We stayed here two nights so we would have a whole day to see the castle and abbey. That was a good idea. It was great staying here. We had a view of the shore and sea. The restaurant had delicious food.
If you come to Le Mont Saint-Michel, be sure to call ahead and get precise directions to the parking lots for the shuttle bus to the island. We did not have that info and we felt lucky to find people to give us the parking lot code and to tell us how to take our luggage to the shuttle. And beware, you will carry your luggage up flights of stairs to get to your room. This island is not a place to be if you have trouble walking.
After we got on the island we had a great time. Don't miss the little shops with galletes (French burritos) and ice-cream cones. And hold on to your hats when get near the weather side of the island!!
I will stay here again when I have the chance.

We loved this cute hotel. Our room had windows with a nice view. This was a suite and had a separate small area with extra bed for our young adult son. Very convenient! Lots of stairs but it is Mont Saint Michel after all!

The location is awesome, the hotel however has multiple annexed buildings up and down the mont, which was actually pretty interesting but they seems a bit like an afterthought or less attention was given to them.

It is apartment size. Very nice and clean. Allows you to stay on the bay without all the people. There was at least 1 000,000 stars out that night to view. Absolutely beautiful!!!!

The location was amazing! It is worth the overnight stay to be on Mont Saint-Michel after the day crowds were gone! Our room was ordinary but comfortable enough for the price and location. The restaurant of the same name is a great place to eat for the extraordinary omelettes, but you will need to make a reservation for dinner as they turned away walk-ins.

This was a high light of our European tour !! Our room view was amazing looking up to the abbey.
We had a beautiful meal in the evening with excellent waitresses serving us.The pear sorbet was to die for.Highly recommend.

We arrived at Mt. St. Michel and we're directed to check-in. It was quickly and efficiently accomplished. Our room was clean and the view, amazing.

Check in was quick. It wasn’t the most updated room and bathroom but all I really care about is that’s it’s clean, which it was. Breakfast ran out of bread 30 mins before closing and did not get replenished even after a few other guests asked for it. That was really the only disappointment. We skipped breakfast the next day. The stairs are steep, so if you can travel light. I’d stay again as long as I get up earlier for breakfast:)

Fabulous location. Needcto park in no3 car park and walk 35 mins or bus into the mont.
Pay 25 euro on exit.
Book a table for dinner or youll be hunting to get food.

Disappointing for an hotel costing almost €400. Reception staff were polite & welcoming but staff in the restaurant were rude. Reception had made a reservation for us for dinner but the hostess in the restaurant told us to line up outside. It was very hot on the top floor which made sleeping a challenge. Breakfast was dissapointing - with cold runny scrambled eggs.

Stayed in the suite and it was exactly like the photos. Modern and clean room in a historic hotel with a beautiful view. Breakfast was great. Our only regret was that we stayed for just one night.

By far the best way to explore Mont Saint Michel is to stay overnight and have the early morning to explore without the daytime crowds. Hotel is situated right near the entrance, although we missed it the first time. Great location and helpful staff!

The room was quite small and there were many stairs to navigate with luggage but it was great to stay on the island which gave far more time to explore in the morning and evenings.

Being an older building, we fell it needs better care. The carpet and the stairs were dirty, the room did not have air conditioning, not even a fan and it was hot. I believe, that it needs care and attention.

The worst hotel and service ever! Disgustingly dirty, and unsafe. Our balcony was about to fall apart and was accessible by a stone stair case. The staff were awful and made us follow other guest to our room which was confusing. They could not provide basics like water or ice. For $290 US big tourist rip off. Don’t bother staying on MSM, not worth it. Tourist trap from the word go. We left and did not even sleep in the room

It was fun to stay on Mont St Michel after the masses of people leave. The hotel at the base was conveniently located. Of course, the hotel is dated but the bedroom was clean. The bath towels were awful.
The restaurant of the hotel was a disappointment. We did not try the omelet but it was seemed to be very popular. The coquille at Jacques was tasty.

Marvelous hotel! Charming and interesting owner, perfect room/ bedding/ bathroom/ breakfast and service. And the entire hotel is on the theme of the DDay landings. Very tastefully and appropriately decorated - fascinating memorabilia! Very very central but quiet. Would 100% come back here!

Stayed here a decade ago - still the same - it’s been around a long time. A little mixed up booking and glad I called to confirm as they had my rooms and dates wrong but all got fixed. What can you say it’s the Mont - if you go stay on island!!!

The only issue was the bathroom.
You cannot take a shower standing up. They installed the bathtub under the mansard roof and no bathtub curtain…

arrived late evening. reception was deserted! wandered around outside on empty streets to stumble upon a lit door way a half block up in a side alley/walkway that says La Mere Pouland reception. HOW ABOUT A NOTE ON THE DOOR OF THE HOTEL/RECEPTION THAT SAYS IN FRENCH, ENGLISH AND GERMAN. That reception is down the street with a liu map!!!!!!

This hotel is one of a kind. Absolutely spectacular! I hope to stay here again and again! Mont saint michel is such an amazing place! Truly magical! This hotel is the best on the island.

This was the worst hotel med and my wife ever stayed at. Runt down building, dirty rooms and terrible breakfast (old bread if you vere lucky to get som). Very expensive parking 25 euro per night (we vere told 14). So we can not recomend this hotel.

We really loved our stay at this hotel. It was a beautiful hotel with a lot of charm and an easy walk to the scenic and commercial parts of the city for shopping and dining. When we faced a train delay and tried to communicate with the staff, there was a unpleasant feeling we got from the staff from that phone call and continued on throughout our stay that wasn't great. Actually looking back - it was so unpleasant we might consider staying somewhere else next time.

This was a fine lady in its day. They have let the hotel run down considerably. It’s worth staying on the island and they know it so they put zero money into the facilities. Breakfast was terrible at check-in. They should’ve suggested that you needed a reservation for dinner. Everything was booked - there was nowhere to eat. It’s an absolutely beautiful island. Photos around every corner. It’s worth staying there in order to have a few hours in the early morning before mainland Tourists arrive. Do not expect any hospitality

The property is a bit dated but that is the whole idea of Mont Saint Michel. Things were comfortable and clean. Lots of stairs but that was welcome. Great experience!
