This property was an amazing stay for us. Plenty of room for a large family or extended family. Close enough to any stores and the beach, but away from the tourists hustle and bustle. Will definitely stay again.

The size & layout of the house was as listed. However, the house was not clean, there were two bags of laundry laying in front of the steps to the house, cobwebs in several places & clutter everywhere, there was a light switch and outlet in the living room missing plates, trash under the furniture & beds, floors were not clean. Lid to trash can was broken and the toilet seat in the master bathroom was cracked. We did not have a parking pass for the private access to the beach nor were bikes available as listed. We contacted Vacasa rentals & provided pictures. They sent someone out to clean while we were out having lunch. It was slightly cleaner when we returned but trash still under furniture. Darren, a Vacasa employee dropped by mid-week to drop off a quilt. My husband showed him the missing light switch and outlet covers and the laundry laying in front of the house. Darren picked up the laundry and the came back later that day to replace the missing plates and brought over the parking passes that we were told on Tuesday we have to drive 30 minutes away to Corolla to pick up. On a scale of 1-5, I would give Vacasa 3 stars, but I would give Darren 5+.

The house is as pictured in the listing and was fine, but the cleaning was subpar upon check in. House was full of cobwebs and spiders and not in hard to reach areas to clean either. Dishes in cabinets were dirty, several outlets did not work in the house either

Central AC is great, and the kitchen is well-stocked. Very quiet, spacious home that made it very comfortable for me to stay in (I was alone). ⚠️ No dishwasher exists, so be prepared to hand wash and dry a lot of dishes if you have a large group. Light bulbs and batteries in TV remotes were dead, so hopefully Vacasa management tests and replaces all bulbs/batteries before next guest.

We absolutely loved this space! It's laid out well for a larger family group looking for a quiet, tranquil space. A few things we would note for the owners-the electrical system is strange. We had a hard time figuring out what switches went to what. Several lamps did not work. A few that did work would come on and then flicker on and off. The TV in the living room would connect and then disconnect at periods throughout the weekend. My husband believes that was due to the Roku being older and a simple upgrade may fix it. Also, the lamp at the end of the driveway does not work and it would have come in handy at night as the driveway is very easy to miss. All in all, those are just small things that we wanted to make the owners aware of but not things that inconvenienced our stay. We have this space saved for future visits!

Lovely home! Kitchen was amazing and it was quite spacious. Cool location for our first leg of the trip. A little disappointed that the bikes all had flat tires and the pond was a little grimey but that's summer ponds for ya. Overall, great place to stay.

We loved the retreat at Turtle Pond. It was quiet, comfortable, and exactly as described. Not only that, but most things that we needed were completely furnished and there were kayaks and bicycles even to use. I'd recommend this property and hope that I will get to stay there again in the future!

Beautiful and cozy spot, nestled in the park like Southern Shores Community; Close enough to the beach, restaurants and shopping, but with enough distance from the heavy traffic and hubbub of the busy OBX. We loved this spot!
