I am extremely disappointed with our recent stay at this hotel. The room was infested with roaches, which is absolutely unacceptable for any level of accommodation. We noticed them shortly after checking in, and it completely ruined our experience.
We expected a clean and comfortable environment, but instead, we were left feeling uncomfortable and disgusted.
Cleanliness and basic hygiene should be a top priority, and unfortunately, this hotel failed miserably. I would not recommend staying here until they address their pest problem and take better care of their facilities.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I would have liked more lamps in the room - there was only one. The rest was canned lighting.
Room and bathroom were clean. The ironing board and iron were in the toilet and shower room. I would not be prone to using an iron and ironing board that was stored next to the toilet.

We arrived at 10 pm the door was locked and we had to stay outside by lobby window and they where not happy because we arrived with RV and she was trying to get more money for parking because of the size and next morning there was lost ants in the sink

We stayed at Best Western San Juan Capistrano for 13 nights. Every attention to comfort was there without the costly price: spacious room, comfortable bed and pillows, quiet room heater AC unit, good sized and absorbent towels, amazingly huge complementary breakfast, daily maid service and courteous staff.

Rented 2 rooms and 1 room had mattresses so hard it was like the fake beds in the stores advertising bed linens. Also I reserved queen sized beds for both rooms and both rooms had full size beds. The chair in the room didn’t feel safe to sit in. Breakfast options were great.

The room was okay except for a chair that didn't work properly and a piece of furniture that looked like it was chewed by a dog. The breakfast was good. We picked the hotel because it was close to a concert venue that we were going to. We just thought the hotel was a bit pricey for what you get. On top of that, they charged us for parking.

There were ants in my room near the door and crawling on one of the 2 beds. It’s also located right off of a freeway ramp so most rooms are loud and there were vagrants in the parking lot. There was a sign posted on the lobby door that there is no public restroom to give you an idea of the number of homeless people walking around trying to find a restroom.
The pool house where the breakfast was is nice and across the freeway the rest of San Juan Capistrano is nice but I would not recommend this property.

The Hotel entrance was very vague. No clear entrance markings. Grounds were clean and Hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. Hotel is older and not very sound proof. The room door had no weatherstripping you could see day light around it, and you can hear doors slamming and people walking above you. Hotel looks like they are in the process of renovating it.

Most amazing comfortable king bed.
The location isn't the easiest to get to, you really have to watch because you can easily miss the turn.
It is an older hotel and needs updating but it was clean, comfortable, and affordable. The breakfast buffet was very nice, the room is large and there were many choices, something for everyone and you can dine in or they even have take out containers.
Overall a very quiet hotel.

We are used to a certain standard when staying at hotels and this one didnt cut it. We were in town for a wedding and stayed one night which was more than enough. We prefer other properties and regret not staying at the brand we usually stay. I also didn't appreciate housekeeping walking in on my naked husband. Thank goodness I was near the door to block her from fully entering. No knock, just walked in. Unexceptable!

Traveling with my 2 Teen Daughters. Carpets appeared as if they hadnt been changed in 8-10 years. The smoke odor in our Non-smoking room, was a lot to take. The staff, was friendly and serviceable, but the rooms could certainly use some modernized attention. Usually a Fan of Best Western, but not this one.

This best western is located right on the freeway, super easy to get to, but not loud in your room. The staff was very friendly. Overall the property was very well maintained and I would have rated this property higher if it were not for the ant problem. It’s an older building in Southern California so what can you do. Also the slide lock on the door had been previously ripped from the wall and not repaired properly leaving exposed screws and a faulty lock, for the right price I would stay again.

Right when you walk through the door at the lobby, smells horribly like cigarette. The price for this hotel is outrageous for a motel 6 quality. I was actually fearful the night. I stayed there. Felt unsafe The people next to me were outside drinking beer all night very disappointed

For my experience it was definitely a very convenient location and everything was clean and organized,house keeping was very nice and helpful,the only downside of it was that Beds were not firm at all too soft for my liking.

Breakfast was the only good part of our stay. Baby cockroaches - hot water was only luke warm - sticky floors and carpet - room smell on arrival like disinfectant and dirt and bleach - holes in walls by floor - no umbrellas by pool as shown in photo - good luck.

Whoever was working at 1pm was absolutely terrible. Didn’t help us at all and super rude. Thank good the women that was there when WE FINALLY WERE ALLOWED TO CHECK IN AT 7:50 pm, thankfully she was great and very nice.

The staff stole Property out of my room! When I complained, they charge me an extra $20 for parking!?!? Do not stay there microwave didn’t work. The room is old beer cans laying around everywhere people hanging out partying terrible place.

Liked: I requested a quiet spot and we were given a room near eucalyptus trees. We enjoyed the balcony and trees. Beds were made, fresh towels given. Good sized bed. Appreciated the fridge, microwave, and iron with board. Good counter space at the sink for our toiletries. Did not like: The hard bed frame stuck out on the corners a couple inches out and my husband and I bruised our shins often walking around the bed. The a/c did not function well. The room was stuffy, even though a/c was set to coolest level. I found myself tossing and turning each night in discomfort. There was some condensation on the sliding glass door and my slippers felt sticky from the air, as I slid my feet into them. Ants came into the room from outside through the gaps in the door frame. The fire alarm was open, revealing empty batteries. The eggs for breakfast did not taste like real eggs.

The pictures made it look very nice. We got there and the hot tub holds maybe 3 people. The rooms are small. The girl who works the front desk is rude. Definitely would not recommend this place.
