Centrally located, so walkable everywhere
Reception staff were friendly and accomidating. House keeping offered free a wake up service at 7 am weildng their noisy carts up and down the hallway.

The room is dark as two lights were not working and one was very deem. Unable to control the thermostat in the room so it is cold. Carpet is dirty as it is old and brown in color. Yeah, this hotel in dire of renovation. Room got funny smell too.

Extremely unsafe. I security office had to let me in and out of the building. The door to my room beeped until I dead bolted it. The people lingering out from of the hotel were uninviting. No air conditioning and the light switch in my room didn’t work. I booked a queen bed room and was told that I couldn’t have that even though my booking confirmation stated so. This hotel should not be an option on hotels.com.

I had an issue with my booked hotel and this hotel was literally the only room available in Yellowknife, and I have to say I’m thankful that I had a bed. Room was cleaner than I expected. So very very old. Security in the lobby did not make me feel safe. Didn’t sleep well, as I felt unsafe. As mentioned in other reviews many people hanging out outside, I guess this was where security was good. I didn’t do breakfast, just got to my other hotel. Was ok as a last resort.

Front desk clerk good, friendly. Professional. Room is clean but mattress terrible. Needs many updates.

I know this isn’t everyone’s first choice of hotels but I like it because staff are friendly and everything I want is within walking distance. I also find the price reasonable.

The hotel staff were very courteous, polite and professional, they were willing to assist me with whatever needs I had, great place to stay.

Older hotel and it shows in the fixtures and ammenities; however, it is clean and the staff are great.

The front staff was friendly and accomadating. The room was nice and clean. Wish the garbage cans were a bit deeper but it was still a nice stay

We canceled immediately upon arrival and found a room at the Explorer.

Rooms had no a/c and lots of people just hanging out in the lobby and front stairs.

No designated place for parking, only street parking available. Room was not equipped with AC. Portable ac provided on request. Standing water smell noted in the room.

This hotel needs to be renovated immediately. It is dated with no air conditioning and the room had a broken window. The carpets need deep cleaning. The staff were nice and are doing the best they can. The room was expensive considering the condition. Yellowknife needs to invest more in their hotels.

Serious issues with belligerent (cranky people - high on something outside). This is not your best choice, look elsewhere and spend more $, unless you are in your way through and just need to wash off, sleep and go. serioud wall banging, security trying to get into nexst room, it was a nightmare. Also, no wifi, no parking, had to go to city hall for pass or move car and pay meter every 2 hours. This Hotel would stop anyone from staying in NWT.

The hotel is right downtown, which is great, except that there is no parking. So we had to pay for parking during our stay. Aside from that the stay was fairly average.

The staff were amazing! The place is old, but comfortable. The area around it was sketchy and there is NO parking. We were expected to pay the city’s meter parking during our stay.

Had to park on the street, and you had to pay for parking past 8:00 a.m.. Broken bottles on the sidewalk, liquor bottles and food was everywhere on the grass. Bed was saggy. Room was okay. Around 4 in the morning someone was yelling and screaming for about 1 hour. Beautiful place, disappointed with the hotel.
