3 year running at the Holiday Inn for the Xmas dinner/disco. I think this year was the best so far. Well organised with great food and drink, a good DJ and brilliant company followed by a great nights sleep in a massive bed and a nice breakfast the next morning.

If you want to sleep in your room make sure there is no function on.
The whole hotel was vibrating and thumping with the noise.
I hoped it would stop at 11pm but it went on until half past midnight.
I had to be up at 6am for an early start!

We had two rooms. One was ok and as expected but my experience of checking in was disappointing. Arrived at 1.15pm and was told room not ready (completely understand that room not ready till 3) but was told I could not check in - never had this before and had to check in when we arrived later that evening. This is fine if those are your rules but when checking out this morning there was a couple at10am being allowed to check in?? Our second room for daughter and son in law was not good at all. Only one towel in the room and that was dirty. There was hair in the shower and poo left in the toilet. Your night manager did apologise this morning and said should have phoned down but when arriving late not all these things were obvious. Not what I would expect for paying nearly £200 and very disappointed. Sorry

I was Charged full price at £123 for 1 night for a standard Double I was given room 212 which is probably the smallest room I have ever had the mis pleasure of staying in. The bathroom was so small it was a struggle to shut the door without leaning over the toilet. I don't have a problem with them putting someone in these kinds of rooms but don't charge me full price for it.

Rooms were quite dated, strange colour choice on the walls. Bed not the comfiest. Everything in working order, fine for a 1 night stop over. Staff lovely

The welcome note was to the wrong person.. so it makes us worried we have been checked in wrong room. Breakfast was a bit chaotic. We were told to pick a table and when we did, they said we can’t sit there although there are people sitting there. The only thing that was good, there is aircondition but it turns itself off after sometime which was in the middle of the night...

Was given the tiniest room on a corner, can’t move in that bathroom at all. room was filthy. Not enough towels. A female staff on desk was constantly rude. On my last day I was told to leave as my partner was coming to visit me in my room. No money refunded either

Very hospitible, exceptionally helpful & friendly staff. Stuart & Yana made our stay so delightful that we kept extending our stay. Clean, quiet, safe!!! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hotel was lovely but when we got there was a wedding party. Music was booming till early hours. Reception werent helpful when we asked if had different room away from the wedding party. Why put non wedding guests right next to party. Not happy

The room wasn’t properly cleaned, cob webs in clear view, bath gel not topped up, carpet stained and dusty. Disappointing upon checkout the receptionist was miserable didn’t even greet me or give eye contact after keeping me waiting or even asked how my stay was so didn’t feel that she was interested enough to hear my feedback in person which is my normal preference! Restaurant staff were okay but certain items missing from the menu and had to remind them to bring my complete meal out as one item was missing which they hadn’t noticed and didn’t even come back to check if my meal was okay or not! Bear in mind it was not that busy at 5.30pm!

Super friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom had only one large towel out even though it was booked as a double room. Apparently there’s another in a cupboard somewhere but bed, shower and breakfast are the key 3 things you want and one of those wasn’t ideal for the sake of putting out an extra towel. Room was very clean and bed comfy although building looks a little tired. Small bit of litter outside room door but easy to miss as it was a clear plastic cup. Breakfast excellent and great value for money. Good choice, not too busy. Staff attentive.
