to get Ubers/Lyfts right now, so I would encourage people to have their own car or schedule rides ahead of time.
