This hotel is in serious need of upgrades. It was "ok" for a 1 night stay but definitely does not rate the 10 out of 10 they have for reviews. My guess is alot of fake reviews. The elevator is old. The walls have scuffs, paint chips you name it. The floor had stuff on it. Clear the vaccuum job was bad. Bed is hard. Fan in bathroom very loud. The air conditioning unit was very noisy. Definitely needs a makeover bad. The front desk man Chrstian was very nice. I wont stay there again.

It started when we checked in, and they gave us a room right across from the elevator, which I specifically requested NOT to get. That was changed. Then, I used the text message option to request clean towels and trash bins emptied on the second day. When I returned nothing had been done. I was told I could empty the trash myself and leave it outside my door for pick up. Also, my room key didn't work.
The next morning I requested clean towels and pick up of the wet ones. I did get the towels, but the stack of dirty ones remained in the bathroom. I don't think my requests were unreasonable, so that's pretty ridiculous. No Kleenex in the room until the last day, when I asked if they had any. Lotion in the shower instead of conditioner. Could be cleaner, for sure.
The person who checked us in was very friendly, as was the other night person. The staff are friendly, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. We used to always stay at this hotel when visiting Fort Lauderdale, but this time was the last.

The first room woke up with roaches crawling on me. They moved me to a second room which also had roaches in the microwave and fridge.

This hotel is super clean, the breakfast is great, and the staff is wonderful especially Karla. She is truly an amazing person who goes above and beyond to make sure all the guests have a great experience during their stay. The property itself is beautiful and it comes with a gym and swimming pool which shocked me because the price is the most affordable in the area. It also comes with a huge lobby with plenty seating so you can relax, have a meeting, or enjoy freshly prepared coffee. If you’re in Fort Lauderdale and looking for a great experience without breaking your pockets staying at the la Quinta in plantation is the right choice to make.

Rooms smelled moldy, we had two double beds. One of them wasn’t even usable as the mattress had ridiculously large and dent in the mattress. As a receipt when checking out several times still have yet to receive it by email..

First of all, I was greeted rudely at my arrival by the Receptionist, Christian.
I did not get the room that I paid extra for.
There was no soap or towels in the room.
The room was filthy and dirty.
We saw roaches running around due to a lack of cleaning. We are very disappointed.

I love the area of the hotel, very convenient to malls and others shopping areas.
My one problem was I kept seeing some small roaches.
Then the AC was leaking which had the carpet wet and the room carried a scent.
The breakfast needs more option.

Although we enjoyed our short stay, we did have an issue with the room. Upon arrival, the room had an odor and we found that was due to the AC leaking. The carpet was wet, and the odor was from the wet carpet. Also, secondary to a very sudden downpour of rain. The hallway flooded in front of our room. The good thing about it was that our room did not get flooded, but the hallway was flooded. However, once we spoke to the manager, within a few minutes or so, they were attending to the issue. Also, the beds were small to accommodate myself and Family, probably having double queen beds would make it a more comfortable stay.

Okay, but need updating. Mold on the bathroom ceiling and bed spread has burn marks. The room I was put in was warm and the air couldn't be adjusted. I told the front desk about my complaint and they said they would check into switching me into another room but they never got back to me. I said it's only a few days stay so I let it be.

Called before checking in to see if it was possible to check in around 12 and the clerk on the phone answered with an attitude, when we walked in to check in 2 representatives were behind the desk and neither were welcoming & both were hesitant to tend to us almost like they were waiting to see who was going to help us first. The elevator being down wasn’t a huge issue for us but the stair case smells like wet dog so that was unpleasant. The closet in our room smelled like mold & upon looking we discovered that there was a leak coming from the ceiling of the closet that thankfully we didn’t put our clothes in. But we did mention the leak before checking out and hope this review helps.

This place could use kicking up it's cleanliness. Shower curtain was wet and not extended upon arrival. Once open it had black dots on the white curtain.
They only put one bath towel for a party of 2.
Not the places fault but people were walking and talking all night non stop until the morning in the hallways.
King side bed was uncomfortable as it had been slept on continuously in the same spots. Mattresses should be flipped regular ly.

Elevator was broken for first 2 days and I was on the 4th floor. Also no hot water for 3 days. Toilet in Room 411 runs every few minutes so needs a repair. Over weekend, very noisy and last night (Tuesday night) loud people in parking lot until 3am. On the positive side, very clean and friendly staff.

Upon approaching the hotel at checkin we noticed the front door was filthy. The tables in the lobby were dirty. When we checked in, the room we got had mold growing in the bathroom and the entire room smelled moldy, the carpet was also wet. They moved us to a second room and this room smelled horrible as well.. apparently the AC units freeze up and thaw out wetting up the carpet and leaving a horrible odor in the room.Many guests who checked in after us had the same complaints, some even left the hotel. We were moved again to another room which was better than the first 2. Housekeeping was supposed to come every 3rd day and we never saw them. we were there for 8 days. We had to go down to the lobby to get rour own replacement towels and we had to change our own sheets which is deplorable. To make matters worse the only elevator in the building broke down so we had to lug our heavy bags up and down the staircase. We wanted to use the washing machines and the front desk never had quarters. One of the front desk agents told me to go to the hotel next door to request quarters. I will never visit this property again and I will not recomend anyone to stay at this hotel. Upgrade/renovate the hotel or shut down.
