The lady behind the desk was very kind. First room had stains and wrinkled up sheets in BOTH beds! I kindly told the lady and she quickly switched rooms for me. 2nd room had stains all over one of the beds and pubic hair in it!!! Also used toilet paper roll in bathroom.
I asked for a refund as I couldn't stay in those conditions. I was declined, so I disputed the transaction. Moved to a Holiday Inn and slept like beautifully

Functional hotel with below average service. Room was clean but had clear signs of wear and tear. Wasn’t able to check in until almost an hour after checkin time due to computer issues but no solution was provided to minimize the inconvenience.

The property is very close (walking distance) from Vassar which was very nice. The hotel itself was clean but had a smell to it. The hotel breakfast was minimal and not very appealing.

Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Good enough for a couple nights stay. Only issue was the other guests. Around 2am there were 3 different sets of people arguing, yelling, cursing etc. One sounded physical. I was concerned for how far it could escalate. No hotel security responded regardless of how loud they were.

The location of the hotel was good for my purposes. Biggest issue was the alarm clock in the room made
noises, all night long, on its own and had to be unplugged. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

My room was very small and the bed needs to be replaced. I was very disappointed that my son and granddaughter went to use to pool before closing time and it was already closed. Also the rule of having to eat the offered breakfast in the area provided is inconvenient with small children. I will never stay at this hotel again and for over $200.00 a night I felt it was a waste of my money.

It was fine. The air conditioner was loud and hard to keep at a good temp. Also wished there were more gluten free choices for breakfast. My son has celiac disease and doesn’t like boiled eggs or the oranges and apples they had. Gluten free cereal option would be nice.

Amazing time. Wished we could have stayed there longer. Would return next year for church summer camp meeting. For breakfast wish there was more like egg omelettes or scrambled eggs. 😝😁

The room is spacious and clean. But the hotel does not have an elevator. The breakers minimal. The room rate was class to $230 per night. I expected a breakfast with more items, such as scrambled eggs.

Not much around the hotel. More of an industrial area, so kind of deserted on a Saturday night. Fine for a night’s stay though. Walls are a bit thin.

Front desk was very friendly. We asked about a recommendation for a place for drinks. They recommended Hurricane bar. It was a ten minute walk away, good food drinks and live music.
Only negative was the bed was a little too soft. But, not terrible.
Overall a great value for the price.

Under new management and they are trying, but Was disappointed that the laundry service was not working. Staff was very nice and apologetic for any inconveniences. I think it should improve now with new management.

Check in took half an hour, even though there were only two people ahead of me. Breakfast was incredibly skimpy.

The lighting in the room was poor. There were two lighting fixtures that did not work, possibly due to lightbulbs burned out. Could not see well to read.
There were no tissues in the tissue box, and I tend to blow my nose often.
There was a towel which had a black stain on it.
People were up to all hours in the other rooms.
Would have rather been on the first floor, then having to climb those stairs to the second floor. Did not have that option. No elevator.

Very clean rooms and friendly staff, but I only have three complaints. First, the beds were not queen size beds. More like twin. Second, when I looked up the hotel and it stated it served breakfast it would have been better to put continental breakfast. And last, my aunt left her belongings on the bed due to her health issues. We came back from my cousin funeral and her belongings were touched. I’ve stayed at several hotels and motels. Usually when the occupants belongings are on the bed the cleaning staff doesn’t touch the bed or touch the occupants belongings.

There was a fridge and microwave in the room. The hotel offers a small continental breakfast (cereal, toast, pancakes, bagels, yogurt, fresh apples, juice, hot tea, etc.), Coffee is available all day and night. Very responsive front desk staff. You will need to drive a bit to reach decent restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Quality Inn Poughkeepsie exceeded my expectations, and exceeded poor reviews on this site. It was reasonably priced, clean, quiet, and convenient for my purpose of visiting a student at Vassar College. It is located near many dining options and easy to reach. I'll stay here every time I visit Poughkeepsie.

The room was nice and in good condition but smelled of cigarettes. We were on the 2nd floor with 2 kids and the stairs were horrible and unsafe - made of metal with not normal place to step, and overlooking some steep grass so anyone (not just kids) could fall, not only in the dark. Very dangerous. Also, we liked the heated pool but our room was not connected to the main building so we had to walk in the cold to the other building. Check in was slow.

The gentleman at check in was great. I had to switch room type due to a physical disability and he was very accommodating and kind. The room was clean and cozy, the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we've ever slept in before. It's a no frills place, but quiet and ideally located to the Civic Center where the event we were attending was held. Many good options within a 2 minute walk.

Stayed for a night in one of their exterior rooms. Perfect for a quick weekend getaway. 15 mins from shopping areas and dining.

Stayed for one night while visiting a nearby college. Was a very good value for a budget motel. We had a room in the main building which was nicely updated, clean, and comfortable. Staff were very professional and pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was very limited but given the total cost of the stay still a good value.

Do not stay here. Horrible management. Scammers charged $250 fee for finding a cup with a cigarette in it from me smoking OUTSIDE. Did not smoke once in the room but charged me for leaving my cup from outside that i put my cigarette butt in to be kind and not litter outside. Never thought something like that could happen to me. I would never smoke in the room I don’t smoke in my own house. This really affected me financially too. I am fighting the claim and trying to get my money back for my whole stay. This place is scammers.

doors slamming all night long, people talking very loud in the hallways. booked for 2 nights left the 1st night couldn't take one more sleepless night. will not stay there again

My only issue was that they hold on to my 500 for no reason, and when I went to inquire about it i was told it was the system automatically hold it, I had to wait four days before I get back my money. That money is different from the 25 hold of if any damages to the room or such .
