Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable

Bathroom was old and outdated. You can hear the pipes. Room smelled weird, like an old persons house.

Very fine and clean rooms. A lot of cruise ships guests hanging around - waiting and sleeping and makes the hotel very into this segment for people and not even looking up when passing or coming home… so fine for the stay and business is cruises.

Our room was disgusting. Blood on a chair, bathroom…I have no words for. Maybe because we in a different tower that doesn’t cater to the cruise ships? It was overall, gross.

Very nice hotel. Room was large, attractive, and clean. Lobby area spacious, with restaurant to the left. Friendly staff. Not really near anything, a long half mile walk to a few places to eat.

This property was easy to park and navigate. We had issues constantly with the outside door and put room door not opening if the correct touch was not applied. The venue felt aged but cosmetic updates. We didn’t have maid service during the two night stay if that was normal. The room was quiet and nice to stay in. We did buy a jacket on sale form the gift shop.

When we travel from east coast we were skeptical about the amenities and cleanliness, but the property was clean, staff were very informative and patient with my tons of questions! Only minus i would say is the rooms dont have a microwave as we do have here in other hotels.

Overall we were pleased with the Staff and service especially the Front Desk. We asked Housekeeping to tidy up our room and she readily agreed, but she left it untouched which was disappointing. Also, we had an issue with the tour groups and crew that were gathering and organizing directly in front of our door at 5:30 am. We could actually hear the crew communicating very loudly over their walkie talkies and I kindly asked them to move to the elevator area, which they did. The morning buffet left a LOT to be desired. In total it was a pleasant stay and we will definitely consider it for our next visit to Alaska!

The staff were amazing, the facility itself and the food were very much not what you would expect. The tub wouldn't drain while taking a shower, the shower itself wasn't fully cleaned when we were there. The TV graphics were not the best and the inside of the hotel itself needs some love. You had wallpaper peeling in placed, etc. The food was really bad and not what we expected for paying $130 for the food. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare but there was no seasoning, the vegetables were very obviously frozen vegetables cooked and tried to pass for fresh, and it was a small serving of potatoes compared to the amount of steak and mashed potatoes. For the amount we paid, we would at least expect fresh vegetables and the steak seasoned. My husband got the seafood alfredo and it also had very minimal flavor. Overall, with the other rating, we really expected a lot more at this location so were quite shocked. To put this in perspective, the other location we stayed at had a broken shower as well and I gave that location 5 stars because everything else was so amazing and it was a motel. If you are staying one night and not eating here and just sleeping in the bed, then this place will work great. If you are looking to have a nice dinner and relax, this is not the location for you.

Overall, the stay at this property was good. It seems to primarily cater to tour groups in transit for overnight stays. The front desk staff treated guests with a gruffness that was incredibly offputting. It felt like some of them went out of their way to be unhelpful. There were some highlights, though! While waiting for check-in, a staff member brought around Rhubarb lemonade, a lovely touch! As other reviews mentioned, the rooms were slightly tired but clean and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The housekeeping staff was great. We got takeout from the restaurant one night, and the fish and chips were delicious! The hotel is in a good location with restaurants and other attractions within walking distance.

It was an okay place to stay. Make sure you check out at the desk. They assessed me a walk away fee of $5.

Unfortunately cleanliness was very poor and the toilet had an important leaking. Apparently, due to new owner (Holland America), clients from their cruises receive a better service and better rooms. I made my reservation via Expedia, so I didn’t receive an acceptable service…This is just a presumption based on some information obtained from current hotel employees…
