The advertising for this place is the definition of false advertising. The room was the tiniest room I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in Japan. You could barely fit two people in there without running into each other between the counter and the bed and I had myself, my husband and two kids. I booked this property because of the pictures online that are ridiculously unrealistic but I wouldn’t know that until we arrived unfortunately. The pool is freezing and tiny. There were 12 people at the pool and you couldn’t go anywhere without running into someone…like barely fit five people in the pool comfortably. My daughter could not even jump in and swim without splashing other people. I legit thought I was booking a castle because that is in your pictures. I’m not from here so I did not know it is a local castle that you advertise as your hotel. What a joke. I paid so much money for a concrete jungle. Honestly I want my money back. My family travelled from Canada to stay in castles and have an experience that we can’t get at home. This was extremely disappointing. I’m staying now at the Fourvière Lyon for the same price. It feels and looks like a literal castle, as advertised. We have a two room, two bath little suite. The fact that these two rooms are technically considered equal is wild to me. Fix your false advertising please and I’d like to see you remedy this situation. Unbelievable.

Room was pleasant and clean, staff were friendly. Was slightly further out of town than expected (walk of approx 20 mins) so one evening went to a restaurant just around the corner instead (there looked to be a couple of decent options.) Pool was reasonable.

The location of the hotel was fine. It’s fairly close to the city center. The staff were friendly but this hotel should not have a 4 star rating. While the rooms and hotel were clean the condition of the hotel interior are tired. The outside of the hotel is badly in need of a refresh. In addition, the pictures of the hotel do not accurately represent the exterior. At breakfast when items ran out during the service hours the items were not refilled.

Hotel was modern and had all the amenities that we needed (e.g. free WiFi, charging ports, safe, shower soaps, nice shower with overhead and hand-held, etc.). The restaurant was closed when we arrived, but the chef makes really nice items available for purchase at the bar behind the reception. I can’t remember the name of the person who helped us, but he warmed up our two items, got us some bread and made me a perfect margarita too. Since it was pouring down rain, we opted to dine in and were glad we did when we saw so many coming back to the hotel completely soaked. Thanks!

The staff tried to convince me to pay 8 Euro to use their parking. When I asked how much the public parking was he told me it was the same. Incorrect! Public parking was 4.8 Euro, almost half the cost and it was much more convenient. They also immediately added up the breakfast fees, which was $16 euro . I had to ask them to take off the charges. I felt like they were price gouging.
Location is not the greatest. You need to walk 15 minutes to get to town

Avoid at all costs. Price started off ok and used my reward night so was only about €50 including breakfast. In my haste to get the booking done I booked for that night in error. To get it changed cost another €60 and when we Got to the hotel suddenly breakfast was not included, they were almost empty , parking was not included and they charged us €30 to have the dogs in the room.

Stayed there during very hot days and unfortunately the air conditioning was not working properly it was hard to sleep. Swimming pool was handy to refresh but rather small. Parking available in the neighborhood, good location close to Château of Blois and city center. Overall a good and clean hotel but somehow it didn’t feel like a great value for money.

Blois was a wonderful place to visit. The Novotel people were kind and helpful - even explaining how to maneuver the adjacent parking lot to our advantage. We had a wonderful coffee and a very comfortable night's sleep.

Good central location but otherwise quite disappointing. Understaffed- took ages to check in and no bar staff to look after customers.
1 complimentary bottle of water instead of one per head as in other Novotel hotels. Same for tea bags- only one in room. Air-conditioning in one room didn’t work and breakfast again not as extensive as in other Novotel hotels. Disappointing!

We arrived early in blois having cycled part of the loire a velo. We looked to check in and were told our room would not be available until 2pm so we waited. We ordered some drinks and eventually the room was ready at 3pm. The room was small but the air con was good. My daughter wanted to use the pool but there was not a single umbrella at the pool in 35 degree heat. The facilities in the room were good and it looks really new. Location of hotel to town was also good.

Nice room, friendly staff! The location is not actually in the “centre” as the name implies, but it is a 10 minute walk to everything in the city center. Being a little outside of the old town and city center keeps it a little quieter and less expensive, which gave it great value.

Front desk amazingly great, housekeeping not so much. Our given room not done, alternate room almost ready, had to wait 5 minutes. Next day, we recieved a new bottle of water, no towels, no coffee, no clean up. Had to ask for a little re-fresh. Parking was easy, bar at nite nice.

Comfort room booked for 2 adults and 1 child aged 15. After a day of travelling up from the South we entered our room to see that a sofa bed had been provided for our daughter. Usual teenage tantrum which I resolved by opening up the bed to make a double. We were late arriving and still had to find somewhere to eat and it wasn’t until the following morning when I checked my reservation that I noticed the room I had actually booked was one with a double and twin beds. Nothing was raised with reception at the time as no price difference. Double Beds was comfortable but when I turned on the bedside lights I did notice that the telephone and table were very dusty.

Good basic hotel at a reasonable price. Told when we checked in that breakfast was included but when we checked out were charged for it and told that it was not. We were told that we should not have been told that by the woman who checked us in; that it was a mistake.. We were charged anyway. €20 each is exorbitant for the breakfast we received. Otherwise the facility is quite acceptable.

This Holiday Inn will be familiar to anyone who has stayed at a Holiday Inn in the states. Clean, large rooms and bathrooms and the usual services. We were very happy with our stay except for the very poor A/C in our first room. We were unable to more because all the rooms were booked because of a busy weekend. The staff went out of thier way to help us with a problem that should be taken care of by management/room refurbishment.
We were able to eventually move to a very comfortable room. One concern for some might be the hotel's location. It is on the top of the hill in Blois and most of the dining and nightlife is at the bottom of the hill making for a difficult return if you walk, or a fairly expensive cab ride.

The hotel is fairly hard to find. The parking for the hotel is not signposted very well and it is unclear how you would park to check in before using the hotel car park. We arrived on Sunday evening so we could park in the public car park with no problem but it might be difficult at other times. However the staff on reception were helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.

This hotel is on a great location with free parking so it is easy to walk into the town. The rooms are very modern and comfortable with a 'pillow menu' which is great for an assured good nights sleep!
My only criticism was the price of the breakfast. I wouldn't pay 16€ for a breakfast no matter how good it was!

We got the directions for this hotel from Expedia however they have the WRONG ADDRESS! At 2AM in the morning (after an 8 hour driving day) the address that Expedia had listed sent us 20 minutes in the wrong direction. We had the directions in our GPS exactly as Expedia had the address listed but it was not the correct address. This caused 40 minutes of delays after an already very long day in the car as well, it was very late at night. Very disappointing. We finally went to the hotels main website and did a search to find the correct address for them.
