Bed was super comfortable and room was impeccably clean!

We stayed overnight. We used no facilities of the hotel. We still paid a 20.00 dollar hotel fee.

This was an absolutely lovely place to stay, close to both Smithville and Atlantic City. Our bathroom could probably have used a bit of a face lift but overall it was a comfortable, convenient, clean hotel on a gorgeous property.

Aging historical hotel that was convenient for our overnight stay but in need of refurbishing. Pub style restaurant was expensive and mediocre at best.

The water in the toilet and the sink was rusty when running. I'm sure the water in the shower was also rusty, but we could not detect it.

I removed one star due to arrival at 4:00 to check in and having to wait 40 minutes for our room to be ready. We were tired from travel and h planned to rest up before our reservation nearby. We didn’t get to do that.

We have stayed here every summer for the past 20 years. It’s changed hands in ownership but the hotel and property being 110 years old is still beautiful. Even though renovated it’s still has some of its old world charm. And the staff was pleasant.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds are nicely kept. The room was clean and comfortable, but our air conditioning did not seem to work. Someone came up to the room promptly to look at it and had it working better, but it was then making a clanking noise all night and never reached near the temperature it was set to. The pools needed some cleaning and the elevators seem to be on their last thread. We were there to play golf, which was great, and just check out the resort after hearing positive things about it. Overall an underwhelming but comfortable stay, convenient if you’re golfing there, but in need of some updating.

Hotel was very nice and clean. Front desk staff seemed. Little confused and needed more training on the resort. Valet our first night was a little rude and just got in the car with my wife in it and moved it, sort of freaked her out.

The property was great. The rooms are small and does not have a microwave that is the only reason for the 4 star. Otherwise, the property was beautiful. Staff was great! The outdoor pool is incredible. The indoor pool is a little outdated.

It was our 3rd time staying here and it's always a weekend away we look forward to! The rooms are spacious and the outdoor pool is delightful!!! My husband loves the prime rib dinner too. We'll be back again next year!

The front desk staff was super super nice. We even got an upgrade. The rooms were extremely clean, which I was thankful for bc I'm super picky with staying in a clean room. The beds were comfortable and did not hurt my back at all. The only reason I have the hotel a 4 star for "property condition" is because the hot tub was covered up and broken, which was disappointing.
Overall we had a great, the hotel was refurbished and very modern, there was plenty of tasty restaurants near by, and to not deal w the smoke and rowdy crowds at Atlantic City was worth the stay. We will be back again.

The only thing I disliked was the mandatory tip for take out, I wouldn’t mind if this was something told to us but it wasn’t, also just the ordering food part was a hassle and felt like everytime I tried to order food I had to wait 15-20 mins for a server

We chose this property as the reviews shared positive comments about the facility and although the room/bed was comfy, the gym was dirty, machines old and TV's not working so wasted 30 minutes for all the wrong reasons - which is what the website showed as very nice! And the front desk could have cared less.

From when I arrived, all the staff greeted me. They were nice and friendly, mostly, interested in me as a person. The drinks and food was very tasty and good sizes. The hotel had a mixture of old world charm and new up grades. It was very cosy feel to sit with a book or enjoy activity of the 2 pools or 2 golf courses. I had a great time and look forward to the next time.

Hotel and grounds were beautiful. Old historic feel but updated well maintained comfortable rooms. Grounds are very nice-lovely gardens. Outside pool is very nice and my teens enjoyed the pool table and ping pong in the rec room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there for the a basketball tournanment at Atlantic City convention center which was only about a 15 minute drive.
