Staff was very courteous and friendly.. I dont think it's a 4 star hotel, room condition was quite terrible, bulbs were fused, disposable glasses, no room cleaning, no vault, bathroom was very average, there was a foul smell in the room, no bathroom freshner, however, to my surprise no lunch is available in the hotel, however, must admit staff was very helpful and courteous.

Rooms are in need of renovation. They charge for overnight parking. Not in the best area for walking to dining.

I am a loyal IHG customer and this was the worst facility I have stayed at. Rooms are outdated, my first room smelled of smoke, had to pay a unposted “security parking fee” and $3 for coffee in the lobby, and the area is not safe or clean at all. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

A good middle-of-the-road hotel, comfy beds & pillows, air conditioner works efficiently, generally quiet except for occasional noise from rowdy people on the street at night if your window is open. (The neighbourhood is very sketchy at night.) Light Rail train is right across the street, so it was convenient to get around on public transit. The pub/restaurant food downstairs was surprisingly good, and so were a few Asian restaurants right across the street from the hotel, but the hotel restaurant and most of the restaurants across the street were closed on Sunday when we tried to get dinner.

Everything was excellent I’m planning to go back again

Every time a door closes to one of the neighboring rooms in the hallway you can hear it loud and clear in your room. This kept me up late at night and early in the morning. The heating and air-conditioning control is programmed so that you cannot leave the fan on all the time. This means that it’s very quiet in the room when the air conditioner goes off, and then suddenly becomes very loud when it comes back on. This also kept me up at night.

The following was not stated in Expedia site when booking: Parking fee for each night $50 deposit for each day We requested downstairs room and upon arrival they upgraded us to the 8th floor. We had to leave our bikes in their storage facility. Our room was not cleaned the entire stay. Was not advised at time of check in that we needed to call for room service. The manager on the first night was rude and not cooperative. Definitely the first and last time staying at any of these facilities Expedia needs to put the hotels fine prints on their website when booking. Now I have to wait 7-20 days for my deposit but they were quick to take it when we checked in. Not pleasant at all

Helpful and friendly staff. The Clem building and rooms seemed new or recently renovated. Convenient if you do not have a car, as it is very close to the tram station and airport shuttle provided.

Staff was friendly. Room was fresh and clean. Nice day. Only drawback was no free breakfast. Only $18 buffet in the morning seemed a little little pricey.

I wish the buffet had different options for breakfast . We eat the same thing Friday and Saturday .The staff was really nice . The pool area was great! very spacious. The rooms were big pillows and bed very comfortable.

It wasn’t a terrible stay by any means, but there were a few things that made the stay less enjoyable. I don’t recommend sitting on the chair that is in the room. It’s well worn and has a horrific odor. In the morning there was constant door slamming. It was very uncomfortable and disruptive. The staff was nice and helpful. I give them 2 thumbs up.

It started with being moved from a nice room on the seventh floor to a room on "the dog floor " I had no idea that meant a big long hallway full of rooms that were probably smoking rooms at one time and haven't been updated or really maintained for years. The bathtub and sink were rusted and the carpet looked like it was from 1976 and smelled like it too. When we tried to ask for some customer service was spoken down to by staff. Lots of noise from neighbors going on all hours of the night, so don't sleep very well. Obviously you have a dog who keeps getting woken up by strange people. Didn't take any pictures, but if anybody wants to check it out for themselves and it's room 104

Property is very clean , fast check In and check out

I am still angry at the fact the shift manager on the shift dragged a conversation with me about my service dog and ESA dog and actually charged me $25 fee. She then asked me what the service dog provide and I explained PTSD service dog with my therapist doctor that says I have a disability, but she dismissed that and continued educating me on what a service dog vs. service dog is. The three nights before that, I was not treated like that by the gentleman who checked me in at the front desk— he was outstanding. This female staff was absolutely disrespectful and horrible and she managed to smirk while questioning me.

Light in bathroom was flickering a lot.

The property is at the edge of downtown. There are several motels next to it. It isn’t a very safe area. However, the property itself is well-maintained. The hotel also has little outlet and restaurants. The fitness center is has various equipment.

Pros: 1/ staff was absolutely AMAZING! Special thank you to Jose (works in the breakfast area) for being nice, friendly, took time to have a small chat, and on top of his job! The amazing lady at the bar (I fail to remember her name), was professional yet friendly, high customer service skills, and she recommended fish tacos for lunch when I could not make a decision as I was beyond exhausted to focus. The same day, she was kind to grab me a piece of cheesecake after 9 PM and remained as great as she was earlier. 2/ food selection absolutely delicious! My workplace had a couple of events here last year and I was impressed then as I was on my stay for three nights! 3/ gorgeous building inside! Beautiful and spacious room with 1 king bed. 4/ pet friendly and we’re amazing with my 2 service dog girls! 5/ Front desk staff was simply flawless! 6/ the Dove selection of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion was a great addition to the room! And the water flow in the shower was smooth and relaxing. 7/ the bed and pillows were beyond comfortable! Sheets smelled nice. Cons: 1/ I found a roach-like bug in my room. I am not sure how long it was there. I killed it and flushed it away. 2/ coffee maker in the room was hideous! When I tried making coffee, the TV turned off twice. The coffee maker was slow and took three tries to make a cup of coffee. 3/ sink in bedroom didn’t drain water properly.

Stayed for a work trip for a night. My work truck was tucked in the back next to all the other work trucks. What I though was perfect view from the security cameras too. Sad to say all my power tools were stolen as well as a couple of other vehicles items were taken to. Security cameras didnt see anything that occurred. Happended in the middle of the night. Between 3-4am. The hotel has a tall fence and a security guard. Saddly 7000 dollars worth of tools were stolen. The security guard actualy got in her car and chased ofter the robbers for the license plate but wasnt able to do much after. Police were called but since the gentleman who checked us in didnt ask us to fill a car tag to tie our check in to our vehicle, they couldnt contact us when the crime occurred. Management didnt even offer a discount of the rooms or credit for a future stay. Not saying they had to. However it would have been a nice gesture since it happened on their property.

The surroundings of thr hotel were not very inviting

It is a ok place to stay short term a night or two. The only thing is San Jose is just a run down city and the hotel needs updating.
